I have absolutely no interest in being Vegan or anything to do with Veganism but I subscribed to you for one very simple reason...you are hilarious!!! When you let the bananas hit you in the head I actually laughed so hard that I spilled my coffee. It's obvious that you are very passionate about the things you discuss and I LOVE that! Lol! I always wondered what was up with hanging bananas. I guess the theory is that if they are sitting on a hard surface, they will bruise as they ripen. I've never had that problem and I go through a lot of bananas! Love the twine idea! You could even use a screw-hook and screw it into the underside of your cabinet further back and out of the way.

EcoPeaceful I actually had one of those cheap plastic banana hangers many years ago! I think my husband and I received it as a wedding or Christmas gift or something. And the hook did break off very soon after we started using it. Absolute junk! :)

We have one made out of wood that my husband won't let me get rid of (it drives me crazy, because it only fits one bunch of bananas, and we usually have at least two bunches in the house). At least it's not plastic, but I'm with you, it's definitely not necessary!
Wood one not so bad, it is probably sturdier than plastic. For some reason, my husband's stuff in the kitchen drives me made too. lol

Bananas are cheap where I live if the ones I have are over ripe I just buy new ones. I take the old ones and just chop them into pieces and put them in the freezer in a glass mason jar and take them out when I want to make a smoothie. My sister likes to bake them into muffins and bread but that's too much work for me.
You are brilliant! Hanging twine all over my kitchen has given it the "hillbilly" look that impresses the neighbors. Why not just spend the $3.50 sport?
Because MANY of us are trying to AVOID using plastic!!!

What a stupid thing to have invented. As if we need more plastic things. This drives me insane. I just made a video about the top five ways to eliminate basic plastics from our home and people invent this kind of useless stuff?! :(
