you make the swap in such a casual manner, like it’s nothing. Your beyond expert. If I ever get to a financial freedom point in my life. I’d pay you to teach me about 3rd gen Preludes and even these Accords. excellent work!
has to be the closest to plug and play you can get for an engine swap. gives me confidence that I could pull it off with my Cb7 which helps my dreams a lot lol
Man you made the swap look so easy! I dread every time I have to pull my h swap from my cb it really is an easy swap but it seems like I always get caught up on one stupid boat that makes the job three days longer lol
I miss my H22a turbo Accord. Bought it turbo and swapped already all it needed was a new wastegate.. got the whole car for only $800 bucks. Best deal ever when you are only 18yo wanting a fast car.
I got a 91 accord back in September with 330,000 miles. Love the damn car and don't want to get rid of it. So I want to swap it as well. Cylinder 1 and 3 are leaking so I'm driving the thign till it blows till I replace the engine.
Awesome video. Building a CB9 with a 5spd conversion and pairing it with a '01 H22. What did you wire the knock sensor to? Also I've heard that the F22 driver side timing belt mount needs to be swapped over? Any truth to that? The rear H bracket - did you use the H22 one or F22 one?
I wired the knock sensor to D3 at the ECU. I think there were some variations on the left side block mount, I don't know if the one from an 01 H22 will need to be changed. This is an early H22 and I didn't have to do that. I used the F22 rear bracket.
If you are converting the cb9 from an auto to manual you technically need a custom aftermarket mount. You can use the trans mount from a 92-96 m/t prelude but the motor will sit crooked with the trans side being lower. Some people say the crank pulley hits the frame rail but I personally did not have that issue. I just didn't like how the engine was crooked so I got an innovative mount eventually. Awesome video.
@@andrewnooney8283 Thanks. Yeah I picked up the Innovative 75A auto to 5spd conversion mount set which includes the special trans mount and rear engine mount that replaces the shorter OEM vacuum assist mount.
Clean car! What ecu is this? I have a 95 lx accord that has a 97 h22a swap and I'm not getting the vtec to engage its ran with a poa ecu. Just wired in the vtec does it need the knock sensor ran as well to work
Ok when I was searching I read the ex came with a POA f22b1 vtec is why I thought I could get away with just pinning it. But imma look for a p13 and see if this gets me going. Also the car still has the auto transmission would this be an issue with the P13? And should I get the vtec solenoid with the pressure sensor the one currently on it does not have the oil pressure sensor. I appreciate the help as well 🙏
@@nickwooo1 Even if you got VTEC to engage with the P0A ECU the redline on it will be really low for an H22. P13 is the way to go. I think it will be fine with the automatic. For VTEC to work you need a working speed sensor, VTEC pressure switch (can be bypassed), and accurate engine coolant temperature. It should work without the knock sensor but I believe the ECU will pull timing if the knock sensor isn't working.
@@Prelude3g ok Fsho my man. I was first thinking of going Hasport or innovative but I was confused if I had to do any specs. So I had to do. Thank you so much

This guy is a guru among Honda enthusiasts
I stumbled across this by accident, and I know that you are a Prelude channel, but my favorite car that you have is that 92 Accord!
I got a 93 accord and it's winter beating for life 120k km
Man knows his cb7 swap. The trans 5th gear swap is more complicated than mentioned. Wish i had his shop.

Nice H22 A swap on CB7. I have H23A Blue top swap on my 94' Accord since 2014 and still love it.

Amazing work look beautiful 🙌🏿
10:00 beautiful under the hood. I thought my 93 CB7 was clean, but it doesn't even compare to yours.
I can see why this swap is so popular for CBs! I think I'll keep my f22 though 😅
Super clean my dude!!
Engine look good Nice work 👍🏾👍🏾
Very clean job
Looks clean, sounds good!
was that hint that you trying to make a awd prelude

P0A is just the Accord ECU, it doesn't support VTEC. For a stock ECU you need a P13 from a 93-95 Prelude VTEC.

If I can ask my man. Which motor mounts did you use? Did you use after market or OEM?
Just the stock Accord mounts. I swapped the rear bracket from the F22 onto the H22 as well.

Do I need to make any mods to do this swap? Or is it just as easy as take the f22 out and put the h22 in ?
The only real mods are adding the VTEC+Knock wires and maybe exhaust work to mate the header to the exhaust.
Which aftermarket motor mounts would you recommend for the swap did the exact swap rear is fine but thought id go grab new mounts
Hasport with the 62a urethane inserts is what I would use.
What strut tower brace is that? What swap do you think is better for CB7 H22A Or H23A?
H22A
Great content,
What all did you need for the swap?
How much do you charge for this swap? On 3rd gen
Where'd you get the strut bar? I want one for my CB. That's reminiscent of the one in my E92.
It's custom made. I think ESP sells a similar 3 point bar.
Do you know if there is a comprehensive list of parts that are interchangeable from the f22 to the h22? Im in the middle of trying ti build an h22 for my cb7
I don't know of a list like that, but you could try checking the cb7tuner.com forums.

What type of headers did you use?
Megan.
I just got my 91 lx coupe h22a swap done ex trans it was rough
What power steering pump, bracket and high pressure hose did you use?
Have to make a hybrid pressure line. Half of the prelude line welded to half of the accord line. Use the h22 pump and bracket
For the h22 swap third gen prelude do you have to use the injector resister block ?
It just depends on the type of injectors you use.
@@Prelude3g stock injectors from a 95 Honda prelude

Do you know if you can k swap these 1992 accords?
Yes, Hasport makes the mounts.
What’s up with the crv?
How do I get in touch with you ?
Kinda wanted to see 5th gear action
How awesome dude! I have plenty of prelude content on my channel as well if you ever want to check it out
