We had this car, the same model, diesel engine. Trust me, this car is a charm in terms of that time, and in drivability even now. We had three ford cars.. figo, aspire, ecosport and now kia, and this still is my dad's favorite!

The issue is the range of 1st gear is too low like when the speed reaches five i have to engage it in 2nd gear. Is it normal for this one? And also 2nd gear also is very laggy. From 3rd gear the vehicle starts to perform well
My dad bought one in 2014. After driving it for about 1.5 lakh kms, he bought a Creta this year. And now I drive it, and it's still so damn good to drive ,a real rocket✨
Go crash both the cars at 60 speed head to head and see which one is strong. Going from a well built car to feature loaded tin dabba is very sad 😢
The music system in this car is mind blowing (the company fitted one), the bass and the loudness is top notch and the quality of the car is so good that in full volume too the plastics do not rattle

I own the ford figo 1.4 diesel ... 11 yrs now ... Done 1.3 lakh kilometres... What a fantastic car in terms of build quality and mileage .. i still get around 15 in city ...very cheap maintenance.. I don't think we get such cars in the market today

We had 2011 Ford Figo 1.4TDCI TITANIUM VARIENT. Such an amazing car. Even the kushaq 1.0 which we own today can't match with it's performance.

Still own the first generation 2011 Ford Figo 1.4 TDCI ZXI.. 158000/- ODO. Still runs like new . One of the best VFM machine from Ford . Sad Ford closed the operation in India 😠..
This was my first car ❤️, so many emotions attached to it , the spacious cabin , the mind-blowing music system (many people asked me if had installed any bass tube but i hadn't) , the acceleration , everything was top-notch 💯

This old Figo had a gr8 punchy TDCI engine!!! 🔥🔥
Handling & stability is great no doubt but the 1.4 TDCI engine doesn't have that punch, it feels so underpowered (no idea about petrol one)
We had a diesel one 2013 model, driven almost 9 years, sold it off 2months ago

We owned A Ford figo brought in 2011 and sold in 2019.
This car was a gem. We had diesel one and it was comfortable and all but main part was it's Build Quality(we had a serious accident once but nothing happened to us even the mechanic was shocked after seeing the condition of the car), it's high speed stability was insanely awesome and highlight was it's performance really such a rocket it was.
I wish I would have driven it just once but I didn't know driving at that time 😥😥

when you buy a ford you should not see it's mileage. But unfortunately, for petrol model it's mileage for city is 10 and for highway its 14-17 max... Moreover it gives so much fun and mileage depends on our driving style.

What a great car this was especially the diesel one....I still can't understand why the second gen was not successful as the first gen.. this car deserved a S model with the classic 1.6 ltr engine...would have been bonkers...

It's been 10 years since i bought my 2012 Ford Figo Diesel.
Just clocked over 2 lakh km and the engine is still so good! Just got it's turbo and EGR valve changed and the old power is back!

One fine morning, I'm doing 150ks in figo 1.4tdci on highway. Only car that had me that day was a polo tdi.
Figo's only competitior is Polo.
Music system, handling, steering feedback etc are good in this car. Titanium offers dual airbags & abs.

I remember driving the Figo diesel from 2012 till 2016.. Solid, well build, solid braking, punchy but a little higher on maintenance.
I still have 2011 figo 1.4 highway mileage is still 20+ and maintenance is cheap it is a gem

1.4 tdci was a beautiful canyon carver, beautiful body control, steering is spot on, always a fan of hydraulic power steerings, braking is good, it may not have the top end but the initial pull is so nice, apart from the rust i haven't faced any niggles, yea the hood latch placement is stupid but it is what it is, for me it's a car with a soul, it's very communicative, mine is almost 10 years old, my family loves it, my girlfriend said never sell this car cos it is like a gud old friend. Currently the car is in a bad shape but he is gonna be back soon

I love it as being the safest and fully featured hatchback in its class. I have a Ford Figo Titanium Petrol since 2013, and prefer to travel in it and explore many parts of the country Super excellent for highway drives. I love my Ford Figo.

We have Ford Figo 2010 titanium as well. Stability wise it really is exceptional but as you said, engine needs more power and feels lacking in mid range . Other than that, superb car.

Thinking of selling my ecosport because i have to. They shut down our state’s only service station too. Now I don’t know which car to buy.. ecosport was perfect, pocket friendly and driveability better than lots of cars alot expensive that itself.
I am in dilemma. Mahindra and tata is a big no no as they always comes with problem.

You can keep it, search for used parts & aftermarket parts. Local mechanics are familiar with Ford now (newer cars are more complex now).

@@ksisneh its a pocket friendly car. The car has been with me for 11 years, and average maintenance has been around 5k per year. Parts are easily available everywhere: Ford service centers, local dealers, online.

I m drunk to the brim but I own this car so I m commenting. This is not a car this is an emotion. Zxi in petrol ..yeah yeah mileage was an issue 🤣.. this car ws a Sherman M4 tank.. everything R A W ... The doors didn't close with a thud.. they shut with a BLAST. Maybe a 2 star ,, the hell i care.. it stopped me from becoming a star when I met with an accident with a truck...that solid old-school body that exhaust note if u revv it hard.. that OEM audio system... That GODLY HYDRAULIC PS... That heavenly agility and suspension ....no bloody body roll and u can even Tokyo drift it at 100... Everybody said it won't last 100000 kms its a Ford.. the point is not how long it will last the point was how it would keep u smiling... Always... was hell underpowered... took it own sweet time to 100..... was never nervous at even 160....150000 kms i still drive without any major faults... The economy has dropped to 8-10.. i will nurture it till I won't get a spare nut in the market

I too own a zxi 2010 model. I bought it when i was 25,. This is my first car . I still don't feel the need to upgrade. Any 1.2 ltr engine car costs around 8-10 lac today. There wont be any sense to sell FIGO and go for another 1.2 ltr car. Hence this year I am gonna spent around 1 lac on figo and get it refurbished. I love my FIGO it never fails to amaze me!!

My families all time favourite, we had a Figo 2 years back, it was a beast and we got into an accident and still then it was working perfectly fine and even drove back after the accident. That’s the reason we didn’t leave Ford and got a Ford ecosport.
the 1.4 sounded like a tractor polo 1.2 tdi was way more refined(i know figo was cheaper than polo)

I bought it on March this year And used only for 2 months till may. I had to sell it because it was a faulty car sold by the Ford pre owned dealership and had to bare a loss of 50k. The steering was stellar and driving dynamics was the best. Felt bad to sell it

Try to get a Fiesta 1.6. That is the Duratec worth remembering. The steering was slightly less assisted too, which meant it gave you better feel.
