Your Portuguese is incredible.
nice new look and thank you for all this data :)
Facebook Messenger is a good way to connect. No need for an international phone plan for the budget conscious (which is my #1 reason for moving to Portugal). And why not a family and friends Facebook group? These seem obvious to me.
Great suggestions!
why not ? thanks for advise
Where are any artist towns or cities, area where artists live in Portugal?
This is all excellent advice. Thanks to you both!
I am preparing to move either to Italy (gathering for Italian Citizenship by Descent) or Portugal on a D7 Visa. Either way it will be both exciting and challenging.
Thanks, Suzanne! Best of luck in your adventure abroad 😊 If you don't know already, I have some videos about the D7 visa:

@@JuliaRochelleAbroad Thanks! I saw them but things are evolving fast - more stringent requirements in Portugal, the 12-month Lease whereas a couple of years ago, people booked AirB&B and got their Residency...the increased Portuguese Bank Deposit required b before you can even submit a Visa application...the fact that Landlords are often asking for 6 or 12 months rent up front. I am shelving Portugal for now and concentrating on Italian Citizenship. I would rather have the EU Passport in any case, so I can live and work anywhere in Europe. I will continue to follow you and learn from your experience!
@@suzannederringer1607 That makes sense, can't beat EU citizenship! And yes, it is frustrating how quickly things can change. Hope Italy works out great!
If you're entitled to the Italian citizenship you don't need a visa to go to Portugal, with that passport you can relocate to any Schengen Area country. Specifically in Portugal you just have to go to the city hall of the place you're relocating and tell them that you arrived, then go to the Finanças office and ask for your NIF.

Welcome, could you please explain in more details how I can get NIF and open bank account remotely in Portugal. Can I do this on my own without paying a third party? Thanks.
How do I reach the coach
Hey what is your plan for when the tax excemption status ends in 10 years or so? I am very interested in moving my little family over but we have some concerns (which definitely do not outweigh the desire the move)
I actually was not eligible to user the NHR tax break on my income, so I pay the regular rate with all the locals here. It's not so bad.
How do I reach the coach?
