AWW, Susan, you have a heart of gold, dear friend 🧡. I, too, ❤LOVE❤ Etsy❣️🥰 I have ordered t-shirts for my daughter and myself a lot! Boy, have I thought about my purpose these last months as I have terminal cancer at age 54. Sure, there are very bad days after my surgeries and chemo treatments, but mainly, I've decided to live in a place of joy and peace by faith each and every day! I'm now at 10 months and I was only supposed to be around for about 3 and I'm grateful every day. There are many days in which I even forget I have cancer because I have made my focus outward, seeing how I can help others. I've made a point to live each day enjoying my passions as well- I bought a grand piano (it is amazing!), and I'm learning how to cook Japanese food! Living every day like it's my last has meant everything when it comes to nurturing my relationships and even my simple daily interactions with those around me. Putting on a smile (even when I'm sad or hurting) and reminding myself to be grateful daily makes all the difference! Thank you, Susan, for sharing with us. You are always such an inspiration.
Oh Susan! You scared me to death when I saw the title of this broadcast! When I read "saying good-bye" I thought you were closing your channel! We would ALL miss you and Desi sooooo much! I've enjoyed your channel for a couple of years now and always look forward to what you post next. We single ladies have to support each other and encourage one another. I hope you and Desi have a wonderful Christmas!
Oh my goodness!!! Thank you! I have wondered when I ride off into the sunset with Desi if you will remember the good times we had here! I know I will always think of every one here and the love and support I received. We are a great bunch of women...the very best! Merry Christmas!!!
Getting old is a gift that alot of people never get to experience. Enjoy the sun, the stars, the trees, the animals, the people and all that has been put on this earth for us. Most of all love yourself. You are beautiful.
I have read the Bible over and over many times and will read it all my life. Many times people are separated for God's reasons. Have faith, in the meantime, let us all embrace the years we have and the years we have to come, and vow to God to keep growing our lives larger in love for others. Sometimes, for a time, it is what it is. Don't shrink back grow bigger! Thank you for the beautiful festive duo, you two!!!
Dear Susan I've had a very stressful day my husband is in hospital having had a possible stroke and my brother has just gone on end of life meds but watching you has calmed me and I'm ready to face tomorrow.
I have watched your channel for several years but never commented before. Being older at times becomes overwhelming. I live in an area that isn't exactly friendly to single or widowed women. It is lonely at times, especially sitting at home at night. Everything is so quiet. I just lost my little dog, she was almost eighteen years old and always busy. I learned a lot from her, when she didn't feel well she was still wagging her tail and loving me. I hope I can be a good, giving person as she was a precious giving little dog. I'm not sure in my younger life if I would have noticed her gifts to me. I would have been busy doing many other things. I think being older we stop to think about what's going on around us.
We have so much in common. I am staying home this Christmas with my dog who developed Cushing's disease. She just started a stronger dose of medicine and if it doesn't work, I will have to put her down. She is only 5, and is going down hill, but still has her spirit in spite of it all. Bless you in your grief.
Oh I agree. It’s so wonderful to be able to appreciate all the things we missed when we were too busy to notice. It’s a much deeper existence. So sorry about your sweet little doggie. Maybe you could get a kitty?
My husband died four years ago, and I'm in the country in a big house. I adopted a little dog last year, and she had brought joy and purpose to my life. This week, I adopted a kitten named Nacho to give her someone to play with besides me. Hang in there, and I will, too.
@LittlePoet I have an infant basket weaved by a great, great aunt of mine who was one of the last native women in Northern California with the know how... I am in the Bay Area of Cali, but I have that baby basket and had one of my sons photo taken in it as an infant. It was a gift from my mother and I did not receive it until my second son came along. If I am around to see a grand child, then I shall gift it to be passed around.
Susan, I swear, I always love your show, but your holiday episodes always bring me so much joy. Thank you for welcoming us into your world. I know you're a fellow composer and vocalist. Is all or most of the beautiful music yours that we hear? I appreciated your quoting Joni Mitchell's RIVER. Joni is older, wiser, and seems so embracing of her life right now. The Boomer references (music, films, the seasons of life) are wonderfully validating. Many blessings to you and Desi in this season of Love & Light. (Desi is quite the crooner!)
You are such an amazing soul. You and I are so much alike. I will be 66 in April. I hurt all over. For the past two weeks, I have been given the opportunity to work with two girls with severe autism. It has been truly amazing spending time with them. They have taught me so much and I love spending time as their friend. I feel truly blessed. One of the teacher's asked me how much time I spend with her. I only spend about 1/2 hour each with them a day. He said really? You have made such an impact in the little time you have with them. I feel so blessed. Things in my life could be better right now. But knowing that I get to see these girls everyday makes me so happy.
Dear Susan, I live alone as an elderly senior. Fortunate to have a small Family That treat me so very well My delight this Christmas is my Youngest son age 51yrs is coming from Toronto to spend his Christmas Holidays with me in Vancouver Where I now reside. Mum I am going to drive you in your small Honda Fit car 🚗 Anywhere you wish to go, maybe to Whistle Mountain. I am fortunate to have the Joy of family Susan your weekly Post is something that means the Joy Of my life.especially with wee Desi, I am Irish by Birth came to Canada when age 22yrs Your account of your neighbor and the gift of the Blanket You so carefully chose for her , well moved me to tears Love your Bird Collection for your Mantlepiece 👏 Blessings to you as we enter the season of Festivities Mary Canada 🇨🇦
I live in Toronto, while my son lives in BC. Sadly l rarely hear from him. I am glad your son is coming to visit you. I wish you a happy Christmas, and your family too.
Most of my life has been spent severely depressed. When I was in my 40s, I was diagnosed with high functioning, high masking, high IQ Asperger's and it explained so much about why I felt I could never fit in, learn to navigate social situations, get over struggling to make friends and so much more. Why my brain worked the way it does and why I have certain gifts that make up for many of the struggles. Oh, if I could only have been diagnosed young. But on my down days now I try and stop and think about just how lucky I am to be retired and living in a place that's beautiful even though I'm on a tiny budget. I look around at the blue sky and flowers everywhere, even in December. I marvel at the 14ft. poinsettia in my front yard with hundreds of giant flowers. And I breath. Thanks for discussing the things that we don't speak about enough.
Just breathe - be content as you are. Look at the beautiful flowers. Do what makes your heart happy. Money cannot buy a true friend. Find your joy in the simple, beautiful things. A friend comes as an unexpected gift - so just smile and be happy as you are.
Peace & Blessings. I was diagnosed when I was 32. I'm now 64. I didn't focus on my being neurodivergent until I got in my 50s because I spent so much time focusing on my children. It's been tough - especially relationships. Figuring people out, who is genuine, how to navigate through the life map that everyone else seems to have a different perspective on how it should be interpreted... But, it truly gets better. You're taking the right approach. Enjoy the simple, beautiful things in life. Appreciate your uniqueness. Hang in there. Peace & joy to you.
Susan I know your neighbor will love her gifts and how sweet of you to care so much. It is hard when your neighbor moves. This week I saw a friend of my daughters commented on Facebook I quilt. That broke my heart. The girl is in her50’s . What you said touched my heart when you said we have bad times and good times but we do come out the other end.I commented and told her she was loved and I shared something I went through and understood how she could fell that way but I encouraged her to take each second at a time. Susan I am 76 and still feel young. I think keeping busy and doing things I love. When I am down I start counting my blessing. At 32 I had cancer. I know this is to long and I am sorry. This video touched me in many ways.
I adore you two singing at the end of your videos i enjoy every sunday morning here in europe✨💫 this will be a sad Christmas for me i lost my old cat almost a year ago and still i am not able to take another one... Much love to you and Desi❤️🐾🐾
On a separate 🎵 note. I love how Desi waits for his cue and the adorable little man gives it his all. You give us the perfect duet. And l love that gorgeous blanket. It is a treat to the eyes.
How blessed your neighbor is to have you for a friend. Yes, transformations are coming more quickly as I age and your reminder of the hope that can accompany those is Hope itself. Thank you for your tender heart.
I like the blanket and necklace you got your neighbor from Etsy. Your video you made was very special and the music too. Desi enjoys to be in the videos. Your home is beautifully decorated.
Susan, You must be Santa’s best elf, your lovely home is filled with love in every corner! I look forward each week to the beauty you create and capture❤️
I am 68 and I mentor young ladies in their 30’s and 40’s. I am aging in my body but my mind is young. I try to volunteer, sub at schools and not feel like I have no purpose. I consider it a blessing to age. When u bless others your mind is off of you Desi singing makes me smile each week. Love it
Susan, once again you provide answers to women who are hurting. I will be 80 years old next Friday…I go to Silver Sneakers three mornings per week and play Mahjong on Monday afternoons. I have tried to maintain good health and have had two episodes of cancer in the past few years. I am grateful that five of my friends are planning to treat me to lunch on Friday. I have much to be grateful for in spite of losing my husband suddenly to a heart attack five years ago. However, I am enduring sadness as well at this time because my daughter is not communicating with me. I won’t go into details because her letter to me was very hurtful. However, my son and grandson came from GA to MI the weekend before Thanksgiving and I was able to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with them. I don’t know what Christmas will bring because I don’t want to impose on others to be with them on Christmas because they have their own families and traditions. I will go to our church’s Christas concert and try to focus on the true meaning of Christmas. I am trying to move forward in spite of the situation I’m currently experiencing. I am blessed with good friends and amazing neighbors. Desi looks adorable in his Santa hat!!
I’m 71… when I was a single mom I received invitations for my children and me to join others for meals. I learned when we would accept the invites that we were Blessing the family while they were Blessing my children and me. Once I became financially stable I invited others to my table… widows, widowers, single parents and their children, neighbors that lived alone. It warms my heart to watch my adult children ages49 and 45 invite others to their tables. Please accept invitations and don’t feel you are imposing on others. May you have a Merry Christmas 🎄 ✝️
Thank you so very much. Being in the Southwest now for 19 years after living in Michigan for 21, I love your gifts. Unfortunately, I got a little sad when you were speaking of the conversation you overheard from the lady. I never felt old...even at 63 my mind if still very young, but I am not aging gracefully as I was struck short of my fabulous work life due to a several disabilities and I fought it to the bitter end...then I had to say good bye to a life I'd always known. Working defined me as a person sort of speak and I really had a very difficult time with the loss of work. It was like death to me. I will try harder to love myself even though my self worth deflated drastically. Thanks for always listening to your audience and making us feel very special. Bless you so very much and may you have bright and beautiful Christmas full of blessings, kindness, peace and joy!!!
Carnations are beautiful, not boring at all to me, have been my favorite bouquet flowers for decades. The petals are super packed, ruffled edges on overload yet they’re sooo soft and delicate. Sooo feminine and, sorry, they’re superior to roses in my eyes. Hugs.
Susan, I am watching you on TV tonight and you just said something that touched my heart... 'When I make my world really big, that's when I am my happiest.' You are such a tender and loving person. And you inspire me to change my attitude. Thank you for such a lovely video. ❤
I almost pee-ed my pants laughing at you and Desi singing at the end!! God please don’t ever stop making videos this one was so awesome. I just love you ❤
This is the most beautiful indian blanket, Susan! I also love the butterfly necklace - and your former neighbour will love both of it too, I am sure! 💝 Whenever I feel bad, I try to be my own best friend and ask myself: What do you need NOW to feel better? This could be a warm bath, a talk with the neighbour, a piece of good chocolate, a hug (yes, you can also hug yourself if nobody else is around - or hug a big teddybear😀), dancing to my favourite music, a little nap, a visit at the thriftstore etc. - or just a little time to cry. This helps me to realize: No matter what the circumstances are, if you live in the moment life is wonderful! Literally. ❤
I just love you and your videos! I’m 66 and I pretty much always have a positive attitude! But when I feel down I visit my son’s and my grandchildren! Then I’m back on cloud nine!! I love Christmas, and it sooooo much reminds me the reason for the season. I thank God everyday for the blessing he gives me and for my life.
Sweet gifts! The butterfly has always, to me, represents rebirth, renewal, new beginning after a death of a vision. Perfect gift for what your neighbor is walking through🎄
I have had several very deep depression episodes, even in childhood. I have had some deep losses that threw me into some scary spots. But under it all I have so much spirit. I am 71 and my doctor says that I am vibrant… he wants to keep me there. I may have some losses and depression but I know how to connect and get what I need. Most of all, giving and art has saved me. Oh, and a few years of therapy! I loved this episode. The thoughtful giving is my favorite thing!
You are an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Life has never been easy has it! Merry Christmas season to you!!! Love to you and yours always, Susan & Singing Desi
I think one of the keys to aging well is to make adjustments when you need to. If the garden is getting too much, reduce the size of flower beds and buy a few planted pots instead. If you can’t drive at night anymore, fill your social calendar with mâtinées and afternoon events. If you get tired doing all of your housework in one fell swoop like you used to, parcel it out so you do a little everyday and when necessary if you can afford it, pay for services. Don’t become frustrated and whiney about what you can no longer do, find new ways to enjoy your life and help it run smoothly. Get creative!!
Absolutely true! This weekend for my cousin and her husband was a tough one as her husband lost their niece at only 13 years old. I’m 52 and I’m grateful every morning that God gave me the opportunity of a new day no matter how I feel physically and no matter how the day goes. ❤
Hi Susan, my birthday is in January too (4th)! I actually found out that the Carnation was my flower when my first mother-in-law sent me a beautiful bouquet of pink ones for my birthday many years ago. It’s a beautiful flower! It’s so sad hearing about that woman referring her to herself as “a loser.“ our worth is not determined by others. She is still alive and there are lots of people to meet and things to do. I am estranged from one of my children, am over 70, and living separate from my husband, (which was my choice), but I don’t consider myself to be “a loser“ at all! I have a part-time job, creative hobbies, animals and friends to love and do things with. As far as I’m concerned that makes me a winner! Another lovely and meaningful video, thank you!😊❤
I just went through a complete transformation 3 months ago. A relationship trigger that went sideways with a family member. It really did a number on me. Well. ..i picked myself up and made 2 drastic changes with regard to smoking and wine drinking. Quit them both. Wanted to continue on with helping myself with the pain of sciatica and started a walking regiment. It has helped tremendously. I try and not let sciatica defeat me with its many limitations. My whole mindset has reversed for the better. More positive and dare I say I'm happy at 66 yrs . These 3 life changes were a game changer!! I love to decorate for the holidays as i am a crafter. Gives my life a purpose. Whatever the future holds for me, I am in acceptance mode. No gift exchanges . Just family time. That's my story. A grand one for me.
Sciatica is a hard condition to face. Good changes in your day are so helpful. Smoking and drinking only hurts you more. Keep on creating beautiful things that make your heart joyful. Stay in that joy!!!
Laura, I don’t know if this will help you but it helped me many years ago when I suffered from sciatica. I went to physical therapy. They used some type of ultrasonic device and went over the lower part of my tailbone. That, plus PT massage and prescribed exercises, helped me to heal.
That is a Gorgeous blanket and necklace! She will be overcome with joy🎉. What a wonderful neighbor and friend you are Susan. You asked attitude we have when life is hard, relentless , sad. For me , hope is the answer. I also have strong faith in God , that he will see me through, be with me , so I have no reason to fear for myself or my family. Being so thankful for all I have had through out my life. Never give up ! 😊
When I am down - first comes focus on all the blessings I have, then I ditch the chores and get something that is fun ,like paint or read or the choice of that day. Then I choose to eat something fun to eat like ice cream or pie, rather than normal food. I take care of me, in whatever way suits my need. Sometimes the choices are healthier, but not often. The choices have to be carefree and a break with routine!
I so enjoy your videos each week. And I absolutely LOVE Desi singing at the end! Don't stop. You mean so much to so many people. Looking forward to next week.
Although many think of carnations as ordinary, they really are perfection!! I haven't seen many drooping carnations in my life. So, Suzy, you are perfection. Always love to see you, and Desi singing. I watched you before 5am this morning as I drank a cup of delicious coffee. Oh, and the blanket is beautiful!! I know your former neighbor will love it. Love to you, and The Dez...Mimi
Love all the thoughtful gifts you selected and loving your sweater! The gift for your neighbor is just perfect! You will live a long life as you aren't afraid to say it like it is and you are a thinker and like myself we have so much to live for and so much we want to do. I will soon be 79 and I can't imagine never being here where I have only seen a tiny bit of this USA let alone the world. Life is to be lived and enjoyed. God created us to be happy, I wish people would think positive about things rather than negative. Negative is easily found...........Happiness is what is often difficult to see even when the most small thing can give us a smile if we just turn our head to see it! Blessings to you Susan!
WOW! You lift my heart and remind me there are so many things I want to do....Thank you so much for being here on this December night! I appreciate your kindness...much love to you and yours always, Susan & Desi
Desi, you are way too cute !! Embarrassing each moment of your day with gratitude, joy, and peace that you are given another day to enjoy. Everyone struggles with sadness, uncertainty in life but I’ve noticed living alone, I can mediate on Gods wonderful blessings and allowing myself to feel joy, peace and have a grateful heart…❤ I’m much happier.
Love your sweater today Susan!!! At 63 my idea of gift giving has changed alot. Perhaps its because I honestly do not need anything anymore so I only want to give gifts people will enjoy for years. Things they actually will use and/or NEED. Oh gosh Susan I have a similar neighbor who is 87 and going blind from macular degeneration. She lives across the street alone. I try to do what I can for her and pray she can stay in her house for many more years. Here in Dallas, turquoise is always in style. Butterfly is also the symbol of transition which is so perfect. You are kind and it's why we all love you so. And Desi.
Love waiting for Desi to sing for us. So adorable. I try to get out & take a nice, long walk no matter how long it takes me to get bundled up for exercise & mental health. It helps to lift the moods when they hit.
Saying good bye is hard….. never being able to see them again, I’m finding, is harder. My husband passed last Friday. Needless to say my holidays will be difficult for me. He had lung cancer and I’ve been his caregiver for this last year. Thankful that he no longer has to live like he had to anymore…….. so starts my new journey also…….
So sorry for the loss of your husband. Those sweet memories you two have shared throughout the years will become Blessings. My sincere condolences to you.
Keep busy. Maybe eventually volunteer at a nursing home or animal shelter. So many need help, and helping others, helps us. I did this years ago when I lost my husband, and it saved me. God is with you.
Those are nice gifts, Susan. A blanket for comfort and a butterfly for hope! 😊 That blanket is beautiful. You should get that necklace for yourself! I love turquoise jewelry. Makes me want to get mine out and wear it. When I’m down I pray 🙏 to Jesus and ask him what he wants me to do with my life. I pray for guidance and direction. And when I had my kitty cat, she’s In heaven now, I would love her up and snuggle 🥰 with her! Like you do with Desi! 🤗
You are such a gift Susan. And the end with Desi is just too cute! Great video today. You have a finger on the pulse of what your viewers are experiencing, and I have enjoyed each and every video of yours I have watched. The gifts you chose for your neighbor are perfect. I make quilts so I really appreciate the idea of what they represent: a warm hug and a reminder that someone has wonderful memories of times shared together.
Such a beautiful blanket and necklace to say goodbye to your neighbor! About aging, I try to stay as positive as I can and be grateful for my life experiences too. Sometimes I get down but I never stay down for long! Especially when there's a Susan and a Desi every Saturday evening to put a smile on my face!
I just love You!! I need your perspective! I am sad. My daughter moved to N. Carolina 2 years ago. I miss them so much sometimes it just hurts. They lived an hour and a half before. My husband of 57 years is showing pain. He has a heart and lung problem. I am hanging in to try and keep up. It is very hard. I have a faith. Thank God! So what will then next thing bring. I don't know. But I just want to be here with him . I have been with him since I was 16. Man!!! Keep talking and uplifting us. You are so kind! Till next time. Joyce
I hope you have a church or friends support system. Maybe talk to your daughter or other family about how you feel. Burdens shared are burdens lightened. God bless you!
Thank you for you’re sweet words. I love your channel. I am always encouraged by your words. I was born in January too… carnations have the most amazing scent. Blessings
Susan your heartwarming soul is shining through once again. You chose such a beautiful gift for your neighbour and she will cherish it for sure. I love your heartfelt videos so much and appreciate them. As always I look forward to the next one….Lisa 🤗🙏💓
Loved this video. My sister is turning 80 on New Year’s Eve and I didn’t know what to get her but that personalized necklace was perfect. Thank you soooo much for everything you do for us and share with us. We all love you so dearly and wish we were living next door to you and Desi. My best love to you Susan ❤😊
Though it could not be me, there is such a similarity with the overheard conversation...I am also turning 75, 2 days before Christmas and have no plans with my daughter and her family that day, though they live just 10 miles from me. My two sons live thousands of miles away from me in different states and from each other, as well. Sadness might come, but only for a short time...I turn my focus to gratitude for the blessings I have. On particularly difficult days, I do what I call the gratitude walk through my home and find joy and thankfulness.
Your a very wise person. I am 57, still working (thank the Lord) and my husband and I never had children, but we do share our home with two wonderful dogs. We have both lost our parents and I lost my one sibling a few years ago, he still has his three older siblings, but when I get the blues (as I call them) I know that I have to move on from that feeling and think of all the Lord has done and is doing in my life. I think of all the things I can do and do them on my own. Just getting up each day and going to work is a great blessing for me! And your exactly right about taking your mind off of yourself and thinking of others. Hope you and Desi have a wonderful holiday and beyond!
Susan you have a heart that is pure and your aura is golden. What a beautiful gift for the neighbor you miss so much. She will be truly touched. Desi is a sweetheart. Btw I loved last weeks video, I just watched it. So much going on with me. Keep smiling! You keep us all together. 🌲🥰
Hello Susan, it’s my birthday one day before Christmas & I will be 75. It makes me wonder where all those years have gone? So many Christmases and I am very blessed to say that most of them have been spent with family. As I have more years behind me than in front of me I have made a conscious decision to smile, be kind & gentle, and to enjoy each day God gives me, even though some days it’s much easier to do than others. Life can be difficult as we age but I have found if we try to make the best of our situation those around us respond positively. You are so right when you said helping others allows us to take our minds off our own problems. Thank you for your gentle & insightful videos. Happy Christmas to you & precious Desi. Keep up the duets!! Love from UK xx
❤ I want to start out by saying that I am one of those people who embrace my aging and enjoying the happiest time of my life. Gone are the daily struggles of getting to work, raising children and trying to keep our heads above water. I do so enjoy your weekly visits and want to tell you that you are one special lady. I enjoy your singing with Desi. Please keep doing what you’re doing and thank you very much.
I am a huge fan of William Morris. I have 5 of his framed art, a tray for my ottoman, a pillow and a table runner. I just love his art of cats. The Forrest animals too.
Susan, you are so AMAZING! You are so Kind, and Caring!!♥️🎄. REMEMBER It’s NOT GOODBYE, IT’S UNTIL I SEE YOU AGAIN! ♥️ You Put SO MUCH LOVE ❤️ INTO YOUR HOME!! IT’S A REFLECTION OF HOW SPECIAL, AND LOVING YOU ARE!!♥️ All the Gifts you have chosen for your Love Ones are TRULY THOUGHTFUL, AND BEAUTIFUL!!♥️🎄. I WISH YOU AND DESI,(SO HANDSOME IN HIS CHRISTMAS ENTIRE), AND YOUR FAMILY, A WONDERFUL, MAGICAL CHRISTMAS 🎄 GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU ♥️🙏🎄
Susan I look forward to your vlog each week - in New Zealand we celebrate Christmas in the summer yes! It is very different down under ❤ I wish every happiness xx
Take a picture of your neighbors house and use an app to make it look like a painting, have it printed large enough to get it framed with a mat. The new owners will paint the house and change it. Preserve it for her before it’s changed. That would be a great present that doesn’t cost much - ps make sure a bird or two are in the pics maybe by pouring bird seed piles strategically....
Thank you Etsy for bringing such magic into my life this Christmas. And thank you for sponsoring this video and bringing the very best shops to my beautiful subscribers. Merry Chritmas holiday to all there tonight...we love you! Discounts and holiday spirit at Etsy. go.magik.ly/ml/284tt/

Awh I can’t open the link; it’s prob my vpn - happens a lot. Does the Etsy shop have a name to search; maybe I can find it that way. Loved this week’s video - had to get out the Kleenex - happy & sad tears mixed. x

@LittlePoet Just found a fantastic snowflake Earrings and Pin to complete my Christmas Lounge outfit From Etsy!!
What a wonderful outlook you have!! You are an inspiration to everyone. Take care.
@@622barmacost thank you for your encouraging words!
❤️🙏
I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
❤
@@LittlePoet Are you leaving??😢😢
Getting old is a gift that alot of people never get to experience. Enjoy the sun, the stars, the trees, the animals, the people and all that has been put on this earth for us. Most of all love yourself. You are beautiful.
Susan, you have such a kind loving heart! Bless you and Desi ❤
You and Desi hitting that "High Note" at the end of the video is priceless. What fun you have with your dear companion. Have a wonderful day!🎵🎶🎶🎵🎶🎵
I have read the Bible over and over many times and will read it all my life.
Hi can I ask you something?
Good luck ❤
You are in my prayers. I cannot imagine what you're going through. Sending love and hugs from Alabama.
Yes@@murphymillman5190
@linneajohnson1321 I lost my brother on Friday 13th. He is at peace . Thanks
Can't get enough of you and Desi that little dog makes my day❤
Me too!!
That singing at the end makes
My week ❤❤
@@JoAnn-sk6kb Same here. The minute his face shows up I smile like a little kid from ear to ear. Just love the little guy.
Sorry for the loss of your little friend. Hug.
I hope someday when you are ready, you will adopt another furry friend. There are so many in the shelters wanting to be loved, and give love.
Susan, I'll be 80 on the 9th, Monday and I feel wonderful, aging is a gift from God treasure it. Very nice video.
Happy Birthday 🎉💕🌲🧁
Happy Birthday Maureen! 🎉💐🎈🎂 Hope you have a wonderful day!🎉
Congratulations and a big Happy-Birthday-hug from Maria in Sweden.

Beautiful Blanket, Susan.... OMG, I am Native American and what a Gorgeous Gift. A Great Life Investment. 🙂
It really is! Your comment means the world to me...
My parents had a few authentic ones when I was a kid. Where do you find them anymore?
Desi in his Christmas hat had me really laughing out loud 😂 Sweet little Desi.😍
❤
Your gifts to your neighbor are so perfect.
Love the duets from you and Desi. Precious
Honestly, when you and Desi sing at the end ..I get the biggest smile on my face. I just love it.❤

14 ft poinsetta that must be beautiful ❄
I wish you ALL THE BEST Sharrell! ❣️❣️❣️
❤❤❤
Crying as usual over your video! That blanket is stunning (may have to treat myself to one). Thank you for the holiday duet with Desi!
I cry too!!! Thank you so much for being here on this December night! I appreciate your kindness...much love to you and yours always, Susan & Desi
Desi is the best singer and he always gives it his all! Merry Christmas sweet friend!!! xo Susan & Desi
Saying goodbye is so hard. I am sure your friend appreciates you and your thoughtfulness. Lovely things bought.
Thank you so much for being here on this December night! I appreciate your kindness...much love to you and yours always, Susan & Desi
Susan,
You must be Santa’s best elf, your lovely home is filled with love in every corner!
God bless you🙏🏻. Can tell by your words that you’re a wonderful person 🌼.
Hugs.
Hi can I ask you something?
Precious Desi!! What a good sport! (a good singer AND easy on the eyes!!) LOL
I just love you ❤
You are so sweet!!
Hi can I ask you something?
Loved the words to Joni Mitchell.....I wish I had a river I could skate away on...........What a beautiful gift for your friend the blanket is.
This is the most beautiful indian blanket, Susan! I also love the butterfly necklace - and your former neighbour will love both of it too, I am sure! 💝
Whenever I feel bad, I try to be my own best friend and ask myself: What do you need NOW to feel better?
You always save the best part for last......Desi singing!!!!!!!!! Thank you Susan, you and Desi are so loved. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
I like this xxxx so positive ❤
This is an outstanding outlook and mindset to have! Thank you for sharing this with us 😊
What a great outlook on life. I can relate to all you wrote. Thanks.
Oh, I like this - so wise 💗
That’s great advice!
I should know beacause that’s what I do!
Happy Holidays 🎄🥳
Getting older is a privilege denied to many. I hope to keep collecting birthdays for a long time to come.
I turned 70 in August and not accepting it. My health isn’t well and my two sons aren’t talking to me, since February, 24.
Absolutely true! This weekend for my cousin and her husband was a tough one as her husband lost their niece at only 13 years old. I’m 52 and I’m grateful every morning that God gave me the opportunity of a new day no matter how I feel physically and no matter how the day goes. ❤
@@donnakollar3157 I hope at some point things get better for you.
The gifts you picked out for your neighbor are absolutely beautiful and so thoughtful! Always love seeing your videos come up. Love you and Desi ♥️🐾
Maxie is a sweetheart with an an upper cut just like Dezi. You and Dezi singing together is precious. You are so inspirational and beautiful.
I bet Desi even misses your neighbor! The gifts you selected are so thoughtful, Sue. They all will apreciate them.
Oh yes, he does miss her...he waits by the fence and barks for her to come out...it's heartbreaking...Merry Chritmas my sweet friend!!!
@@LittlePoet Merry Christmas! Be sure and take Desi with you when you go see her!!!
I wonder if Desi would understand when you take him to visit her...that she no longer lives next door.
You & Desi are just so precious! 💞💞
Hello Mimi!!! Oh it's Chritmas time and I need an update on you and Jim...I adore you soooooo much!!!!
Oh, I can't get enough of you and Desi singing (cute hat too) Happy Holidays to you and your family!!
You have a real eye for treasures . So much fun watching .💝
When you were talking about the beautiful blanket you found for your neighbor and mentioned “invest in life” that touched me ❤️
Another beautiful video love all the gifts the blanket is gorgeous I know your neighbor will love it many blessings
So sorry for your loss x
Sincere condolences ❤️🇬🇧
My deepest condolences on the loss of your husband. Bless you.
Keep busy. Maybe eventually volunteer at a nursing home or animal shelter. So many need help, and helping others, helps us. I did this years ago when I lost my husband, and it saved me. God is with you.
Those are nice gifts, Susan. A blanket for comfort and a butterfly for hope! 😊
That blanket is beautiful.
Susan, I am sure your Neighbor misses you and Desi just as much. Those are beautiful, thoughtful gifts.
You are so sweet! It makes me feel better knowing she's going to be okay.
@@LittlePoet
Singing Desi at the end. So cute.
Omg I just love little Desi the song at the end always puts a smile on my face.
Thanks again for sharing ❤❤❤❤ praying for every one of you .may God be with you all at this christmas holiday. God bless ❤❤❤❤
Thank you for you’re sweet words. I love your channel. I am always encouraged by your words.
I was born in January too… carnations have the most amazing scent.

Such beautiful perfect gifts for your sweet neighbor. All of us love you. ❤
My sorority’s flower is the pink carnation. NOT boring at all! I LOVE carnations!! They definitely reflect the delightful woman you are!
Loved the blanket idea. Desi looks so cute in his outfit. I didn’t think he was going to show up tonight but yeah, he’s here👏👏👏
I love Desi so much! What a precious boy he is. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The blanket was beautiful. A wonderful gift ❤
I love carnations!! It is so hard to believe i will be 70 in one month!! Happy Birthday next month Susan!!
I turn 70 in January as well. It feels daunting - how will I spend the rest of my life?
I will be turning 71 in a month !@
I turn 64 next month on the 29th
I didnt know we had a flower. I’ll have to look that up. I love birds. ❤
Hi can I ask you something?
This was very touching...do you have plans for Christmas? I have heard from so many gals here that will be alone...my love to you..xo Susan
@@LittlePoet Thank you for your kind response. No specific plans except that I will enjoy a "Nordic Feast" of seafood: salmon, shrimp and crab!
Thank you so much for being here on this December night! I appreciate your kindness...much love to you and yours always, Susan & Desi
I love that precious little Desi! How precious he is singing with you! Merry Christmas 🎄
Enjoyed catching up with you & Desi . Loved all the gifts you chose . I’m sure they’ll be treasured for yrs to come . Merry Christmas !
Desi all dressed up as Santa's little elf. 🦌🌲☃️ Such a cutie. I enjoyed seeing your Etsy treasures.

Susan I look forward to your vlog each week - in New Zealand we celebrate Christmas in the summer yes! It is very different down under ❤ I wish every happiness xx
Blessings to your neighbor....moving is never easy....may she find comfort in your beautiful gifts...❤
Thank you so much for being here and being so kind..Merry Christmas, Susan & Desi
I loved that gran finale with Desi ❤
Carnations are divine. Their fragrance is beautiful. That’s a blessings. Enjoy
Also Carnations are so enduring! They last forever it seems!
