Good trainer hes not trying to throw and slam his students around. Though I guess it's also good to condition them for getting slammed on the ground.

In wrestling they teach this move. You get to the side of the person and throw your hip like a humping motion into their side like upper leg. Thier lower half and legs will fly up. While keeping ahold of them with their lower half knocked up you thow them down. Right when then land you will be on top and you just wrap your arm around the neck and hold till they tap out.

I was at a party and my friend wanted me to fight his cousin who was twice my size. He said my cousin wants to challenge you. His cousin downed a whole glass of vodca. I was like ok and did this then his other cousin challenge me showing off to his wife and he was like 20 lbs lighter than me. I did the same move but landed as as hard as possible and he just made a noise and it took his wind. A few months latter he said his ribs still hurt. Lol.

With the Kouchi you push the leg that you need to get in front of further away so if you wanted to go for seoi nage you would need to take bigger step to close the gap completely against the point of the kouchi and . He makes an opening with the kouchi to bring the left arm across for the opposite side seoi while only really having to turn his body. I think. Also could just be an alternating variation to trip up your opponent.
