What's the best thing about Coffs Harbour? THE BYPASS! Seriously though. When Kempsey got the bypass, it changed the town completely for the better. It is now a nice place to visit and spend the day, without all the traffic. The bypass will be an absolute game changer for Coffs Harbour.

Coffs Harbour's Bypass was the missing link in the Federal government's Pacific Highways duplication project, which has been in progress for decades. Coffs Harbour's bypass is the very last of this project to be completed. I would also add that Coffs Harbour, like other regional areas, has a high rate of unemployment, and those that do have jobs have wages far less than city dwellers. Yes, Coffs Harbour does have some millionaires, but not as many as other small towns; however, Coffs Harbour is a City in its own right. I would also add you sound as if you have never had the pleasure of driving through Coffs Harbour during holiday times or peak traffic times, where the traffic holdups are big time; not only that, but dealing with B Doubles and other heavy trucks make the trip difficult. I hope this explanation gives you a better insight into the facts of why Coffs Harbour City has its bypass finally being built and will be completed sometime in 2027..

Nice, drove through Coffs recently it was such a hassle and saw all the massive earthworks going on. Bypass is going to be nice when finished.
