thank you so much for your video and written pattern... beautiful... could you please tell me what to do to make it bigger for a adult blanket.. please and thank you so much for your help
hi, you can find the tips that i gathered from other subs that made their rugs/blankets larger on how to make it bigger here. www.bobwilson123.org/home/archives/02-2015
Thank you for the video. I would like to know if this pattern could be made for a blanket? If so do you have the pattern? Your tutorial are very informing. Thankyou again.
I just started making this Granny but I am making as a blanket. You mentioned that it should sit flat and if doesn't it? how to correct the problem? thanks, I am having fun so far.
i cant wait to start this. but at the very begining can i just chain 5 i think that how many u did n then slip stich instead doing the magic loop will it work the same. ?
hello christina, you can find the written pattern on my website. Also for future reference you can also find links to all of my written patterns in the information box under the videos. 2nd, you should only need about one skein for each colour. you can also find all of the information about the samples I made on the written pattern. this includes yarn used, hooks and how much yarn for each sample. happy crochet!
I seem to have an issue with the rows with all shells. When I end with a new row after doing all shells; I always have to adjust the shells in the previous row to make the current round all even. Can you suggest a way to me to prevent having too many shells on the all shell rows. Thanks, Kellie
Hello MsKJ2007 if you are getting to many shells then you are not putting the correct amount of shells in one of your rounds...I am not sure why this is happening, you can send me a photo to bobwilson123@hotmail.com.au and I can see if I can 'see'what is happeneing
Hello bobwilson123 I figured it out. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have really learned a lot! I am so impressed with myself. It's turning out beautiful! I will post it when I finish. Kellie USA
Claire, my question is how is one supposed to figure out the formula for these row by row increases? I know you are telling us what each row should be but is there a mathematical formula?
Yes there is a formula, you gain an extra shell (3 double crochets) on each increase round. The rounds that have no increases are just to make sure it lies flat and doesn't ruffle
@@celticfairie3 you are always starting at the beginning of the row every round since the round before is joined and fastened off. even if you are only using one colour you still start each round in the beginning and if making larger you are still using the same increase sequence. you join into your next chain space after the previous join and you will always start an increase round with an increase. the video goes over this and you can also follow along with the written pattern.
I have 'cooked' my brain trying to figure out how to increase the size of the rug. I am trying to use your pattern to make a table cloth (sorta like a big doily) in cotton with needle 2.5.... it is ending up much smaller than yours for obvious reasons and i would like it to reach the size of 95 cm. So you say further down int he comments the formular is ' gain an extra shell (3 double crochets) on each increase round.' ... my brain cant cope with that math :( ... is there perhaps a chance that there is a easier way to explain how i calculate and encrease my work ?
Hello this is the advice I gave a lady and she made a HUGE blanket So your last increase round is ....round 36 and its is - shell into the next 5 spaces inc into the next You could try following the increases and go back to round 11 and - shell into the next 6 shells, increase into the next ..... Then follow the instruction from there....haven't tried it myself but that is how i would do it if i was going to Hope this helps you

I m sorry but i do not understand what you mean, as long a the increases are spaced out the same all the way around that is all you need :) if not you may have made a mistake, if there is not a mistake on 15 then check previous round and also the last increases round you did, that was round12
Clare, I really enjoy chrocheting along with you! You are so careful and every round comes out so well. Thank you for your efforts!

I love this. but I would like to say that I found that if you add the chain in on the repeat role 7s it will help it.
thank you for the feedback
I found the same thing ,by adding a chain in the 7 th rows it lays flat .
where do you add the chains? In between each shell?

+Chrissy Reiswig Yes you can, in most patterns if it starts with a magic loop you can use the chain 5 and join instead
Where can I get the written pattern. And how many skeins of each color
I'm loving this and want to do it.
