Luke was legitimately my whole life through this season. I love this song and I loved everything about him. This is the perfect song to send him out on. He deserved better. He deserved to live longer. However, what if it had came down to Luke and Kenny than Jane and Kenny? I always believed that it would. At least, they were setting it up like that... Luke was such a lovely and a caring guy, and he was very young as well (only 27). I can't believe he had such a horrifying and a plain awful death scene. They could have done anything other than making him drown in an icy cold water lake. Luke's leadership and ability to move on, and being able to forgive others for their mistakes were also a highly unappreciated and unrecognized elements of season 2 and part of what made it so good and enjoyable. I felt a lot of attachment to him as a character and appreciate everything he did for the Walking Dead game series even if his story got cut short and too soon, and left potential wasted. Simply an incredible person and a great mentor to everyone around him. He was a sweet soul who deserved better than what the writers gave him.
I feel like Luke's character was ruined for a lot of people by Cluke. Luke was awesome, he was one of my favourite characters but some people are glad he is dead because Cluke is also dead.

As much as I respect everyone's opinion about their favorite characters, I have to ask, why do you like Luke so much??? I mean he was tolerable in the first episode, then after episode 2 he just became so annoying, abandoning the group when Carver came in, and even though he came back, I just couldn't like him, and why did he have to fight Kenny on everything? Well to be honest Episode 4 was the worst Episode written. It was handed off to a new writer who didn't know anything about the characters. So Luke was written terrible. His reaction to Nick's death was horrible. His role to protect was tarnish by some whore who offer herself to him, which seriously I doubt Jane would sleep with Luke, at a time like that. She knew the baby was coming, they both knew. So I don't hate him, I just hate how the writer, wrote him so terribly. As for abandoning them, I don't know, we don't see his side of the story. Maybe he had take a piss and then Carver came along and he hid. Since he knew he had to fine a way to get them all back out. To be fair, he was there within a day, of the group being at the camp. So he probably followed after them and then sneak in. Sure his plan could had gone better, but he didn't have any sleep nor ate to much. As for Kenny and him fighting....those two never got along in the first place. As well as Kenny, just being a thoughtless jerk and saying whatever he wants to Luke, which pissed him off. So yeah, the base of it all is just a poorly written character.
