The Carnival Legend was our first cruise back in 2004. We’ve been on many cruises since (RC, NCL, MSC) and I seem to have forgotten how truly beautiful the Legend is. Thank you for posting!

Thanks for the review. My wife and I had our honeymoon on board the Legend back in 2009. It seems like she’s had some upgrades since then. I don’t believe the water park even existed back then. We’re taking another cruise on her in June of 2023 with our daughter. She also didn’t exist yet on our honeymoon.

CHOCOLATE BUFFET!!!! did you attend any of the teas? Thank you for showing the inside of the Game room. First tour I've seen do this. I read they have board games, but don't see any? Maybe put away for covid? No toppings for the icecream? What about cones? Going to have to sneak some sprinkles in my bag for the kids. LOL We are sailing last week of June. We are so excited!

Find a better ship. I prefer the Mardi Gras. It’s beautiful and so much entertainment. It leaves out of Port Caneveral. So worth the xtra travel. Been on it 3 times already and should have gone on that instead of the trip I took on the Legend last week.
You are correct a newer ship is going to have more to offer that is why they build new ones. But these older ships cost way less too. It's fun to try different ones. Mardi gras is on my list. Heading on Magic in fall and cheap trip back on legend. Just can't beat the price to get to the Bahamas.

I hope you chose a better ship. The Legend is definitely the last on my list of ships from the Carnival fleet. I returned on the 27th of February 2022 and can’t wait for Carnival to send the email to me requesting my review of said sailing. I’m giving it a 2 out of 10.....Try the Mardi Gras for your next sailing, it won’t disappoint.

The ship looked practically empty.

Question - this was a recent cruise on the Legend and I think I spotted Matre'D Ken Byrne in the MDR? Was it him? I have cruised with him many times before. He sings and does a lot of Sinatra tunes. Not completely. One pool is not covered at all but the other one can be covered if they close it. Usually will cover if in cold weather because they have deck parties out there. 👍👍
On the ship right now after 7 days on water. I never get sick... but be sure to take bonine along it works miracles. You will love cruising if never did it before. Wait until you see these videos coming up this month and next. Can't wait to share👍👍😁😁🛳🍹
Thank you for this video. We're actually taking this ship from Baltimore to Bermuda in a couple of months. Do you know if the ship closes its doors at night while docked in Bermuda? We're concerned that if we take a late excursion we won't be able to get back on the ship.
That's a very good question. I wouldn't think so. But never took cruise to Bermuda. Been there many times just not on a ship. You will love Bermuda for sure. Sorry couldn't help you on this one. 😁😁🛳🛳
@2hokies, I’m going to same place in June. We were told the ship leaves the port at 8. That the docking fees are really expensive for the boat to sit there overnight. Then it redocks in the morning. Hope that was helpful!

Thanks it was driving me nuts that i didnt know. No smoking on your own balcony ? Even if I have an astray id never throw my butts in the water you know?
No problem. My wife smoked a few year ago and always had to check out smoking areas. There is no smoking on balconies. Fire is the biggest danger on ships because of cigarettes blowing back on if tossed over. Casino is also non smoking now on legend i noticed just this past cruise. You will find plenty of tables smoking areas on lido deck. You will have a fantastic time. I'll be back on legend in May. Can't wait. ♥️♥️😎😎👍👍

You use to be able to just take your birth certificate and think that still works. It's just more of a hassle in my opinion. You actually can check in with passport. I would check with your cruise line. Before i had a passport we took birth certificates. We just use passports now and would suggest it.👍👍

We just came back from a cruise on the Legend and will never go on that ship again. Food was awful and the employees lack personality. This ship needs a complete DO OVER! They also lack entertainment, their live stage productions are only a half hour long and revolved around music. There was the British, 80’s & Rock Legends that they performed 1 category of per night.
Hmmm. The ship is an older ship but could use some updating but very clean and staff amazing. We go with other experienced cruisers and there was no complaints on food. You can always find something. The pizza bar and sushi are great. Guys burgers awesome. I have been on many ships and at dinner time our food was always hot and delicious. If we didn't like something could order something else. I’m on this ship rn, I want off I feel poor. Ship needs major updating this is a very miserable cruise royal Caribbean smacks carnival in the luxury department
DISGUSTING !!! Please watch the video carefully, Serving fries. At the Burger Joint, I noticed the servers of food on the ship used their hands to serve or plonk the food rather, to guests. Terrible and classless. They both wore clear gloves, but why not use utensils to serve, disgusting using hands to serve french fries and other food. Carnival need to sort this out. Especially with covid around, this is TERRIBLE, BAD !!!!!!
You are totally wrong here. You better not eat in any of the dining rooms on a cruise ship they are wearing no gloves to make your food pretty. 😁 Have you ever Been to a 5 star restaurant or watched a top chef. They are touching your food with no gloves no hair coverings to make it look beautiful. Carnival cooks are covering both. And i have seen them change gloves frequently. But good observation and maybe tongs would be better. I'd like to hear other comments on this one. 😁

My kids talked me into booking Legend carnival I had to investigate 🔎 the new updates Luckily it was in 2014. If not I was on the Oasis Royal.

Are the water parks available if you cruise in December?
Yes the water slides will be open as you sail down the coast and get to warmer weather. 👍👍
Is the lido pool completely covered?
Not completely. One pool is not covered at all but the other one can be covered if they close it. Usually will cover if in cold weather because they have deck parties out there. 👍👍

Hmmm. The ship is an older ship but could use some updating but very clean and staff amazing. We go with other experienced cruisers and there was no complaints on food. You can always find something. The pizza bar and sushi are great. Guys burgers awesome. I have been on many ships and at dinner time our food was always hot and delicious. If we didn't like something could order something else. DISGUSTING !!! Please watch the video carefully, Serving fries. At the Burger Joint, I noticed the servers of food on the ship used their hands to serve or plonk the food rather, to guests. Terrible and classless. They both wore clear gloves, but why not use utensils to serve, disgusting using hands to serve french fries and other food. Carnival need to sort this out. Especially with covid around, this is TERRIBLE, BAD !!!!!!
You are totally wrong here. You better not eat in any of the dining rooms on a cruise ship they are wearing no gloves to make your food pretty. 😁 Have you ever Been to a 5 star restaurant or watched a top chef. They are touching your food with no gloves no hair coverings to make it look beautiful. Carnival cooks are covering both. And i have seen them change gloves frequently. But good observation and maybe tongs would be better. I'd like to hear other comments on this one. 😁
