- We have so many cute, easy, and fun Easter Decor Projects in today's episode and I'm so glad you stopped by! You'll also find links to many of the crafting supplies below.
~ First, we are making an adorable Tiered Tray Decor Project using scrap wood, air dry clay, and a cute bunny cookie cutter. I used Folk Art paint in Patina, which is a perfect color for Easter decor! To achieve a crackled finish, I used Iron Orchid Designs (IOD) Craquelure stamp. I also used the French Script stamp from the IOD Rose Toile Stamp Collection. to embellish the clay while wet. Painted with Rustoleum Linen White and finished with Folk Art Clear Wax and Annie Sloan Black Wax, and accented with a beautiful bow. I love how it looks on my tiered tray!
~ Next, I am updating a plain tray purchased from Target, with beautiful IOD Paint Inlays. Many thanks to my sweet friend, Kimberly from My Victorian Heart! I purchase all my IOD products from her lovely online store: myvictorianhea...
She generously sent these gorgeous Paint Inlays for me to demonstrate. The tray turned out beautifully, along with the other scrap wood tiered tray piece. I was so impressed with how easy these are to use, and the results are stunning! The tray was painted in Rustoleum Linen White, and the scrap wood was painted in Waverly Ballet Slipper. Sealed with Rustoleum Matte Clear Acrylic.
~ Then, we decorate a canvas flag from Hobby Lobby with a sweet and shabby Easter theme!
I used the rabbit stamp from the IOD Farm Animal Stamp Collection and black ink. I then made my own stamp mask using a clear page protector. I also used a Grain Sack Stripe stamp and Ranger Archival Ink in Aquamarine. Grain Sack Stripe stencils can be found on Amazon or Jami Ray Vintage. We accent our flag with a beautiful Spring Floral arrangement with lambs ear garland, lavender and cotton bolls.
~ Finally, we create beautiful craft room storage solutions using tin cans and lids from jar candles. Making large spools for lace and ribbon storage couldn't be any easier! A little glue to assemble, and a coat of Rustoleum Spray Paint in Chiffon Cream and sealed with Rustoleum Matte Clear Acrylic. We make a cute and useful pin cushion on the top of one spool, and shabby chic the other. Wrapped with eyelet trim and lace, they make the cutest craft room storage display!

Always a pleasure to listen and watch you do amazing things. Thank you so much.😊👌💕🐇
I appreciate your support and I’m glad you enjoyed this week’s video. Thank you for watching Bunny!
Becky, you’ve been such an inspiration to me. I just started crafting again this past fall after watching Canterbury Cottage. That put me on the hunt for more crafters and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found you! I have recreated more of your ideas than I can count. My favorites, so far, are the risers I made out of my old silver chafing dishes. I look forward to your videos and love everything you do. Keep being you, you’re amazing!
Thank you Kristy! I love Canterbury Cottage too, and find Sherry to be a great source of inspiration. I’m glad you found my channel and are making many of these projects for yourself. Crafting enriches our lives in so many ways and it makes me happy to hear you have rediscovered it!
Without a great imagination, none of these household items could ever morph into such adorable, pretty and eye appealing works of art that serve a dual purpose; beauty and functionality! And that’s where you excel. Love the paint inlays, especially the monotone inlay. And I’m thinking grey should be the new
black, in some instances; less wiping back to tone down. Loved everything, as usual! Easter is the only holiday where the pastel and vibrant colors are used that identify that time of year. I ‘m also impressed that you’re humble enough to show us what doesn’t go right. Now if only I can learn to work as clean and neatly as you do! Crafting is my “Happy Place”, and I’m fortunate to have you in it!
Sharon, thank you for your kindness! Every wall in my home is painted light grey, and I accent with all the shabby pastel colors that I love. Many times, I’m learning as I’m crafting, and bring my viewers along. It makes my heart glad that you’re enjoying my channel. Happy Crafting, and I’ll see you next week!
Becky, I was browsing through my feed and this video suddenly appeared. I have no idea why I've never seen you before because I'm always searching for crafting videos.
I have to say, I've never seen techniques like yours. And what a great video to find that demonstrates several of your different styles.
My interest in creating began when I joined a scrapbooking group. After I finished the albums that I wanted to complete, I started making cards. And while my sister is still making cards, I moved on to crafts. Crafting gives me another dimension I didn't achieve from card making.
I've watched quite a few crafting videos and after a while, it just seems like the same old thing. But I didn't find that true with your video. Your approach is genius and inspiring!
I've actually never seen the paint transfer sheets before. But I probably wasn't looking for them. In fact, there were many techniques you used that I haven't seen before. And this is what makes your approach so intriguing.
I seem to get these grandeur ideas in my head but have trouble executing them. Now that I've seen this video, I know they can be done. Sometimes you have to think outside the box and you've shown me how to do that.
I have subscribed so I don't miss anymore of your ideas. And I look forward to future videos to learn more of your techniques and sense of style!
I'm so glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing!
Vickie, I am overwhelmed by the kindness of your comments; thank you! I’m so glad you’re here and appreciate you subscribing to my channel. I am interested in such a wide variety of crafts and like to include a few in each video. That way people can find a little bit of something they like each week. I’m so grateful to have sweet viewers like you, and hope I can continue to bring inspiration. Thank you again for watching and have a great week Vickie!
Becky, all your projects turned out so cute. You always give us such nice ideas and explain clearly how you make each one. Thanks for sharing. Love in Jesus
Thank you Shelia! I get so excited to share my craft projects each week. I also pray for my viewers to feel God’s love before I turn on my camera to film.
Oh Becky, you have no idea how much I enjoy you and your calm demeanor each week! Your projects are simply beautiful and so easy to follow and I am so happy that I found your channel!!! Thank you for giving me something to really look forward to weekly!!
Your biggest fan,
Jan K.
Your kind words just warm my heart Jan! God has blessed me with the opportunity to do what I love and share it every week. I wouldn’t have a channel without sweet viewers like you!
Dear Becky oooooh so nice Ideas and shabby and is hearty and sweet. Thanks my sweet. A lovely day from Jrène
Hello my sweet friend! Thank you for always watching my videos. I’m glad you liked this week’s projects Jrene!
Although very cute, those tin can spools take up far more precious craft room realestate, than when it was on a card.
Hello! I know the spools aren’t for every taste, but I do appreciate you watching. Thanks and have a great weekend!
Becky, Becky, Becky...your videos always make me smile and are so inspiring. 🥰 You are so creative and your attention to detail is on spot. Thanks as always for sharing. Can't wait until the next video.
Thank you so much sweet friend! It’s a pleasure to invite you into my craft room each week!
Genius idea with the spools. You must have the most darling craft room. I would just sit in it and drool. Have a blessed week.
Thank you Martha! I almost threw away the jar lids, but I knew there had to be something I could make with them. I would love to have you visit my craft room. I know we would have a great crafty time!

Thank you for your sweet comments Stephanie! I’m so blessed to do my crafting tutorials each week and I’m glad you’re enjoying them!
Oh wow...loving those paint inlays. I'm glad you showed us step by step! I've seen them online, but was pretty hesitant about buying some. They look amazing! I want to give it a shot. Every project you create is so lovely, and you outdo yourself every week! Thank you for your oh-so-easy instructions, Becky. You're a gem!
Thank you so much Valerie! I was amazed at how easy the paint inlays were to use. I too felt a bit hesitant, but started on smaller projects to get the feel for the process. Check out the UA-cam channel Ellen J Goods. Lynn has fabulous projects using the inlays that you’re sure to enjoy!
@@kindashabby Thank you, I will!
Hi Becky! Wow what a fabulous idea to use the lids to make spools! I have several and always wonder what to make with them! I love all of your crafts tonight! Absolutely cute and springy!! 🐇🥰
Hello my friend! The lids were bound for the recycling bin and I wanted to find a way to use them, and thought “giant spool”! In hindsight I would glue the bottom of the can to the top of the jar lid. I’m glad you liked these cute projects and I’ll see you next week!
Everything was so lovely! I love shabby chic and you create such wonderful things in my favorite style. I love your channel and all 💖💖💖of your amazing creations!
Thank you for your kind comments Rachelle! I enjoy sharing my love of all things shabby, and I’m glad you like it too!
Your paint inlay stamp application was the best I’ve seen so far. Several others I’ve watched ended up sort of blotchy. The tray turned out beautiful. I wish I’d invested in more of the IOD stamps from the beginning since they retire them after a while!
Thank you Ginny! I wasn’t sure how the tray would turn out, as I hadn’t used the paint inlays before. But, I started with a small project, took my time to make sure I understood the instructions, and it turned out great! There are a few of the older IOD products that I wish I had purchased. Now, I don’t hesitate when I see one that I want. BTW, there will be a new IOD product release tomorrow and I can’t wait to see what they are offering!
Love, Love, Love all of these, and what a genius idea for the upcycle of the tin cans and candle lids. Those IOD paint inlays are Beautiful! 💜💜💜. I’ll be binge watching all of your beautiful creations!
Thank you Vickie! I knew if I looked at those candle lids long enough I could figure out something useful to do with them. I appreciate you watching some of my older videos!
I love all your DIY's. They are so inspiring. Thanks for sharing, and please keep them coming.
Thank you Shirley! I’m glad you liked these cute projects. I appreciate you watching and I’ll see you next week!
Everything turned out so nice! I especially like the spools because they looked so pretty and would motivate me to actually put my things on spools while getting rid of my old cans. Your pink dish that you keep your paper flowers in is so lovely as well.
Thank you Mel! I really enjoy finding ways to use items that are usually tossed out in the trash. The spools were easy to assemble and turned out cute. I treasure my pink dish, as it was my mother’s. I like having sweet reminders of her. She was an amazing crafter and instilled that love in me too.
@@kindashabby That's wonderful!
I love all of your beautiful projects. I purchase Stamps, Moulds and transfers from My Victorian Heart. They generously treat their patrons to samples of their products. I received the Indigo blue floral, and just thrifted a tray. Since You made it look so easy to apply, I can hardly wait to try it. Your spools are such a great idea. You are such an inspiration.
I’m glad you liked this week’s video Venita! You’re right, Kimberly includes such wonderful little gifts in every order. And her packaging is lovely too! I really enjoyed using the Paint Inlays, and found them easy to work with; I’m sure you will love them!
So many great tips in this video! Thanks for sharing! Love the bunnies and the paint inlays...
Thank you so much! I appreciate you watching; enjoy your weekend!
Absolutely loved every creation! I just re-did my craft/sewing room and I can't wait to make the tin can craft to store my ribbons and trims. I love your channel and your style of crafting. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Susan! I like having cute ways to display my crafting supplies and it’s even better using pieces meant for the recycling bin. Have fun making these for your craft room storage too!
Susan, I am working on mine right now and I am starting to feel more inspired! Enjoy your craft room ⚘💐
Great projects. Love your mind. Even the Ball Jar was the just the right touch. I received some of the rose chintz inlay from a wonderful crafter I follow, (Canterbury cottage), and I can't wait until I use it.
Thank you so much Lynda! Congratulations on winning your paint inlays from Sherry. I adore her channel and her amazing work. I was surprised at how easy the inlays were to use and you’ll love all the pretty things you can create!

So cute! The spools are a great idea!
Thank you Elizabeth! I have quite a few of those candle jar lids and knew I could make something cute with them. Thanks again for watching!
These all turned out fantastic! I love the crackled effect on the bunny block. The distressing on the block is perfect! That ribbon and push pin spool looking thing is SO neat! TfS ❤
Thank you Favi! I love using the crackle stamp and ink pad for instant distressing. I was happy with how my tin cans turned out too. Looking forward to our collaboration in April!

Hi Beth; that’s a great idea for a future video! I love watching craft room storage videos, but it didn’t occur to me to show mine. I’m glad you’re enjoying my little projects and I appreciate you watching!
@@kindashabby I'm sure a tour of your craft room would be helpful to me & others. Been meaning to tell you, your voice is very soothing & I LOVE the way you hold your hands/fingers. You always hold your pinky out (like you're supposed to if drinking tea from a cup LOL) - Very delicate hands. Also very much like a ballerina holds her fingers. : )
Lovely ideas. Easy to make. I think I will make some of the spoiled for some of my long length of lace trim.
Thank you Carolyn! You will enjoy making those spools. Simple, practical and pretty!

hi Bscky I've just been watching a few of your videos and in this one I love the paint inlays, I've never heard of them before and living in the UK we sometimes find it difficult to find thing that our American friends use. Hello Debra, and thank you! I really enjoyed the Paint Inlays and look forward to using them in upcoming projects. Have a great week!
I am so happy I found your channel - love, love, love Shabby Chic! And all of your projects are so beautiful!
I went on IOD's website, but don't see where their products can be ordered. Can you please tell me how to order some of their products? Thank you Becky!!!
Thank you so much Diana! I like many decor styles, but Shabby Chic is my favorite. IOD sells through retailers. You can enter your zip code on the IOD website to find the seller nearest you. I shop online from My Victorian Heart. I know The Purple Painted Lady sells IOD products online too. I appreciate you watching!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🎀
Thank you Maria!
Love, love, love all these projects as I always do. I am wanting to start doing some of the painting projects, etc, but what all is involved in maintaining/cleaning your brushes; from removing the paint, wax, glue’s and other materials these brushes may be used for? I would be very interested in knowing this information. Thank you. 🌸
I always keep water handy to put all my brushes in. Clean everything thing when you’re done with Dawn and cool water. Clean your wax brushes with hot water and dawn.
Me too Cindy!
@@cindybakergambrel136 Thank you and use dawn and hot water for the glue as well. I really appreciate this, now back to watching more of your videos. ♥️
Thank you Melissa; I’m so glad you enjoyed this week’s projects! I rinse my paint and glue brushes then use a makeup brush cleaning mat and a drop of Dawn to completely clean them. Same for wax brushes but they need hot water to dissolve everything. I try to clean as I go while waiting on my painted surfaces to dry. Thanks again for watching and have a great week!
Beautiful as always
I was wondering if you could tell me where you got roses with rhinestone from please
Thank you so much Tracey! I purchased the roses at Hobby Lobby. Lots of patterns and colors too!
@@kindashabby thank you
Becky, I didn't see a reference to the pink rose that you glued to the bow on the bunny board. Where can I get those?
Hello Kat! The pink rose trim came from Hobby Lobby. It’s so pretty and versatile in many different projects.
can the paint inlay be used on fabric?
beautiful, as usual.
Hi Cherry! They can be used on fabric, but I haven’t tried it yet. If you visit the UA-cam channel Ellen J Goods, there you will find that Lynn has done a beautiful upcycled chair project using the Rose Chintz Paint Inlays. I am so impressed with this product and can’t wait to try new things!
@@kindashabby thank you.
Are you glueing the clay on while it’s still wet? Or dry?
Hi Holly! I allow my clay to dry for a bit before gluing it down. It’s not totally dry, so I can get the edges to lie flat. I can also apply a little bit of pressure without denting the surface of the clay. Thank you for your question and have a great week!
Lovely! Did I miss the rose toile?
Hi Jann! I used the small French Script stamp from the Rose Toile collection to make the imprint on the clay bunny. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@kindashabby oops! Thank you
Beautiful
