The corrosion looks a lot like very fine dust mixed cement colour and emulsion. The Thomson shows surprisingly very little rust pitting; it has never been attacked by iron oxide!!
You are not a gunsmith or a toolmaker.
Total fake
Thank you. So fake. The magazine main still has tension. No pitting on the metal
hes a foolmaker
Amazing how that wooden stock rusted just as evenly as the rest of the gun. Very real, much legitimate. 🙄
not saying this is legit or not but they can rust up like that if they're in a wall for a number of years
@@justsomeguy9700 literally every video they post has the same level of “rust” and dirt on every piece. It’s all fake.
@@justsomeguy9700wood does not become rusted if it’s left in a wall sir
Wood does not rust
It’s not rust my man just ate a shit load of Cheetos before hand and he got all over the gun 100% legitimate
What makes it for me are the perfectly blued screws in the wood. Like brand new blued.
That’s because this isn’t a real restoration video. He took a perfectly good firearm and let it sit underwater for a month and now he’s claiming that he’s restoring it.
@@Penn.Dragon I understand that. Hence the sarcastic post and description of perfectly blued screws residing in the furniture.
this is hard to believe its real - everything comes free easily and barrel had a plug to stop its rusting, in my experience of rust you will find screws do not simply unscrew!
The wood for some reason is rusted. Didn't know wood rusted, I know it dries up, cracks, swells up due to absorbing water and such but wood rusting? The first few seconds of the vid gave it away.
How long does it take, and what do you do to phony up this kind of distress on a perfectly good weapon, before faking the restoration?
And there’s 564K subscribers believing this BS . 🙄
@@nickb1690 564k subscribers, who can't tell they are being played, instead subscribe and enrich the bank account of a person who sprays crap all over a perfect gun and then rubs it off. I would like to see a genuine restoration out of this channel, but I suspect it would be devastating to his bottom line
@@brentdallyn8459thats the trouble though, because its so popular, even obvious fakery gets watched. People huh 😮
Remarkable that that fabric wrapped on the grip survived too… and no corrosion or pitting… almost as if it’s faked…
Good so beutefull
100% covered in rust, but 0% pitting?? This is a deactivated barrel that has been revelded? there is a long revelded cut in it, type German deact?
That’s because it was chemically rusted. Not naturally throughout time.
Fraud 😡
Damn that's some heavy duty wood rust.😂😂😂😂
Amazing Work
Nice God given talent.Cheaper than buying brand new and more satisfying
It was brand new then he aged it, renwed it, aged it again and renewed again and again😂
I am 71 and I have wanted one of those since I was 12. Damn I am jealous.
You might shoot your eye out!
@@mikejohn0088 A Texan, no likely mate.
You need to "age" them better next time. We can tell you done this rusting to this one
The Thompson, a piece of history. Lots of people, myself included, would be proud to own it... And by the way, beautiful work!
How does wood rust?
In wood rust is referred to as rot.
thank you😊❤
Would be easier to clean up if you didn’t chemically rust it before the video. No way did this rust naturally. Entertaining, but a complete load of manure.
The Thompson turned out amazingly!
I doubt it would shoot but it’ll make a great display piece. Sgt. Saunders would be proud!👍🏻
Is anyone curious how this guy seems to have an endless supply of 'rusted' weapons?
Fake rust
That Tommygun came out fantastic!
Agreed, the value is altered, however the stock they built was great. Also the work was not to extreme. The dirt on original Tommy guns is also extremely expensive.
Does this rust come out of a can spay ? Beause even the woods the same colour and rusty.😂
Again the rusty wood and cloth. I truly did not know wood and cloth rusted. I learned some thing today. Is the laborious work to fabricate the forearm really necessary? Replacements are easily available at gun shows or online. Years ago a gun shop had a bunch of Thompsons. They sold them for $80, each. Several of us bought them. I sold mine when I went in the army. Most of the guys,I guess, probably still have them. They were war issue Thompsons. Ancient history from a simpler time.
So he fabricates a new forward grip without taking any measurements? That is some kinda skill!
That Thompson..........................wow!
Started with American smg, ended with polish smg. Lol
Beware, looks fake
Where do you get this magic “rust” that doesn’t cause pitting? It’s almost like everything is fake.
Just some good ole clay
It’s all fake.
Robota koronkowa . Brawo . Pozdrowienia .
Miraculous how only the top of the screws were rusted
Unbelievable.
Who else only clicked to look at the comments about how "staged" these videos are or aren't? ...not disappointed
Makes me want a cry seeing this looking like this.....
Those are some suspiciously crisp edges on the different parts 🤔
Damn! Now I see why these were so expensive to build!
Fake!
Très bel objet bravo
And a totally fake restoration
nothing says professional like vice grips
Excelente
Another beautiful restoration 😊😊
Kind of wondering.... How do you have that many subscribers and so few likes?
noticed on a lot of your gun restorals you never cleaned or check the rifling or the barrel.
Great to see these restorations. The US is very critical of most cleaning or doctoring a antique weapons condition. The use of stain and sand paper on the Thompson Stock was sad... usd 100 in value lost = UA-cam will cover... I deal with this with Civil War Muskets. The best approach with valuable stocks is a scrapper oil and alcohol and steaming. Those stock's are worth hundreds however once sanded the loose a lot of value.
I agree with the metal work however the stock cleaning was to aggressive.
You all should clean a 1808 Potsdam Musket- plentiful and always sort of rusty. However, they clean up beautifully with the brass parts.
In total good work and cool content, another antique will survive.
Nice restoration and nice video edit
A Master Craftsman at work - the right tools & the right knowledge. Great photography & editing.
The right tools???. He is using pliers to loosen a nut!!!
I need some of his spray can sh!t on my farm what a load of rubbish 😂
the wood was still hard
❤
I wanna know where this was found, looks like it was lost in a jungle or some such
Looks like it was dipped or painted with Georgie red clay, like the kind you see in raw open ground construction sites down here. 🤔 🧐
берут нормальное оружие засрут его а потом колотят понты типо реставрируем его
Не, там в начале одно оружие, а потом с другим серийником. Не раз ловили на таком.
Very nice restoration.
Il est aux usa ...tu m'étonnes là bas ils ont des armes Comme nous on peux trouver des jouets pour enfants en vitrine ...ou des livres chez un Libraire ...
Nice ❤
No way in hell this is legit.
Rust? On wood?
Funny how all the items they "restore" start out the same "rust" colour ! Let alone aquire sooo many "projects" 😅
Vice grips to take the cuts compensator off?!!!
I had no idea wood can rust too 🤣 now that's what i call bullshit
i dont care about videos but where do you get these vintage rifles
Would be nice if he showed the markings and dates
Where do they get all of their old guns from
I did not notice any rust pitting, something that rust would have a lot of pitting actually making some of the parts -unusable specially if it truly had that extent of rust, but then again we are not looking at real rust here now are we, all the metal parts where in remarkably good condition,
Idk what typa drugs I’m on… but last I checked, wood isn’t supposed to rust.
GUUUUMP! WHY DID YOU PUT THAT WEAPON TOGETHER SO QUICKLY?
great job, my favorite Tomi Gan, it’s a pity his drum is not round, it’s so great. 👏👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊😊😍😍😍😍
I like your work 😱😊👌
The Stengun is well passed its sell by date!!
Why did you get that perfectly good rifle all dusty and dirty then act like it was old
Why would people think this id fake it clearly isn't ya can see rust ect
Sorry to see that sten look like that! Actually, built one from a parts kit and a barrel blank, many ,many, years ago!
Why don't you test fire any of the guns you "restore"? It's not truly restored unless it can be fired, otherwise it's just a big paperweight and not useful at all.
Why no testing on the range of the Thompson and the later?
Now that’s what you call a restoration - not like some of the shams/cons that are posted on UA-cam daily!
A word of caution using salt as the electrolyte- it can (will) produce chlorine gas during the process. It is far safer to use something like Oxi-Clean- same results, but no chlorine.
Cold bluing is made for touch ups not the whole gun.
This was a COD Waw nazi zombies OG gun my favorite wall buy
Fake as hell
Outstanding work
So did the Thompson Fire?
I hope you're not actually putting real guns in salt water bins
looks like a deactivated original gun
Not Evan the same weapon wtf
Where do you acquire these guns?
YOU CAN ORDER A BRAND NEW, FOREGRIP, FROM AUTO ORDINANCE ?
where do all these rusted machine gun come from?
Yeah I don't believe for one second that someone left a tommy gun laying around in a damp basement for 70 years.
Fake af.
FAKE Video. Either rusted on purpose for the video or it's painted. Wooden stocks don't rust. The rust is also just surface. No pitting. Not only fake but a bad fake.
odd looking Tommy gun
Was the Thompson serviceable? I didn't see any comments.
Looks like it was converted into rust just to make a vid
This guy shoots first and draws the target after 😂 swindler !…
I reckon that was used in a murder as the grips are wrapped.
Ok Columbo. LOL
What’s the length from the barrel to the butt?
Please post the story behind these guns that you refurbished. How did it come into your possession and what caused it to get into this condition?
They wont answer you because this is all fake.
Faked 😠
What is @@samuelfellows6923
That’s NOta Thompson German MG34 belt fed
Amazing😮
Calling Bull$hit. He weathered the gun to look like that. Thumbs down for you losah
If the weapon was put up in oil soaked rags, would it age better? Honest, I don't know and am asking for your opinion. On Kinsler Brothers channel they find weapons or are given them to restore. They look a LOT different than the ones shown here, but there have been a LOT more wars fought on and around the European continent than on American soil.
This dude right here ! Full PPE and keeps his fingers away from blades, now thats an intelligent dude !
My God even the cloth patches like it came out of a post apocalyptic game 😂😂😂 you're trying way too hard. Also why is the wood rusty? You could at least TRY to make it look like you're doing a restoration
