This is my family. Kaye Kilburn who spoke in the documentary is my dad's older brother. Golden's parents that were shown are my great grandparents.

I miss Utah. I attended Weber State 90-93. Returned to Salt Lake in 95 until leaving once more in 2013. Uintah was where I got my first speeding ticket blazing down hwy 89. I remember the courtroom was the police department, fire department, city hall all rolled up in one. Every tree leaned permanently to the west as a result of the forceful wind screaming out of Weber canyon. Utah has some of the most interesting, and to me, heartfelt history. Great little Doc. Thank you.

Excellent. Now learned, never forgotten. I wish my kids were interested in this kind of stuff. Our countries history is fading even though it’s abundant and fascinating. Thanks to folks like you I will enjoy all the docs I can get my eyes on until my eyes give out.

Interesting story! I pass by the "U" letter all the time on the way to Salt Lake City and now know the story behind it and that it doesn't just stand for the community of Uintah, it stands for a lot more!

I have a greater understanding of who I am and who my father and grandfather were having viewed this documentary. I can only imagine my Great grandmother Kilburn, whom my father adored. I have tears knowing and the agriculture I saw throughout Croatia and Bosnia in 1995-1996 was a direct result of my Great uncle time in the former Yugoslavia. Golden gifted my grandfather Parley his GI Bill. It all makes perfect sense. I feel more complete today.

I'm a historian of Logan and Cache Valley Utah. I couldn't help but notice that the opening photograph was of Logan. It was taken from the perspective of the rooftop of the old Edwards Furniture building which I have been on 3 or 4 times to take images of the same angle. I put the image of Logan that this film starts out with in my book, Logan Reflections: Photographs Then, Now And In Between. So my question is, was this image a mistake in the film or perhaps I'm missing something? I do though appreciate the documentaries that share Utah history and the effort involved. I too have made documentary films dealing with the history and construction of the Logan temple. So I appreciate what you have done.

Thanks for watching Darrin! You are correct, the opening photograph is of Logan. Golden Kilburn lived in Logan and worked at Utah State after his experience in Uintah. We decided to open the film in Logan with the shot of downtown and him washing his car to foreshadow the end of the film when we talk about Kilburn's death.

Great story of a familiar landmark. I know/knew several people in the video through my son and his wife’s family in Uintah.

Sounds like a made up story to me. Why would these kids even go to school if they only wanted to cause trouble like this? This is back in the day when it wasn't a big deal if you didn't go to school and instead just worked on the farm.
