    Great video, I want a crf110 but I do have a crf125 I bought used and it’s been a great play around bike. Been trying to learn to wheelie. Only issue with mine is it was a hack job which is why I got a great deal on it.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks man! Oh yeah, those CRF125s are fun bikes to play around on too but if you're playing around with other friends on pitbikes then it can take away some of the fun. It's definitely better for learning how to clutch wheelies up so you've got that down pat in the future for when and if you get something larger. You should keep your eyes open for somebody wanting to move their kid up to a 125 from a 110 and see if you can do some swapping since you're really wanting a 110 and I don't blame you, there's something about the smaller bikes that bump the fun factor up a bit.

    I bought a new 2021 crf110 partly for the aftermarket support, im also a smaller guy so these 110s fit me well. You can easily build these into serious pit bikes!

    • @HondaProKevin

      Heck yeah, always cool to hear from current owners. It's insane at how large the aftermarket support is for this thing and mainly catered towards adults and not the kids that these bikes were originally intended for which is hilarious! • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  2 роки тому

      I think it'd be perfect for that and the auto clutch will make life easy on you. Depending on how long your legs are you may want to put a taller / wider handlebar setup on it but that's an easy adjustment and something you may not need to do, it'll all boil down to personal preference there.

    Can u make a vid of Trx 700xx? a bit forgotten beast

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  2 роки тому

      Yessir, forgotten indeed! I was selling Hondas when they first released the TRX700XX and they were a flop. I think its price point really hurt it and the fact that it was their most expensive sport quad to ever release and it just so happened to roll out right as the economy tanked. 2008-2010 was a hard time for us dealers, seeing so many dealers in the SE close their doors was a real eye opener to just how bad it was. On the upside though, lackluster sales and the economy tanking led to Honda throwing massive rebates on them and we were able to sell our last shipments for $3,999. The crazy part is, they were still pretty slow movers at that price. If I weren't in fear of us closing our doors back then, I wish I could've snatched a couple up at that price and same story for the half price 2008 CBR1000RR rebates to where we could sell them for $6,999. The deals that could be had back then were crazy with all of the aggressive incentives from Honda to actually turn units.
      Well, I rambled on too much lol! Sorry about that. Long story short, I'd love to do a nice deep dive on one of them if I could stumble across a pristine example. Sadly, finding one of them in good shape with how old they are now is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Hopefully I'll stumble across one though as I'd like to do some videos on units from "back in the day" so-to-say.

      The 110f would be perfect for your sons for many years to come, the engines are literally bombproof if you look after them well. It will last you years and hold its value better than most offroad bikes!
      if you can afford it and can get hold of one I would strongly recommend it. your sons will make memories with that little ripper that will last a lifetime. if your boys look after it well they could teach their own children to ride on it one day....no exaggeration, they really are that good.👍🏼

      If you're wanting to ride off-road, it'll be too small. However, if you're wanting a pit bike to mess around on - it'll handle you no problem at all. For your height though and if you're wanting to ride it like a "normal" dirt bike, I would lean towards the CRF125FB or CRF250F.

    My moped (underbone in southeast asia) has the same engine as that and has a fuel economy of around 103mpg (carburator).
    Those are the same engine as the honda wave 110 sold here in 🇵🇭. Currently, both are available in carburator (wave 110 alpha and wave 110/110r, r=front disc brake) and fuel injection which they claim to have 156 mpg (wave rsx, replaced the wave 110 and 110r).
    The honda wave is like a more modern version of honda cub.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  Рік тому

      Technically, the right size for him / her would be between the CRF125F or CRF125FB. However, a lot of people will buy a size down when they're not confident in the skill level of the kid to learn how to use a clutch while also having to learn everything else. Whereas with the 110, it's a lot easier to get the fundamentals down and then move up to a larger bike to where all they have to do is get the clutch down and their good to go. That's the only way I would recommend a 110 for someone of that size, unless they're wanting a "pit bike" to play with and if that's the case, the 110 is without a doubt the best option as anyone of any size, including myself at 6'2 and almost 40 years old can have a blast on too lol!
      Long story short, it depends on a LOT of other factors but hope that helps bud ;)

      Heck yeah, congrats on snatching one up so quickly and especially right before Christmas too as these small bikes are slim pickings! Make sure to have that video rolling when you surprise him, I still look back at mine from surprising my little guy years ago with a TRX90X on Christmas morning and there's nothing better than seeing them so excited! You did good on pricing too, a lot of places are pulling over $4,000 out the door on them right now.
      Be careful on those upgrades, trust me... it's super easy to get carried away lol but that's part of the fun! They come factory with NGK so you're all set there and you won't need to worry about changing its temp unless you start going wild with the engine upgrades. Personally, I always used the standard Honda GN4 10W30 and I beat the piss out of my CRF110F from 2013 until this year when I sold it and it never gave me any issues and still looked good when I'd swap it out. Oil changes are cheap insurance on these things so don't be afraid to swap it out often if you're really beating on it but Honda technically doesn't recommend you do it until 100 miles / 20 hours for the first service and then every 600 miles / 100 hours after that.
      No problem at all bud, thank you for the kind words and I hope you and your family have a great Christmas. We know your boy is going to have a great one with a new CRF under the tree lol ;)

      You've got a valid point, it's supposed to be about simplicity on these guys!

      lol! I've never let that stop me and neither should you, you might be surprised at how much fun you can have on a kid's bike.
      But in all seriousness, I know these bikes aren't for everyone so I'm just giving you a hard time bud ;)

    A 110r would be cool. Just come from the factory with upgraded suspension for adults
