Figo company fitted tyre size is 175/65 R14, meaning sidewall height is 114 mm. Best to upsize to 185/65 R14, so new sidewall height will be 119 mm. Upsizing to 185/70 R14 is too much, because sidewall height will increase to 130 mm.
Yes you’re right. As the road conditions on my daily route is not upto the mark. I wanted to add more ground clearance to it. I tried the 65 ones too. They didn’t made any major difference to the overall height of the car so ended up with these.
Thanks for the valuable suggestion on upsizing. Finally decided to bye 185/65 R14. Can you suggest a good tire brand for the city ride?
@@shankar7435 I had OEM MRF which I changed at 46k km. Near my home I checked Bridgestone, Yokohama, and Goodyear. Costliest was Bridgestone, then Yokohama, and cheapest was Goodyear. I bought Yokohama 175/65 itself. Dealer suggested 185/65. I bought 175/65 because my spare/stepny MRF tyre is 175/65. I didn't change spare tyre. Also, check if 185/65 fits in spare wheel well in boot before buying.

Bhai My Ford Figo 2012 tdi diesel titanium takes long self in the Morning like for more than 10 seconds & then gets start in second self around 5-6 seconds. What can be the reasons?

Fully synthetic is always recommended. I won’t recommend you to go for 185’s. As it will end up dropping your low end torque. You can surely opt for 185/60’s instead of 185/70’s goodyear assurance series.

Nope. Until & unless your suspension are in good shape.
Should I go with 185/70 or 185/65..since u have mentioned 5% stiffer in handling ?
Both of these profiles are good. Ya it felt stiffer in the beginning but eventually within 5-10 mins of driving you’ll get used to it. Go for 185/70 only if you daily face bad road conditions. 185/65 is equally good if most of the usage is on tarmac.

These are my 2nd pairs of 185/70. More than 75,000kms till date on these.

U can use it. As a “spare wheel” only.

@@prashantpandey6095yes most car companies give small size spare wheel it’s only for emergencies and is recommended to drive under 60 with spare tire till you find a puncture shop
