Critics must be critical of India/ DRDO limitations to be unable to deliver a MANPADS which suits Army's demands. That's why Stryker is pushed down for the Javelin ToT

The inability to make bulk artillery gun orders after 30 years of the requirement being known is mind blowing. 155/52 towed and truck mounted guns should have been signed for years ago. I agree that the STRYKER is completely unnecessary as the WHAP can fill that role.

F 21 will be obsolete soon . Best to be avoided . It will benefit only Lockheed Martin in utilizing its spare capacity . Even F35 should be avoided . USA is an unreliable supplier as seen in case of delays in supplies of F404 jet engines . There will be problems in procuring spares in future .

Thank goodness. The Su-75 is a pure grift, Russia can't pay for its funding so the company wanted to find another country to bilk into paying for its R&D. Just look at the state the Su-57 is TEN years after flying, the 75 would not be baked for a long time if it ever gets there, and we should be well into AMCA timeline by the time it's a fully baked product anyways.
The only thing that would potentially make sense is the Su-57M as a stopgap for a few squadrons, but again I'm only saying potentially, if it does pan out that the next batches coming are the "M" variant for "modernized" in Russian development, aka when it's actually baked and flying with the engine meant for it and modernized avionics. But it's likely even that won't make sense instead of just going ahead with the super 30 and gearing up Tejas, the naval Rafale order, and perhaps one more G2G Rafale order for the IAF, and that's it for foreign jets.
It's a process to be 5 th generation aircraft. No country had built it in 1st attempt, upgradation is couninous process in 5 th generation aircraft.
How do you know Su 75 is good? Even after 10 years Su 57 could not prove its stealth. With the history of last 50 years of russian jets, our forces know the tall claims of russia which always fall flat in the war.

Like most of us I’m too not supportive of obsolete Stryker system which lacks amphibious feature over our indigenous Whap. But somewhere I feel that Stryker, SIG rifles, M777 kinda deals are being done due to US lobby and undue pressure. They must be arm twisting India to buy these defence items in return of F414 engine TOT & potential derailment of Tejas MK1 program by delaying F404 engines.
Handling or managing geopolitical balance & diplomatic ties with powerful nations comes with a price and sometimes the govt has to accommodate such deals in small numbers but the focus on indigenous items is not compromised.
But yes I agree that trails of indigenous weapons is way too long and not justified. This needs to be relooked and shortened without compromising on the quality of the product.
Why do we expect that some countries will give us technology? We should do it on our own. The USA doesn't want technology from us; they developed it by themselves. So why are we begging for technology, just as Pakistan is begging for money?
Don't need f16, Stryker javelin . We need access to core technologies like semiconductor advanced computing and cnc maching technologies etc
