I went to the Kamo Aquarium called "The World's No. 1 Jellyfish Aquarium" in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture.
The jellyfish swimming gracefully in the water was so beautiful and soothing that I wanted to see it all the time. It's a little difficult to access, but if you're traveling to Tohoku, this is a place you should definitely visit.
★ What is Kamo Aquarium? ★
Kamo Aquarium, which boasts the largest number of types of jellyfish exhibits in the world, has a 5m-diameter aquarium "Jellyfish Dream Theater" and "Jellyfish Commentary Corner" where about 10,000 moon jellyfish float. Is being exhibited. At the "Jellyfish Commentary Corner", where more than 60 species of jellyfish are exhibited at all times and their ecology and charm are conveyed, you can observe jellyfish at various stages of growth. It also explains how to feed jellyfish and how to eat it.
The on-site restaurant "Uosho Dining Okimizuki" offers standard menus such as seafood bowls using local fresh fish and seasonal limited menus, and jellyfish dishes such as jellyfish ramen and jellyfish ice cream are also popular.
