- After testing the Samsung Galaxy S10 for more than a week, here's my honest opinion on if it's worth buying in 2021, and why I think Samsung was really trying to push the boundaries of what a smartphone is and could do.

A 3400 mAh battery is kind of small and I have my doubts that it will last a full day if I buy it used on eBay
@@venator7889 in my use of watching videos and taking pictures throughout the day, the battery isnt anything astonishing, but it does last long enough to withstand a full day of average use

I'm still using my S10 Snapdragon for more than 2 years now. Prior to that, I used the S5 for 5 years. Based on that data, the S10 would be good for 6-7 years more since its release back in 2019.
I had a S5 for over 3 yrs till I updated to an LG G7 ThinQ. That was such a great phone at the time. The S10/S10+ are the only ones I'd get to replace my aging LG G7. I'm sure I could get another year out of it, but no updates and them going out of the smartphone business and it's time to go back to Samsung.

@@eugene44569 $500-700 more for 5G that's not in my area. Plus I'm a Verizon customer so the S20 has no expandable storage and only 8GB instead of 12GB of RAM. Plus I'm a big fan of a headphone jack. The S10 series will have another Android update, and who knows maybe another. The S10 series has everything I want and a really great price. Still better than most mid range phones on the market.

Well i refused to spend over a grand on a phone with great quality so I ended up getting the s10 plus for a third of the prices and I'm glad it has the phone jack and sd card to add more memory like it explains in the video.

Great video and you're right about the placement of the power button. I'd hope it would be level with the volume or bixby on the other side. Coming from the s8 buying this in 2022 for just under £200 is insane...

Just traded my S8 (was still going strong with a replacement battery) for an S10. Can't wait, it's newer and better but still that classic Galaxy style and features that the newest galaxies don't have (headphone jack and microsd slot).

@@sharkkord they are impressive. I came from sennheiser momentum 2's and these sound even better somehow. I've read that the galaxy buds pros are still better than the 2's but I'm happy with mine.

Hey man, good videos, keep it up, I support your enthusiasm. Since I was watching I wanted to ask, I want to buy a phone right now. I don't actually mind if it is used or not. I was thinking about iPhone 11, or 11 pro. But I wonder if I should wait for 13. You think they'll get cheaper? I don't think I will switch to any higher model because of that boxy design.
Good question! So, obviously all iPhones will get cheaper when the 13 is released, some might get a few hundred dollars cheaper, others might get cheaper by only a few bucks (mainly talking about the used market). When it comes to the iPhone 11 and 11 pro, I do think they will also go down in price, but I don't think it will happen instantly after the iphone 13 is released. So, I think it comes down to you, if you think it's worth waiting a few months or so to potentially save 1-2 hundred dollars, than just wait for the 13. Honestly I would probably also wait for the 13 and then see what are my options.

@@TechManiac11 tbh I know a lot about canon cameras, quite a bit about Sony, but very little about Panasonic cameras. However, i Believe switching to the a6400 is a good decision, cuz I’ve honestly heard a lot of good things about that camera!

Just sold my S10 last week and have now upgraded to the S21 Ultra. The S21 is too heavy and the headphone jack adapters dont always work and when they do there is an annoying buzzing sound whilst in a call.

So...obviously the s10 is better, the s10e is just cheaper. I would say...if the s10 is not within your budget, and the s10e is than I think I would recommend you to go for the s10e. I’ve used the s10e for a while and I think it’s also a great phone!

oh ya, 5-6h is pretty good battery life, and honestly I did not expect to get anywhere close to that when I started testing this phone, but to my surprise it is actually pretty good, at least in my opinion based off of my testing :)
I have more than 8hr sot on my s10 plus but i am on aosp costum rom...
Was able to grab a steal on this phone, I got it for $175… I have an iPhone XR as my primary phone but I’m going to use the s10 for gaming and for most video/movie watching

No issues 2 years old.
I just got mine 2nd hand yesterday. Fast and responsive, and the battery isn't bad for a 3 year old phone. Camera beats my old one (iPhone 6). Happy.

The Galaxy S10 series is truly the pinnacle of smartphones! After this they sacrificed things to cut costs. And as a Verizon customer the S20 other than the screen was a step back due to only having 8GB instead of 12GB of RAM and no Sim card tray. Just be careful of fake S10's the market is flooded by them. But there are plenty of videos that detail what to look for to spot them.
I'm looking to buy the 5g version of this phone for £290. Would you say it's still worth it and how many years of updates does it have left? Lastly, is it useable after it becomes unsupported?
Not sure if that’s a good price, but it’ll also have the same amount of software support. So android 12 is likely the last major software update it will get. And yes In theory you can use it for ever even if it stops getting updates, but at point you’ll have to upgrade to a newer phone, since some apps might require you to be on a newer version of android. But that won’t happen any time soon, we’re taking 3-4 years later.

this might sound stupid but I traded my iPhone se 2020 for a open box brand new s10e. Yes the iPhone still has years of software support but the battery and just general usage is just getting boring for me. for now the s10e will be my daily driver till at least late 2022.

Actually when I filmed the A-roll I was on windows 10, just using the win 11 wallpaper lol. But a few days after filming the A-roll I did in fact install windows 11. So...so far I'm REALLY liking it! It definitely feels like a new operating system! there are a few bugs here and there, which is to be expected, as it's in beta but generally it's been very good. Oh, and I actually like the center aligned taskbar. Next vid you'll see win 11 in the background ;)

Amm...I wouldn’t just say it’s better than the s10. The note 9 has its strengths and weaknesses and so does the s10, but overall the s10 is probably better (in my opinion).
The s10 has more and better cameras a faster processor, arguably a better design, and longer software support.
The note 9 however does support an spen. And has a slightly bigger screen.

Good review bro. But S10 does lack higher refresh rate and in 2022 it’s a must have feature.
