I crochet a lot! But, crochet can stress me out. But for the ultimate relaxation activity is coloring. It doesn't need to be perfect and there's no deadline. It takes my mind off of stuff I can't fix or control. I have the 250 set of Kalour plus the sets of Macaron and metallic. Love them. I especially like the Creative Haven coloring books.
I also have a couple of chronic illnesses so I love coloring too, but i color mostly on my phone 😊, that’s relaxing for me too. Other things I enjoy and relaxing too me is playing with my dog, reading, writing stories, loom knitting, dancing and just being with my family and trust me there is never a dull moment here there’s 7 of us so ages go from 8-56 😬. But, at times I wouldn’t have it any other way 😅. You’d think I get a lot of exercise with all that being said, but I don’t, but while I’m still mobile and can I guess I better get started😊. Know you all are in my prayers. Praying for more and more strength for you every day.
I'm doing puzzles today. I don't have cronic illness, I do have fibromyalgia. A few years ago I tore both of my Achilles tendons. I have balance issues pretty bad. All I want for Christmas is for Son to be out of the hospital.
I was going to put lighting on my Christmas wish list. One around my neck and one floor lamp, but when I was looking on Amazon, it was on Black Friday sale, so I purchased them! 😬 oops That’s the problem with my husband as well. He just buys what he wants throughout the year, so he can’t think of anything at Christmas. He always says “sock and underwear “ lol
Hi Kayla I’ve drove 3hours to visit my mom and dad who live in a beautiful part of England, it’s her 89 th birthday ,sending you best wishes ❤ Suzi🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Hi kayla, i love Diamant painting but can't do it anymore because i went blind on my left eye and the right doesn't fonction as it should, i like painting in the colour books, thats verry calming, much love ❤❤❤❤
My 22 year old daughter who has a list of stuff going on from Autism, neuro divergent, mood disorders, fibromyalgia, and the list goes one, she LOVES these things called Palm Pals. You can get them online at the Palm Pal website, Hallmark, CVS has them in the Christmas section, and I am sure there are other places as well. Look them up, they are adorable! You have a great list going already! As a chronic pain sufferer I myself loves a good comfy pair of slippers to go with my comfy jammies! I live in my slippers if I am at home! Relaxing, I love to work on jigsaw puzzles! Have a great night! Love from Southern California ❤
Anything comfy to wear! Sweatpants and t shirts in pretty colors, soft comfy socks, etc. Craft kits of a topic the person enjoys (like flower cross stitch or amigurumi animals). I’m working on a blanket and my yarn has so many big yarnbarfs it is frustrating me totally!! Driving me a little nuts. I’ve actually cut the yarn just to get past the yarnbarf. Some i’ve been able to unravel but it takes forever and is destroying the rhythm and joy of my crochet. I’m sharing with you all cuz I know you understand. Thanks. Kayla, i pray for you so very often and extra often when you’re in the hospital. And for Big Daddy and your sons and their wives; your family is so beautiful and supportive. I also live with a chronic illness that impacts much of my body and keeps me home pretty much all the time. I enjoy crocheting and coloring. Thank you for sharing your life with us. God bless your whole family.
Hi my friend yes you and big daddy. I enjoy all of your vedios. I laugh with you both. The love you both show to each other. I am crocheting and knitting and cross stitching now. Take care and remember its not to late to SMILE. I am praying for you both take care see you in your next video. Hugs
This year, actually last night, I told my kids that I have everything I need. What I ‘want’ is for them to help me out with organizing some rooms and help me paint my house in the Spring. No cost to them, just their time…at their convenience. I don’t want them worrying about buying for their kids and something for me. Put it all towards my grandchildren. 🥰
Hi Kayla. You are the one that taught me “not” to stress when crocheting ! Now I just go with my crocheting No stress over what to make what yarn to use what stitch or weaving in ends. I just go with it and not stress. I just enjoy making my crochet things ❤. Thank you for that !
I have chronic pain and several chronic illnesses. I use a by-pap machine with oxygen attached. Last Thursday I had a major surgery on my left foot. I will be non weight bearing for at least one month.
I think we share a love of color! I also sometimes get the urge to put color on paper. If I can’t decide what crochet project to work on, I’ll grab a cotton cake and make a dishcloth. You find so many ways to express your creativity, it’s terrific.
Hello Kayla, ya not only one whose coloring. I've taken a lil break from crocheting and started back into coloring Christmas scenes coloring book. It's a very relaxing therapy.
If someone asked me and money not an issue I would asked for the valor pillow every one is talking about to help with crochet but a crochet book will make me just as happy. Need a new interleaved bible too.
A great gift for us crocheters would be gift cards to craft stores or Walmart or Amazon to buy yarn. I’m crocheting a Christmas afghan for myself. I always give away afghans I make, but this one is for me.
Except Walmart in our area has shut down the yarn to replace it with toy space. Can’t blame them for financial purposes, but it makes us yarn addicts crazy!
Yarn, yes soft pj's, Jigsaw puzzles, heating pad. I have chronic back pain, stage 4 kidney disease and a spastic bladder so I am at home more than I'm out so things to keep me entertained
Kayla, I knit a lot, but sometimes it is not relaxing. I drive myself some times: Just one more row! One more row! But I do find doodling very relaxing, just playing. Love the chatty videos, Kayla! Oh yes, I do pray for you. Love, Janet
Hey Sweet Friend ❤ I bet that you could benefit greatly from one of those circular pillows that has been making it rounds in the fiber arts communities lately. I can't remember what its called exactly but its basically a Boppy pillow that mothers use to help them hold thier babies while doing feedings. However, it is much more customizable than a Boppy. You can choose what colors & fabrics you want it made on. I think it might help you crochet when your not at your desk. 😊 Another thing that might be beneficial to you is one of those really small refrigerators that hold like a six pack of coke cans, but you could use it for you protein drinks & your cold snacks! 🥰. Its so small that it would fit under or beside your desk! 😀 So glad you are doing better and I hope that the upswing keeps rising 🌞☀️ Much love & Warm Hugs 🤗 Megan from Arkansas ❤️
Listening to you while I crochet is relaxing for me, so is diamond painting, playing solitaire online, watching movies & sometimes colouring in. Gifts I've been very thankful for over the years in relation to my illnesses: someone made me a rice bag that runs along my spine & also on my stomach that I can heat up to use in bed when I lie on my side. Also a variety of tea, pretty teacups & teapots, pretty gift bags & cards are helpful for me as I can't go out to the stores, scenic jigsaws & of course vouchers for our local yarn store, Spotlight!! 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
It's 4.5 hours to my daughters family where we had Thanksgiving with them on Saturday which was my dads 109th birthday, he died when he was 69 almost 70! Sunday was my granddaughters 10th birthday. We are now almost home..❤😊🙏🙏🥰❤️
Hi kayla, I think that you are been to hard on yourself!. And need to cut yourself some slack. You have been through such a hard time lately. Be gentle with yourself!. Colour, crochet , do whatever makes you happy. Brings you joy!. Mandy uk 🇬🇧 xxx😊❤
Hi Kayla, thanks for ideas for my own list. Very soft PJ and big comfortable house shoes ❤ sitting cushions and back support items, coffee cup warmer, cute mugs, neck heating pad or support pillow, are a few things and yarn, lol have a great week.
A Bible or Bible on tape, favorite music, favorite candies if allowed, slippers, warm sweater,a beautiful plant that doesn't require alot of care like a snake plant, of course books if they can read, maybe reading glasses. Just a few of my thoughts. Take care
The mermaid is going to be adorable. I like prayers and hugs 🙌🤗❣️paint.😮 watching crochet channels.❤ My favorite is yours never know what you're going to say.😅😅🤣
Kayla, I recommend the use of the pods for laundry. For me, I have a hard time lifting the detergent bottle to pour into that cup. Practical gift I would love!
I was scared for you. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, so I understand what feeling weak is like. It even hurts to colour when bad. People don't understand that being chronically ill can be so boring, lonely, and frustrating as the longer you are ill, you slowly lose everything and you have to adjust the way you do things all the time eg I was an avid reader the books got heavy for my hands so I adjusted and got a kindle, then my eyes got fatigue so I am now listening to books. Also, being chronically ill is so expensive. Such as medications and gadgets. Oops, sorry for the rant. Now, what I want for chrissy is crochet hooks, stitch markers, scissors and yarn needle that doesn't disappear. Lol
Well, I like listening to audio books, especially when I'm walking at the Y. I love coloring on the app, Zen Color. I can do that while I'm watching UA-cam videos! Of course, I enjoy crochet, as long as it's going well. Sometimes it stresses me out. I like spending time with my grandkids. My husband and I chit chat most mornings over a cup of coffee, and I enjoy that. I'll be praying for you, Kayla. ❤🙏
When I was a child, my grandmother had a huge chenille bath robe. My sister and I would fight over whose turn it was to wear it when we spent the night. Bundling up in that robe gave me such comfort. What I would give to have an old fashioned chenille robe to bundle up in now! Chronic pain is no joke and rare conditions are really scary. I know being wrapped up in my grandmother’s robe would make me feel better. I would love some different flavored hot chocolates or coffee or tea. Crochet is my favorite for relaxing. I also like to read. That puts me in someone else’s world for a while. Praying for you still! Love you, Kayla!
When I was a girl I got a chenille bsth robe every year for Christmas. I loved them! Chenille must have been a thing in those days. II had a chenille bedspread, too.
Hi Kayla❤, I am usually quiet but I have been following and watching you and your story for a year now and I just wanted to let you know I love you dearly! I was so afraid for your arm when you were in the hospital, so afraid. I have been through a lot in my life and can emphasize with others easily. I could almost feel your fear. I guess what I am trying to tell you is, is that there are probably more people like me, the silent followers who root for you and pray for you. You are very loved by us, always remember that❤🤗❤️. I am a colorist too and have improved my skills a lot last year. I really enjoy this hobby😊. I am glad you like to color also! Sending you lots of hugs and love from WA State🤗❤️, Tamara
What about an emergency alert bracket thats says do not check your sugar in your hands or arms. Just in case you couldn't talk to them to tell them. And I would be having my doctors put it all over my files
Other than crochet I enjoy diamond painting and putting puzzles together. Once in a great while I color. I pray that you feel better soon. Bless you and Big Daddy.
So glad to see you tonight! Last spring while my husband was in rehab for a stroke, you got me coloring. Now I color and crochet. So happy to see you do a coloring video again!
Hi Kayla, I am really liking these last two videos where we just sit and visit. I have been doing some color-by-number, online. It's enjoyable and no thinking involved...LOL. I'm like you. If it's too intricate, I'm passing on it. I colored with you through this whole video. I used to be an avid reader, but I've only read one book since my mother passed away five years ago. I'm sorry, but I don't have any ideas for what chronically ill people would like for Christmas. I watched your video yesterday on my TV, so I wasn't able to comment. I'm so glad you found Paige. Years ago, my mother switched from stockings to bags as well. For women, a few ideas might be a tube of chapstick, or those individual packages of Kleenex for a purse or to keep in the car. For the men, try those little tree car air fresheners in the scent "Black Ice." It smells like a really nice men's cologne. I get them at Walmart for a dollar. Gosh, this comment is lengthy. I'm done now. Take good care.
Thankfully I don’t have a chronic illness, but my mother did and she enjoyed reading books. Another idea might be a subscription to a magazine if books aren’t your thing.
I'm working on a Christmas card for my little grandsons. I found some buttons that were of characters they had dressed up as. So I took some pics today and now I need to edit for the best one to print for a card.
Was lovely to hang out together today. I enjoy diamond painting and cross stitch but my one true love and obsession is crochet. I was making an Impkin with you today 💛
I asked for a lockbox a new watch and a multi container for all my vitamins. Not too much. I'm off all this week till friday. So happy to see you. Jean
I'm so glad to see you coloring. I love how you just kind of go with the flow in picking your colors. I overthing which I'm trying to not do too much. So nice chatting with you! 🥰 And I color and crochet both. I love seeing you do both.
Oh Kayla. No no no dont asjk for a heating pad. That ain’t fun. Ask for yarn. Coloring books. Good smelling lotion. Lotion always makes me feel good. Yarn makes me feel amazing LOL
I am working on chair arm covers. Two sided, one side is made of hubby’s old shirt sleeves. Other side is old jean legs. Then on the Jean side I am going to make flowers out of a lighter jean hue and appliqué them on, might even do something on the buffalo plaid shirt sleeve side also. I would like to ask for visiting time with my daughter. She home schools and they have a mini farm so she is so busy.
A caddy that fits to your walker, then you could use it to carry small items. A bathtub transfer bench so you can sit in the shower. If you have a tablet ( android or apple) jigsaw puzzle apps are fun to work on. You can make them as hard or easy as you want.
Hey Miss Kayla we’re praying for the both of you. One day at a time. I see your retaining fluid again I hope the doctor visits are helpful with that. This mermaid is pretty cute but look at her tummy I never seen a mermaid without a perfect figure right. May she has lil mermaids on the way lol. ❤❤❤❤❤. I’m grateful for your helping hands when they can come in your home Stay safe
😊 something I bought to help with my circulation is a vibration plate. I was suffering with knee pain and swelling. It’s a great investment. No knee pain and swelling has gone down. I have ankles again
Hi Kayla, having lung problems a severe allergies, back problems, etc. I don’t move around very much, so anything that helps me do things that saves energy, comfy clothes, foods that I can eat. And lots of nuts so my husband can put out on the porch railing so i can see the bluejays up close.😺🙏❤️💜🙏💙🙏❤️🙏💜🙏💙🙏 i knit when things are hard.
How about some kind of table you can put on your lap if you want to color in bed or in a chair? I would want some fancy straws for my protein drinks and a light weight glass with a handle to drink out of. I would want a couple pretty sweaters or wraps for relaxing. Your hair is long, how about a jeweled headband or barrettes. Easy to slip into shoes or slippers for around the house. I am looking for to my Where’s Waldo coloring book. I don’t feel like I have the best patience or skill for finishing pictures. LOL
A heating pad absolutely helps my gastroparesis!!! I go through at least one a year…..I use them so much. 😣 They just quit working…I have a heating pad on my bed and on my chair in the living room. Most times, lying down makes me nauseous.
I LOVE to color!!! One thing that might be helpful for chronically ill sufferers is a grabber tool. I use one because of my crappy knees and it's a life saver. Love you!!🩷
Good evening Kayla. Playing catch up. I’ve been busy this past week. I cooked the Turkey for our thanksgiving dinner and I also made the Spanish rice with green pigeon beans ham and salchichón. A toss salad. My granddaughters made green bean casserole, Mac and cheese, Devil eggs. My daughter made Coquito. It’s like eggnog but with liquor in it.
Hi Hun, I'm watching u on the 29 th and yes I have a bunch of chronic illnesses along with Gastroparesis and yes a soup cup I think is an amazing idea. I eat a lot of soup most days heck I eat soup at least 3 days a week because of my stomach. Oh yah they sell the soup cups at Dollar Tree . Well just want to say have a wonderful day hun
I took up coloring again after watching you! I tried it when they first came out a few years back and it seemed like the pictures were all so detailed with patterns on everything. I just couldn't get into it then. Now I've got some cute little animal books. And of course I have new pencils & a case (so I've got $ invested--so I better enjoy it, right?!) I wrassled an electric blanket onto my bed this afternoon. Started with washing everything first, even the mattress pad. Getting the cords around to plug in beyond the headboard is a job! I've got 3 "trial" diamond paintings to see if I like it from temu. They've been sitting awhile... Hope tomorrow becomes better for you.
I turn on you tube video with fireplace and Christmas music. It is joyful 🎄💕
I've always loved to color

Have you seen Warmies? They are the cutest animals that you put in microwave then hold them. They come in all sizes.
Hi my friend yes you and big daddy. I enjoy all of your vedios. I laugh with you both. The love you both show to each other. I am crocheting and knitting and cross stitching now. Take care and remember its not to late to SMILE. I am praying for you both take care see you in your next video. Hugs

Listening to music from my younger years is relaxing for me. I think it's the nostalgia. 😊
I have a couple of protein drinks every day. And for a soup mug, use an insulated mug so you can have a straw and it will stay warm!
Hope you’re having a great evening too!!! My relaxing is sitting in my recliner and listening to a book.❤ if I can’t crochet or knit.❤
Hi Kayla. Those are pretty pastel colors. Glad you're relaxing/enjoying your coloring.
Take care

I just lobe UA-cam. I just watched the old version of Cinderella. It was a favorite of my childhood
Your mermaid 🧜♂️ will be very beautiful ❤❤❤
Viasocks are on the expensive side, but are worth the money. They stretch and don't cut off the circulation. They are good for feet with neuropathy.
Gift ideas, I found a big soft heating pad is comforting & those squishmallows.
Thank you Kayla love hugs 💜 Prayers love ya ❤️ bye

I'm done now. Take good care.
I cross stitch to relax. I could do it for hours especially if I’m working on a project that i really like. 💕
The mermaid is going to be beautiful, Prayers for you and all that are watching 🙏🙏
Soft comfy underwear is always a great idea (mine are Culprit) softest I have ever had. They don't cut the upper legs

Was lovely to hang out together today. I enjoy diamond painting and cross stitch but my one true love and obsession is crochet. I was making an Impkin with you today 💛

With the nerve damage in my hands and arms, I can't use colored pencils, it's too hard for me so I bought some crayons 😊😊

A caddy that fits to your walker, then you could use it to carry small items. A bathtub transfer bench so you can sit in the shower.
If you have a tablet ( android or apple) jigsaw puzzle apps are fun to work on. You can make them as hard or easy as you want.
Yes, I remember that terrible fear on that day. and Yes, Prayer was really needed and we were surely praying. Much love to you tonight Kayla.
Hi Mama Kayla good day to you God bless you 🙏
Hey Miss Kayla we’re praying for the both of you.
LOL
I would like an offer of service. (I have a leaky faucet & a mirror to hang.)A tote with lots of pockets would be handy for most people.
A heating pad absolutely helps my gastroparesis!!! I go through at least one a year…..I use them so much. 😣 They just quit working…I have a heating pad on my bed and on my chair in the living room. Most times, lying down makes me nauseous.
I AM WORKING ON KNITTING ON MY LOOM, AND MY WORD PUZZELS.
Hi Miss Kayla Big Daddy and everyone ❤ hope you're having a better day
Awk, Kayla!!! Tell us what the exciting news!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love soup mugs. I have hand issues and they come in handy.
I AM SO GLAD YOU ARE DOING BETTER, AND COLORING
Hi Hun, I'm watching u on the 29 th and yes I have a bunch of chronic illnesses along with Gastroparesis and yes a soup cup I think is an amazing idea. My xmas list would be filled with colouring books, brush markers, candles, sketch books or journals, anything grinch or baby yoda
Mb here😊
Yay crafting 🎉
