Great vid - as a general rule from DAF when the egr is that blocked it’s clean the egr cooler, we are lucky enough that trucks on contracts only need them removed and the company sends a refurb clean one in so all old bolts are always snapped inside.

on the XF you can replace the motor seperately which is a pain to change as it is under the dash ..The LF with the Renault cab is a complete linkage ,,the CF is 28 years working on them are bullet proof well after Euro2 i have not seen any changed ..the XF i have seen and done loads

Thats a new hub as well ...Heard a banging and suprisingly kept going ..Yes someone as you say either never torqued the wheel or it was not retorqued ..whos fault it is i don't know ,But if the wheel did come off ,i would say driver at fault as he never pulled over when he heard the bang,surely he should have felt something through the steering ..So multiple failings and at the end of the day driver to blame if it fell off ,Afterall he did his checks ? lol

Hi Arran BUBBLESS2004 is right they are known as GREEN GODDES But they where built from 1953 to 56 for the army And used in later years 97 and 2002 firefighters strikes they were two wheel drive or four-wheel-drive depending on their use requirement. Regards, Flipper.

You are not stuck with DAF for those parts .Those are parts for the cummins engine ,so anyone who uses that engine ie Iveco will have them

Trade agreements with foreign countries have all changed so the price we might have paid a few years ago simply isn't there any longer. I believe something changed with regard our relationship with the EU a few years ago and that hasn't helped the common people

Im guessing that the dealers add costs to parts that they know you HAVE to buy because they are in short supply and they can make a mint.

We got sent a choice of calipers for an Isuzu pickup twin pit caliper pretty standard one was just over 100 pound the other was 700 pound thankfully it was the 100 pound one we needed 😂

I’d have said a few quid difference but it’s like Ford, went to them for injector seals for the rocker cover and they said £50 plus vat each but seen on one of the pages someone said go to Citroen or Peugeot and they’re less than £8 each all in for exactly the same part just a different number from another dealer

I work on cars and vans so I’m used to sky high parts prices , but those gaskets are a fucking joke………
