A few points: Man, your studio is clean. Mine looks like a bomb went off -and that's when it's clean!
Your comment on "living normally": We're artists. People know it, people expect it, and we know for certain that the only way to really improve and explore the feelings we put into what we do is to become obsessed, and shut "normal life" out. Everything that is done with heart really takes all of one's heart for it to be real. Look at all the people who could be considered ascetics for their art. They were amazing at what they did largely because nothing else got in the way. Sure, we have to work normal jobs in order to afford our obsession, but if you're anything like me, the whole time I am away from my studio, I am stirring and chewing on those projects in my mind.
I really look forward to seeing more of your work!

i like that you are always moving on in your approach to work , expression an technics, - it confirm me in doing that too.. - about some says, that i got to groups of painting, - a group of painting, that people likes, and another group of paintings, that i must do, to get into the next good painting... the must do paintings, is to me the experi ments, - these are the most demanding and satisfying paintings / studies

OMG and shut the front door you’re so talented I can’t even .. that painting is sooooo beautiful, dark, emotional, feels like you were painting me that day or how I’m feeling these days .. Im wanting to say something more intelligent here but the painting in haunting me, I wish I could paint like that

Can I just congratulate you for being such a cool inspiration and realistic artist. And I mean realistic in the way that you talk to your audience coherently without sounding like you are talking to children, taking into consideration that some may actually be in the same career path. It's very refreshing to see someone on youtube not over complicate and analyse their work but keeping a level of professionalism with a touch of your colourful personality

I absolutely love your very cerebral and analytical descriptive. As you walk us threw your process, it's like I'm learning and watching exactly what your teaching. Your the best teacher I have ever known in my life. And I just started to watch your channel, this beginning the very first.
My brain won't let me create, unless it's coming from a understanding of why it's going to work. I try so hard to just let go and see what happens, but my process needs foundation. And like you, I just don't want there to be a ceiling that hit. I always want to be pushing my self, to get better at everything I do.
My problem is, I love to be very creative on so many different levels, I find it hard to focus and finish. I will get my idea, I will map it on my canvas, I will start building up my shapes and then I let dry and see something that I don't like, and I will redo the whole thing. Mean while I have 65lbs painting that I've done a million times.
I don't know who to critic my own work? Because I'm not very good yet. My high school teacher wanted me to go to Art School, I said I don't need to art school, I am an artist says 18yr old me. LoL the arrogance. I followed my first love hairdressing for 24 yrs. and have be on disability for two, trying to let my body to heal. Now I'm free to do what I want any old time. Instead I find my self buying art supplies and canvases. The blank canvas use to make me feel so excited, now it scares me.
Haha, life story. Sorry about that ramble. I will be studying your work for a type technical upgrade. I. Going to try and do a different version but use your painting as reference. Is that okay?

That's just everything to hear another say the statement "you dont feel like your living up to your own potential," when not creating or just working a normal life. sometimes just doing normal life seems okay to most, but we do feel like a sense of loss or nonfulfillment when the time slips by. and it does, when life is just happening. They say never wait on the "perfect time" to create, and they are right as...it may not come. you have to make time and its not easy. Even if one hour a day or every other one- it adds up. Love the new vids!!!

Amazing art. like how you talked about a lot of things but always brought it back to the painting it self. And thanks for stating you use pencil lines. some people see these and think art's magically get proportions and composition without any visible effort.

As always, it was a lovely chat and the end came before I was ready for it to. I loved the painting very much!
Some Q&A questions: 1. What was the hardest step for you in the art field?
    2. Do you ever get moods that aren't quite burn outs but also aren't unmotivated moods? It's more like a...bleh.
    3. In your opinion, what are the top three biggest pitfalls that artists fall into?
    4. What are your thoughts on paying via exposure?
    5. Which medium was more difficult for you?
    6. Best anatomy sources?
I think that's all that I will swamp you with for now....this time at least ;)

In response to your request that we suggest topics my proposal is to talk about when an artist is in creative crisis, when feels that has no future or has no opportunities or is not good enough.
That kind of things and the tools to overcome them.
I think everyone, to a greater or lesser extent, has gone through periods of low energy and little self-confidence.

Hi Cynthia, I am glad you are going to do a Q&A section, there's something that really annoys me...Clients with the "details Syndrome", people that are happy just when you over render every single cm of the piece, regardless the depth of the planes, distances between objects, how the atmosphere affect colours, values and so on.... it is really frustrating, I try politely to make people understand that certain things work an others just do not, but at the end they are paying, have you ever encountered this issue? Keep up with the channel, it is absolutely inspiring! Thanks for your work :)

Q&A: regarding to your palette, why do you stack paint of the same color? do you always start with new paint every paint season or sometimes do you break "dry film" of the last one? do you pull down dry ones to have more room for fresh paint?
