In this special episode, we're joined by President of the Hawaii Nurses' Association Rosalee Agas-Yuu after more than 600 nurses were locked out by the management of Kapiolani Medical Center following a one-day strike on Friday, Sept. 13. Lockouts are a rarity in Hawaii's labor landscape, but a popular labor-busting tactic on the mainland. The move marks an escalation in the year-long dispute for a new contract, with patient caseloads at the center of the negotiations.
