  • House of Horrors survivor Jordan Turpin is revealing new details surrounding the horrific abuse she says she and her siblings suffered in foster care. The information comes from her new People Magazine Cover Shoot interview. The Turpin siblings are now suing the foster care provider and Riverside County, California, claiming they had to know the foster parents were unfit. Her foster parents pleaded not guilty to abuse charges.

I have to disagree with that. You have to understand that her brain is still in "survival mode" and all that "calmness" you see is probably due to the fact that she went from "hell" to experiencing overwhelming acceptance and attention for the first time. But remember! She is deeply traumatised, and she probably mistakes the "media attention" for kindness, when in reality they see her as a money making machine! I'm afraid that all that media attention is gonna damage her even more eventually. Maybe not now, but don't be surprised if you hear some "tragic news" in a few years.

The county also kept millions in donations that people sent for the kids and refused to give it to them. Most of the adult children were literally homeless for long periods of time, while the minors were placed with abusive foster parents. The county wouldn't even give them THEIR money to get basic needs like apartments or transportation. Watch the dateline or 20/20 special they did, it's extremely messed up.

Sent to a bunch of different "homes" and most of them were for-profit farms or ranches that used us for free labor under the guise of "chores." Then forced us into a religion and church that wasn't ours and had permission to physically discipline us "within reason." And the in-between shelters were just as bad. Locked in a room with 5 other kids the whole day except for school. And yet the alternative was starving with our crackhead mother so 🤷

The County knew what was going on, the Police refused to believe the girl, Child Services refused to do anything for years while knowing about this (again this is a VERY common problem in our world, CPS does NOT actually protect children most of the time and end up putting them into abusive homes because they get a kickback from the parents for putting the kids with them). When I heard about this, I was not surprised at all honestly. I have an Uncle who's worked in a boys home for several years now, I even went to school with some of them and they were drug dealers, tweakers, wannabe gang bangers or kids who genuinely just had issues trusting others (like one who torched his whole ass house hoping to kill his abusive parents). Whenever a kid goes off to a home, they usually end up back at the boys home until they turn 18 because the family will abuse them or try to force them to work for them so they can keep the money from adopting children while doing nothing in return.

Jordan has come so far now. I'm so happy to see that she's finally free, and I think she was a true superhero for her siblings by climbing out that window, running away and calling 911 so the cops could see the living hell her parents made her and her 12 siblings go through and her parents could receive the punishment they deserved for almost 3 decades. And she's grown a lot, from this shy, scared and disorientated 17-year-old girl to this confident and empowered young woman in her 20s. She deserves all the happiness and peace after all this ordeal she went through for the first 17 years of her life, and her siblings too, it's so sad that after all the abuse they suffered by their parents, they're still being subject to abuse from others, I hope they can all get out of that place as soon as possible, they don't deserve this, no one does. I feel so terrible for her and all the other kids in that house. She grew up not knowing so many things. I wish them incredible lives.

I won’t say I’ve been abused but mentally am really exhausted in this household and would like to get out after my education nice to see someone stand up for themselves.
