3D Destruction Compilation (Earthquake simulations in Blender + BCB realistic structural extension)

Here's an epic earthquake destruction compilation video that I made using some of my simulations that I have not posted so far! It features a variety of structures tested on a virtual shake table that simulates earthquakes of different magnitudes. If you play Teardown, Besiege, Gary's Mode or Roblox, you'll definitely enjoy this type of a video! :)

This video simulation was created in Blender 3D with the Bullet Constraints Builder (BCB - a structural simulation software) which extends Blender´s basic physics functionality with a sophisticated toolset to simulate load dynamics in building structures. It establishes constraining connections between rigid bodies that incorporate real world behavior and parameters. It has been developed at the Laurea University of Applied Sciences in Finland within the scope of EU Inachus FP7 Project (607522).

i have to say that your videos are extremely good. lot of effort can be seen through your simulations, especially the detailing is worthy of note. there are little things to refine but i can tell you for sure that you’re improving quickly from the latest videos and you’re going to be great. keep it up mate!

I love making these stuff on roblox by using a game called "whimsical building" and individually welding thousands of bricks (worth it though) and testing it

Extremely well done. It was quite interesting to see the buildings in various stages of their final construction. I wanted to use the perfectly good word, in speaking of the buildings, but no matter how I tried to use the "E" word, it came off sounding prurient, which was not my intention. Michael, you have done some remarkable work in crating this compilation of destruction. Thank you, my friend, for working so hard to bring this to us.

The structural simulation software that I am using is relatively new and I didn't find any tutorials online which means, I should be the first making these! I am planning to do a tutorial very soon, hopefully the first week of January :) The good news is that the software is all open source and free to use
