  • I really wish I wasn't in the situation that I find myself in. I am dealing with a dispute with a customer who has reported all my videos to UA-cam for privacy breaches!! I am so sorry if I am letting anyone down who was waiting for the FUEL TANK FIASCO PART #2 video. But unfortunately, I can't in good faith post anymore videos with this customer in but I will not be removing any videos that have already been posted as I had permission!!!

Don't worry about said company, its like there trying to hide there incompetence on the poor safety of said vehicles. What driver doesnt check there wheels are secure or safe? ? Then the tank strap issue he knew it wasnt on and decided to push his luck until it went wrong, if he had ran over the strap surely there would be signs of damage to the rear wheels or other parts? Its not like your disclosing company names and what they deliver etc. Keep up the great content

A few years back I was standing outside my front gate, when a wheel came off a wagon, and headed straight for me. As luck would have it, (for me) my neighbour came home and pulled into the path of the wheel. He wasn't hurt, but the car was a bit sick. The police were called, but did nothing, because the driver said that he'd been stuck on site, and rocking the truck trying to get out must have loosened the nuts. Yeah right.

As an O/O. I had to stop doing vids because my customers did not want me showing competitors, what work I was doing.
And to be honest I fully understand there situation. Maybe you should have shown the company the wheel nut situation first before posting.
I really think the better avenue. Would have to have shown the company these problems before posting them on social media.
The problem I can see is one of trust with your other customers. If they think for one moment that you are showing disparaging vlogs without giving them the chance to put things right. Then its goodbye Spanner Monkey.

Im not sure if this really the right attitude to have but in my opinion i wouldnt worry about upsetting UA-cam subscribers. Make sure your business and future is secure because in this day and age with the way the world is you need every penny. Thats not to say you should abandon your videos because you are good at them and obviously enjoy doing it, we enjoy watching them too. Its good to see the mechanical workings of trucks and how they get repaired etc
On a serious note is there any chance that if you get the opportunity in the future could you make a short video showing us how we can check the wheel nuts if they arent fitted with coloured indicators? Im going to be getting my HGV licence some point this year so would be good to know how to do it.

Don't know why they are complaining because what it shows is they thought they had a problem with their vehicle and they called to rectify that promptly they didn't know their driver was at fault but you showing the video shows they take mechanical issues on their fleet seriously so in hindsight your doing them good by showing it . But some directors have their heads so far up their own arse their breath constantly stinks of shit. Carry on what your doing we all enjoy it I'm an hgv driver so I know where your coming from

I've just found your channel I'm now subscriber 555.
Looks like the company is trying to cover up some major issues unfortunately rather than dealing with their issues!! Maybe better off not being involved with them and not being implicated in something in the long run.
    Best of luck👍

As a former HGV Class 1 driver, I can say in all honesty that in all of my years driving an artic and even when I was bus driver for six years, NOT ONCE was I ever offered a torque wrench with a socket to check wheel nuts prior to, during or after a journey OR with 100km of a wheel being changed. Not all trucks are equipped with plastic wheel nut indicators so just a visual check will never, ever confirm or be accepted as a reasonable method to check or test the tightness of a wheel nut. One of the reasons I stopped driving HGV's was the liability of wheel nuts not being checked after a wheel had been removed. It clearly states (Or did when I was driving) to retorque the sheel nuts after 100km. How do you do that then wihtout the tools and training? It is ALL so easy to blame the truck driver, that is why I gave up driving trucks.
As regards the company asking you to remove a video. I haven't seen the video and only just subscribed to your channel. They gave you permission to video so, to be fair as an equal party in the video content but nothing to gain, then you should put the video "Private" so nobody can see it unless they get your permission. I have 425 videos on here on my channel, ALL of the private because of GYT algorithms working against my content during the plandemic. Its a long story I am not going to go into. I started video content on GYT in October 2006 so know my way around. Try not to show company details, names, destinations, locations or people unless you have full written or verbal permission. Companies do not like faults being shown IF it shows them in any bad light. Chin up lad, keep on going!

Hello bud, I’ve just like to make a couple of points first of all, the director of the company should be thanking you forgetting that pointed out to him because I’m sure his own people wouldn’t of said anything to him and he could’ve ended up with a huge lawsuit and potentially deaths on his hands. That goes for the driver also, he should thank you too, for the same reasons. The maintenance practices are blatantly poor. And need a revamp. You are also correct re-the fuel tank issues you just stick to your guns mate. Keep the videos coming and I think you will have plenty of work without this companies. Regards Flipper

Just watched your video on the loose wheel nuts. Whilst I can see this is clearly a safety issue. I think it was your responsibility to make the company transport manager aware of your concerns.although you had permission to film your work on their vehicles, I think you were naive in thinking that putting that content into the public domain woul d not upset them.i think the that they presumed you would exercise some discretion. If I were them I would now think I couldn’t trust you to be party to their business
The relationship you had with them was to maintain their vehicles in turn they allowed you to film this in order to help your content. They didn’t have to allow any filming. Now the md thinks you have kicked him in the
    bollocks and rightly so.
I would be careful what you say on air, or you could loose more customers.
