A big thank you for the Benante song covers as well as the EXCELLENT Anthrax documentary series on UA-cam.
CB is the man!
Charlie, I was fortunate enough to see you with Anthrax twice. Once, opening for Ozzy in late 1988 in Portland, Maine and in 1991 with Slayer, Megadeth and Alice in Chains, also in Portland, Maine. Breathtaking performances on both occasions! I just remember how smooth your playing was, and still is. The closest comparison would be a jazz drummer playing your bands style of music. Then, finding out that there was so much more to your musical and artistic abilities. Thank you SO much for all the years that your drumming and music has brought me. And, to play tribute to your peers shows so much humility and grace on your part. Kudos Charlie!
Benante has been 27 years old for well over 35 years. How?
Coffee
I just checked his age.. how?!
Alien DNA.
Think that's crazy? Tommy Aldridge has looked in his 60's for the last 50 years. 😂😂🤘🤘
@@randywissler9923 Hahha, true!

Joey was a legend! Makes me appreciate Charlie even more

Met you guys a few years ago at an autograph signing in Austin on my birthday. Best bday ever. You played with Lamb of God. I remember waking up in a parking garage the next morning because I could not drive home to San Antonio because I was shit-faced R.I.P Joey.
RIP Mike Howe

Hey Charlie my name is Steve Starr and IAM a drummer . I've played drums since I was 12 . I've have always thought you are the metal influence in my life and Neil was the more difficult of people I admired. I got to say thank you for among the living , drumming is epic . I just wanted to say that I love playing your stuff and style. you are the man . love and respect. have a nice day
Thank you Steve, that was very nice of you

Charlie you are not just an awesome drummer but a cool person. I hope I get a chance to meet you some day
It would be see an episode of Modern Drummer with Olga Englund, he is another metal musician with strong online presence.
🤘😻 will you guys ever do any stormtroopers of death stuff again?
With Mike Patton on vocals!!!!
Love the both of you just wish I could sit in and talk music and movies with you
I consider the 70's Era to have really started in about '68 or '69 when Led Zeppelin I and early Yes came out and maybe ending in '78 or '79.
Love the gummo shirt
We also lost Dusty Hill of ZZ Top today 😪😪
