- Appion’s Valve Core Removal Tools are easy to complete a full rebuild on. Since these o-rings and seals take a lot of wear every time the tool is used, it’s a good idea to check them regularly and replace them when worn. The KTMV25 kit includes O-rings for the swivel fitting, stem assembly, and tool body, along with ball valve seals and valve cores. This makes it a great kit to keep on hand for on the job repairs or preventative maintenance. This video will show you how to replace the internal o-rings and seals on second-generation Appion VCRTs.
⚠️ Repair Tips:
🔧 Use the blunt end of a ballpoint pen to help fit the o-rings into their groove in the fitting
🔧 Lubricate new o-rings with clean vacuum pump oil for easier installation
🔧 Use another VCRT or system fitting to fully seat the o-ring before use

You literally can rebuild two of these because the rebuild kits do two of them for $43 or pay $160 for two new ones. It takes time to do the first one but it's alot cheaper
This a good video but it would be real nice if yall would lay out all the gaskets so we can see which ones yall use out of each packet
Because I just replaced the gaskets on 2 valve removal tools with the ktmv25 repair kit but ended up with extra gaskets

my swivel end has 2 o-rings? One appears smaller diameter and thinner?
On the older style removal tools how do you remove the pin
Ideally, use a 1/16in punch or 3mm punch if you can find one. You can also use a very small allen wrench to get it out, but then you risk damaging the allen wrench.

If you need a second VCRT to do this repair, you might as well just buy a new one and skip the work
You don’t need a second VCRT any quarter inch male flare fitting will do
