The 2000 and 2000XL are the best mix of old and new, they take all that made the 60 and 3000 great and put it in a smaller more affordable package yet are modern enough to not slow you down too much but not that new where features and OS updates start to get in the way or distract from the music making process.
@@defcreator187 if You compare just the samples and pitch, it wouldn't show a difference but when You make the same beat on 2000 and 2000xl - you can feel that in some way 2k classic is punchier on drums but softer in the same time
Much respect VU for taking time out of your day to make this video. You can try to explain your reasons to everyone watching why you love the 2000 so much more than any other MPC and most people either won’t understand or just have something negative to say. Also, I have a ton of respect for all of you guys like Accurate Beats, Boombap Art, Blezz Beats, Marlow Digs etc because English is you guy’s’ second language. I don’t think people really understand how hard that is. I hope to visit your native country Poland someday
That's really nice, thanks :)
Peace pokój yo! The creative process is not always about the complexity or capabilities of the tools that you use. What is more important is which instrument makes you feel comfortable or what comes more naturally to you. Certain energies, vibes, grooves, or creative impulses are also essential. Often, simpler things can lead to more creativity than advanced ones.
Love tthe beats VU. Classic 2000 is a keeper.
Amazing video, killer beats. I suspected it was picked as the best for sentimental reasons, and while subjective, yes, I think having a sentimental connection with a instrument is the most valuable reason for choosing it there is.
PS: looking forward for your next beat tape.
Beat tape is in the process currently and one album with a rapper and I'm on beats ;)
Thanks man for the great Video 🔥. I like the second Beat most. Maybe it's better that some people don't know the qualities of the mpc 2000 Classic. The market prices are still quite humane.
And of course the machine is slower than modern ones but the sound is incredible. That counts.
The jog wheel on the 2000 classic is the best. Chopping is a pleasure
In 2kxl they add trimming samples with fader but Akai remove this great jog wheel. This is why I'm not a biggest fan of XL, because I know how great it should be with classic jog wheel
@@vubeatz yes, I agree
Nice video & great beats!
I too love the 2000 & xl…but I think I can't go back to using them…the limitations would probably drive me nuts these days.
I wish Akai would rework and simplify their modern MPCs to not rely on the touchscreen so much. Or make something like a dumbed down version that is somewhere in between the 2000 and what they have now.
If you don't love MPC at MPC worst, then you don't deserve MPC at MPC best XD
@@vubeatz😂😂😂😂😂 damnnnn

Speaking about anything with THAT LEVEL OF passion is never useless. Great beats, especially drums. Nice use of effects.
These beats are ill son. Pozdro!
Love the second beat on this video. It seems very popular too. The Classic was my first MPC too. I love all the MPCs that I have. They each serve a purpose so I can't really say which one I would keep as they all have some sentimental value to me. I can see that you have the fun with the Classic. It shows on your face when you use it.
Keep up the great work with the videos. I just got my XL fixed earlier this week so it's back in the lab being used again
Love this, I've had a similar idea for videos like you. Just yapping about old gear seems very therapeutic 🥰
kozak bity, ostatni na rhodes idealnie mi siedzi :) Pozdro z Berlina
Sick beats! The 2500 is last classic MPC
No lol
The favorite pant bush of an artist
special herbs vibez, very nice
Dope Video👌 Thank U💪

Super video ☺♥♪ BRO
The second beat is super good!
damn I love the 2nd beat 👍
dobra robota🔥
Second beat🔥
Amazing video man! really enjoyed this one. Akai mpc 2k Classic & XL are both beautiful machines and really fun to work with. Do you still have the akai s3000 (non xl) sampler?
it'l be nice to see how you use the mpc 2k classic/xl to control the s3000 with midi:)
yes, I have it and it was even recently refreshed with a new screen, buttons and a floppy disk emulator
@vubeatz Oh man refurbishing that thing definitely gave you good karma🙏 Would love to see video about mpc 2k + s3000 that shows how the midi is in synch between those 2:)
I love it

Live sessions. Where they’re at???
I need couple months to get back to lives. Because I got one month old daughter in the house now and I'm doing everything in 2h intervals between feeding and changing diapers ;)
@@vubeatz spoko mordo 👋
And between the MPC2000 classic and the S2000 Samper classic. Which one do you advise to buy? Maybe it sounds wise. Both are the same. But is it the S2000 classic faster than the MPC2000 classic? Which one has a better workflow for 2024?.
@nanfervexino workflow is kinda hard to compare because it’s two different types of gear. S2000 drums for me sound a little fatter than in 2000 classic. Mpc 2000 classic is a beat machine and S2000 is just a part of beat machine so You need to have another gear (like sequencer) and to operate it.
@vubeatz Yes, I know. But since I have the Maschine Mk2 with which I can control the S2000 classic. and I saw your video where you say why it is better to sample on the S2000 classic instead of the MPC2000 classic. So I wanted to know which one you would recommend as the best setup in 2024: an S2000 classic connected to a midi controller like the Maschine, or do you think it would be better to buy the MPC2000 classic? if we focus on speed and comfort when sampling and better workflow.
This deices it. I'm repairing my junky 2000xl.
that's the spirit
English good bro, I understand u clearly bro!
I didn't ask why. I know and get it
teraz wiadomo ze Noon smiedzi mpc 2000
But you were just crying about chopping on the 5000 😂 this guy.
Yes and I say why I was crying about. this guy
So what happend to the previous 4 units? Hopefully they didn't break?
Earlier when I want to test a new MPC, I sold the previous one. Often when I get bored with beat machine I return to 2000 classic as a “default beat machine” ;) when I was in NYC, I even bring 2000 classic as souvenir;)
If 2000 Classic is your choice, I think the culture needs a Vu & Damu the Fudgemunk collab … it could potentially be a Madlib & MF Doom / Madvilliany kinda thing. A hip-hop kid can dream. 🎭😎👊🏼🥁💥✨☮️ @dopegraffhead
Not possible because I would not now how to use words in front of Damu, such a great beatmaker
What effect did you use to get that wah wah sound on the trumpet?
Filter with LFO
