Thank you so much for WATCHing my video and I hope that you check out all my other content.
I release 3 videos per week, all watch related, including reviews, first impressions and general watch related topics.
I try very hard to diversify my content. Featuring known watch brands, microbrands, Aliexpress. Some I have purchased new, others second hand.
The majority of the watches that I feature I have purchased. I buy them to enjoy, wear, have in my collection. I then also feature them on this channel.
Being a smaller channel it is challenging to cover the cost of all the watches that I buy and partly because of this I have become an affiliate member with a number of companies including Aliexpress and Ashford.com.
If you are looking for watches from well known brands then it is worth checking out:
www.ashford.com
If you are looking for great strap options then definitely check out:
vario.sg/
and
artemstraps.co...
As an affiliate member I may leave affiliate links in the descriptions of videos. These links will direct you to the watches that I’ve experienced, reviewed and would certainly recommend. If you choose to use those links I will earn a very small commission.
Thank you very much if you choose to use those links.
Below are affiliate links for my absolute favourite watches on Aliexpress. Each of them I have owned and had positive experiences with the stores that they are linked to.

I got a 1972 Seiko LordMatic. 36mm, unique case, hacking and handwinding, silver with black indices and a day/date which I love. The seller recently got it serviced and I am enjoying it as an office watch.
They are great looking watches too
WOW That Rado looks SOO amazing! Congratulations on a brilliant vintage piece! Just gorgeous!
I am so impressed by it and am really enjoying wearing it.
@@WATCHingJames Awesome! 🍸🍸
A lovely old school watch, with bags of character
I am really enjoying having this one in the collection
Nice -- my other favourite watch UA-camr! Great watch -- looks very good on you.
He makes some great and entertaining content.
That’s a beautiful watch. I really like vintage Seiko Watches. Definitely have to expand my horizons. Thanks!
There are some amazing vintage watches around.
Oh man Constellation pie pans are AMAZING! A friend loaned me one once - Absolutely brilliant!
One day I’ll buy one. I obsess about them so will need that experience at some point.
Dear James, you have just skyrocketed the Rado golden horses’s prices on eBay 😂… everyone is after it. Such a nice watch. Congratulations 🎉
Hahahahahahahaha. Whoops. 😬
I love the look of that Rado and many other vintage watches. I don't really want to dive into vintage because of cost, size, repair, franken etc
I know what you mean.
I've been collecting vintage for quite some time now. Mostly mid century stuff. There are lots of good value to be found. Keep an eye out for Record Geneve, Lenga (great family story), Longines, Hamilton, and Waltham.
I am a big fan of vintage. This Rado in particular really stood out for me.
Wow I really love this Vjntage Rado
Always like you, your explanations, and your principles in choosing watches
Thank you
Dude this is nuts. I've been keeping an eye out for a vintage Tudor, large or small rose. I told another guy at work and now HE'S looking for one. We both agree that the modern watches are all pretty boring and that vintage is the way to go. I was also looking at some of the Rado's on Ebay and wondering why they're so cheap for the vintage ones. Those old Rados are really cool. I'm eyeballing a Golden Horse, myself. Nice video, thanks!
Check them out on Buyee.com (not always cheaper, but have a big range of them) I actually just bought a second as it came with the original bracelet
I got a Rado Diastar Automatic Black Dial with day/date complication and diamond indices. This is it on Jomashop so you know exactly which one I own (there are several variants): Item R12408613. What they fail to show is the beveled crystal that captures the light. Also cool is the "stretching" bracelet; under the clasp it's kind of spring-loaded so it can automatically expand when you flex your wrist, so it doesn't constrict, kind of like how Formex can "expand" (or push) up. The anchor does move in traditional Rado form. It's a crackin' dress watch and I love it.
They make some lovely watches. I was wearing mine yesterday.
I am still interested in the green captain cook.
Nice! I got my Rado Golden Horse Day Date same dial. Cant beat the price
I really love having this one in my collection. I wear it a lot
That is a lovely piece James. Interesting that your favourite watch is an Omega Constellation Pie Pan....my grail is a Constellation C-Case. 😊
Amazing watches.
Im really enjoying this Rado as well. More than I even expected
I'm obsessed with the Omega Seamaster TV dial. $700-$1000ish. Nice video mate 🍻
There are some amazing options out there
I have only one vintage watch, a 1950s Timex Marlin. I really like the Art Deco numerals and mid century vibe. You found an absolute gem in the Rado. I like to wonder who owned the watch. What cool historic events has it witnessed? Watches are mini representations of their era. Another great video, James! P.S. Is that the sword you use to fend off crocodiles?
I have the same thoughts about vintage. Thinking about the life they have led.
If I am ever that close to a crocodile that I could use a sword then I’m in trouble 😁
Great pickup as always, and a pie pan is definitely in my future as well! The sheer number of variations (and high risk of redials) does make it a bit harder to find the one to go for though!
I’ve found that too
Lovely piece James. Suits you 👌
Thanks mate. I love it
Norman is absolutely fantastic and that Rado is beautiful brilliant silver dial really love the red accents on it but for me a hair too small said whilst wearing my 52mm invicta bolt 😂😂
Hahahahaha. Possibly a bit small for you 😁
Thanks James……Now l’m looking for a Golden Horse!
Hahahaha. Good luck on your hunt. It is a great watch. Definitely worth considering
great buy! this model is my kind of watch too, i know the model, im leaving now to search one haha
Hahahahaha have fun on your hunt
That size looks just about perfect on your wrist. You may just need to "recalibrate" your eyes.
I definitely do. I hope that this one helps with that.
Great vid
Thank you
You're a Norman fan too? His appeal,is selective so far, but we think hes cool, I lent him that Louis Roussel that looked like a Rado. I love the new Horse too btw.....
He has a great channel. One of my favorites
Yeah great watch!
Thanks mate
Hello, great video
Whats the difference between Golden Horse 11675 and Golden Horse 623.3001.4 ?
I’m not completely sure. There are a number of different variations. It took me a while to find the one I wanted.
I found the dials were slightly different and different case sizes.
Also the logos seemed to change a bit depending on the model.
You need to review a Strela 38mm 3133 movement
It looks very interesting
Nice
Thanks for WATCHing
are the golden horses edition vintage or something newer from rado?
Both they have vintage versions and they released a newer version a few years back. James showed a picture of the new version in this video. He picked up a vintage version.
There was a reissue a few years ago but the originals like mine are from the 50s-60s
👍
👍
I would love to pick up a quality vintage watch, never really got around to it.
It is great to have one in the collection. But worth taking your time to find the right one.
I am the complete opposite of you regarding vintage watches. I own about 30 vintage watches (most of them chronographs) from 50-60-70ies, and they are way better quality than current watches around the 1.000$ pricepoint. Do your research, learn, and take a step towards vintage! You will get used to smaller sizes although not all vintage watches are small.
ps. Nice Rado!
That is great to hear. There there some amazing vintage watches out there.
My wrist is 6.1 inch. I can wear all of those small watches.
You can go nuts in vintage.
😁
7.5" I don't think I can pull off smaller than 36mm this isn't the 1960s anymore.
No , come on now
A watch needs to work and have some sort of accuracy.
May as well wear a bracelet or a wrist band from a concert.
You need a sence if time , i for one loose it if the date is wrong and will freak , let alone walk around with a non working watch or eratic time keeping.
Thankfully this one has been running really well
Wow thank you so much man! :)
Yeah I absolutely lucked out with the Tudor.
I still think about looking for one. But I think the Rado probably suits me better.
And good to note, servicing a Tudor, even vintage, is at least double the other vintage servicings I've had done :/
But then again I was replacing the threaded crown so it wasn't a standard servicing.
Worth keeping in mind.
Thanks Mate
