To my understanding Abigail Folger was a social worker who did a lot to help people in poverty. Sometimes the killings are construed as "anti-establishment" killers versus "establishment" victims. In actual fact, Manson likely wanted nothing more than to be in the place of the people he killed, he wanted monetary success and fame, and killed out of jealousy. And my condolences to Debra Tate, I believe the last of her immediate family. My respect for her is boundless. An extraordinary lady.

No life w/o parole on the books then. That went on the books in the mid 70s. All death row prisoners received life with possibility of parole when the death penalty was abolished. The people included in that were also Sirhan Sirhan, Juan Corona and the two guys who kidnapped and murdered an LAPD officer in 1963.

I can understand why she isn't happy about the movie about her sister in The Haunting of Sharon Tate.... but I actually thinks it's a great message (nothing against what Sharon and her guests did or didn't do during the murders) however, I think the movie gives power back to ppl who are preyed on by psycho paths like Manson family! I know it makes you think of YOU yourself is ever attacked that you should fight if it looks like they are just wanting to kill you! Just like in 911...ppl on the last flight found out about other flights being flown into trade center and pentagon and once the passengers on the last flight found that out and KNEW they were going to die unless they fought and they did! I think Hillary duffs movie about Sharon tate is doing the same thing, trying to show you YOU DO have power and if someone wants you dead, you better fight! But again, nothing against Sharon, we'll never know what happened but we do know she didn't want to die and she did suffer as her entire family did...smh very 😥 sad...

Debra Tate is the last member of her family and she is still fighting for justice even 50 yrs later and on August 9 2029 will be the 60th anniversary of Sharon Tate's death as well as so many others who died due to Charles Manson. Charles Manson maybe dead but his legacy is chilling. Debra Tate saw Margot Robbie's performance in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and she was floored by Margot Robbie's performance as Sharon Tate and she had so much life. Sharon Tate died at the age of 26 and she was 8 months pregant with her son Paul Tate. Sharon Tate was beautiful and all heads would turn. I felt bad for Sharon's husband Roman and he lost his whole family in World War 2 and then to lose his friends and his wife and baby. Debra Tate still fights for justice to those who don't have one. Sharon Tate and her family would be so proud of her. RIP Sharon Tate and to many others who died that night on August 9 1969

50 years ago, i pray someone will step up and tell the entire story truthfully and give peace to any family members of the victims still alive. So many scenerios, so much silence from the ones behind bars, and so many out there, still living that were not involved but know something that have been hiding for years. Someone needs to step up and speak up before the entire generation is deceased. All the interviews, books, documentaries, theories, etc, but still no 100% truth. You cant say you are reborn and found Jesus and still hold secrets. You're not getting out and those hiding, your safe now, speak up! Clear your conscience while you can. Families deserve closure, even 50 years later.

Keep up the good fight Debra...we will always have your back. Never doubt that. I am truly sorry😢

People keep saying how much younger sister Patti looked just like Sharon. She 'resembled" Sharon but "Sharon" was absolutely stunningly beautiful and neither Debra or Patti looked as beautiful as Sharon. However Debra and Patti were still good looking girls but not even close to the perfection of their older sister who was ONE OF A KIND despite their shared DNA.

There was nothing “random” per se about the 2 houses chosen. Charlie had been to both many months previously. He had been to Terry Melcher’s a few times and even drove his Jag. As for the choice of the LaBiancas, Harold True, a former friend of the Family who even lent Charlie $200 lived exactly one house away. The victims were random, yes. The houses were chosen very purposely.

Sharon only spent about 5-6 in total at that house and wasn’t there from about mid-march of ‘69 until just 2-3 weeks before the murders. During the entire Spring and most of Summer, it was occupied by folger/frykowski who Debra didn’t really know.

Debra, who I admire for her tireless dedication to her cause, who so impressively picked up the mantle after her SECOND sister's death - is all giddy about this Quentin Tarantino film project. But she has turned vile about it since this interview, denouncing the characterization. While here she feels it is a wonderful portrayal, now she's gone 180 degrees, angry at it.
But here is what happened: Quentin approached her. He received *her blessing* on the project. He involved her in research, in observing the process, and in virtually every regard appears to have given more respect to the relative of a "biography" more than almost ANY Hollywood producer. Really. Furthermore, without a shadow of a doubt, he held this extremely frank conversation with her: "This is going to start from that framework and go wildly raunchy, and crazy, and off the chart, just like I always do, which is how I [famously] amaze and stun my audiences. They expect no less than amazing, unfamothably unpredictable things like blowing up Hitler or 35 different shake-your-head-in-amazement outrageous things in Pulp. That's going to happen here. You understand that, right?"
So you went into this with eyes open and were respectfully treated. Now you're going all self-righteous.
Sorry, Debra. Lately has not been your finest demonstration of devotion to your worthy cause.

First off, it’s Cielo Dr, not El Cielo Dr.
Second, Debra Tate is, of course, free to believe whatever she wants to, but Charlie didn’t pick the house at 10050 Cielo Dr to murder Terry Melcher. Charlie knew that Melcher didn’t live there anymore. Charlie went to the house to talk to Melcher, but Sharon’s photographer answered the door and told Charlie that Melcher didn’t live there anymore, but the owner of the property was staying in the guest house. So Charlie went to the guest house and the property owner told Charlie to get off his property and to quit bothering his tenants.
I don’t know if the property owner told Charlie where Melcher moved to or not, but Charlie found out that Melcher was living in his mom’s beach house at Malibu. Charlie went there and stole a telescope off the deck of the house. But Charlie made no attempt to kill or hurt Melcher, nor did he order his followers to do so. The killings scared Melcher which probably pleased Charlie, but that was not one of the motives.
