Sure it does, because Mondraker is a Mickey Mouse marketing company now. The basically took a Kenevo SL with all the problems that bike has and claimed that they have reinvented the wheel!
What? How is EXO not lightweight tire? 😅 Is the lightest MTB carcass from Maxxis and totally inappropriate for this bike. Anything except DD or DH is inappropriate for this kind of bike.
Double down or DH is too heavy and probably un-necessary unless, you are racing on very rough tracks. For the type of rider that buys this its a reasonable compromise. I agree on very tough stuff I would change it but this type of bike is also not as heavy so unlike a full power bike it can use EXO protection.
@@alexbiketester Sorry but that is nonsense, you are talking about a 165/170 bike. Doesn't matter if you are racing or not. How is using EXO a "compromise"? What do you even refer to when you say "others use lightweight"? What is more lightweight than EXO? 😅 PS: is this some paid marketing or what?
@@dit4963 not paid marketing. Experience of who actually buys these bikes. Put heavy tires on it and it becomes a dog up the hill. Which raises the question would a heavy weight bike be better? What's the point of this mid weight category? My experience of exo tyres on heavy weight is no. I agree with you. On lighter weight bikes no issues. But you should set your bike up for your most common use case.
@@alexbiketester The "light" aspect should affect the range and support level, not the clearly intended downhill use case and performance. And I think is safe to say that who buy and ebike is more interested in the downhill, than the uphill performance. But yes, there are also people who buy an enduro bike but ride more like XC trails 😅 Personally I have both a Kenevo and a Kenevo SL, both with DD/DH tires (as per the bike intended use case and per what I ride).
