So glad to see your post. You are seeing Yellowstone on what would have been my parents 81 wedding anniversary. On October 16, 2024. It was my Dad’s favorite Park. Tried to take him every year when he wasn’t too ill! Since I was Orr trucker and owned my own rig I could usually sneak a trip through the park. I hope you enjoyed it as much as he did!!
My wife and I used to live in Billings Montana. Sometimes after a hard day, We used to drive to Cooke City through the Magestic Beartooth Highway to get dinner at The Prospectors restaurant. (Great food across the street from your dinner) We used to drive back and see the lights of Billings at 11,000 plus feet reflecting off the clouds! Cooke City will always be in our hearts! Next will be a winter vacation on snow mobiles through West Yellowstone and beyond! Dream trip! It will happen!

The worst lightening and thunderstorm i ever encountered was when i was driving into Yellowstone from Montana in the mid 80's. I was by myself and i was so scared. But thats a drive ill never forget. I can still picture and feel the long bolts of lighting. 😅

I live in Eastern Idaho a couple hours from Jackson. Been to Tetons and Yellowstone a few times lately, and i say they are my Favorite places to visit. Early May is best, no crowds, plenty of Snow and Green pastures. Quite remarkable. Glad you made it to our area👍👍. Safe and Awesome travels my friend. Yellowstone is my favorite park, spent a month there few years ago in early may, still lots of snow and the lake was frozen over, we stayed in Jackson Hole & The Grand Tetons and went into Yellowstone through the south entrance, a trip we will never forget. wolf sighting was a true blessing, most never see one. I love the view from artist point, and the walk down to the lower falls. great video as always. thanks for bring back the memories.

I did, I absolutely love Wyoming, both the mountain parts and the wide open. I did the whole Yellowstone thing, but also Chief Joseph Scenic byway & The Bighorn mountains. Last I went to the Brooks lake area and camped there, drove down to Dubious and took a new route over to Medicine Bow scenic byway, and camped up there before heading down to Colorado. Where are you located?
This is one of your best videos! They’re all great but this one is superb, with the variety of beautiful scenery, your comments (never too much, just enough that we know where you are) and your music. The slow motion work for the lightning strikes really captured the power and mood! I always think that you compose your videos like music, with changes of mood and tempo, action and movement contrasted with stillness or focus on one thing. I posted this video on my personal Facebook profile because I’m sure many of my friends (I’m in western Canada) are interested in seeing Yellowstone. I know I certainly had mental images only of the major sights like Old Faithful but you’ve shown me so much more of the park and surrounding area. Thanks!

The cold front coming into a warmer zone provided dazzling cloud formations, and the lightning show was breathtaking. The fresh snow fall was the cherry on top of the cake. Glad you were able to access the park during this period as the landscapes were a wonder to behold. The wildlife sightings were numerous and impressive. Your decision to go to the Fairy Falls Trailhead to view Grand Prismatic from above was the right call as you captured it in all its glory. 👍 🌞 ❄
I love your videos and like you I love a good lightening storm. I have family in California and have made so many road trips right across the country to get out west and have gone into Yellowstone on almost every trip. Just love Wyoming.

I live in the Northeast, haven't been born on Long Island, New York, and lived there for 34 years. I'm now in another state living with my dear daughter. Oh i know this place! My son and his wife got married at the top of a glacial lake there…..beautiful! Hike up for hours….changed clothes behind a tree and they were married in a wedding dress and tuxedo!
My backyard. So pretty. I had wanted to se Yellowstone by horse drawn carriages but by the time I could go, they discounted them. They are making improvements all the time. The pots. .. I can smell the sulfide, you definitely want to stand down wind. :) i enjoy your trips. Thank you

should you ever have the chance you should definitely take time to visit japans northern-most island of hokkaido in winter. it is a vast and wild place which is very rich in wildlife, crazy weather, and vast and open wild places. it very much reminds me of alaska when i go there. and you can hire tiny little camper vans which are well adapted for use here.

Oh i know this place! My son and his wife got married at the top of a glacial lake there…..beautiful! Hike up for hours….changed clothes behind a tree and they were married in a wedding dress and tuxedo!

My backyard. So pretty. I had wanted to se Yellowstone by horse drawn carriages but by the time I could go, they discounted them. They are making improvements all the time. The pots. .. I can smell the sulfide, you definitely want to stand down wind. :) i enjoy your trips. Thank you

should you ever have the chance you should definitely take time to visit japans northern-most island of hokkaido in winter. it is a vast and wild place which is very rich in wildlife, crazy weather, and vast and open wild places. it very much reminds me of alaska when i go there. and you can hire tiny little camper vans which are well adapted for use here.
