7:59 I always take an empty bucket or basket with me when I want to "just clip a few things". There's always some trash (dead leaves and twigs or even bits of paper) to pick up. (The "trash" bucket I use has a cracked bottom... So it's ideal for trash and carrying my pruners.) 💖🌞🌵😷

I left the door open for the cats to come in one evening, and the possum just sauntered in and started eating the cat food. It was like he'd done it many times before!😆 Thank you for sharing your day with us.
To thaw more quickly, place item in a plastic bag, get the air out of the bag as much as possible, seal the bag, then plunk it in a bowl of cool/tepid/lukewarm (not too warm) water and it thaws more quickly and thoroughly. Tip: Same goes for if you if you get very cold in winter - warm water running over cold hands heats faster than warm air.
Mary why don't you have a screen door that way you can leave the main door open but no racoon can come through the screen door except the fresh air and the sound of nature. Loved this video. Everything looks so lovely. Thank you for everything.

What a great video! I can relate to the raccoon, once I let my dog in at night, and he carried a possum in the house, I kept telling the dog to get him out and HE DID !! I was so grateful for that !!

I leave my doors open too. I love the feel of fresh air and listening to the birds. Last month, I finally invested in a screen door and I love it. I get all the positives and none of the pesky unwanted visitors.

I should have ordered more than I did , I didn’t expect everyone on the list to come! Should have ordered 30 of both scents of soap and both scents of candle. We had 53 ladies attend, plus their preteen daughters. LOL!!! The ladies loved them all! Big, big hit for sure. Your Lilac Soap I bought is almost gone, that smell is so true to the scent of real Lilac… amazing! Hope you make more. Do you ever get birds in your “she shed?” Oh my the Raccoon! I enjoyed this DITL. I always love seeing Ohio in the spring. Your raccoon visitor reminded me of my Grandmother. Years ago she walked into her bedroom, and there, curled up on her bed like a stuffed animal, was a LIVE raccoon!!!! She eventually shooed it out with a broom.

MB did an amazing job on the shrubs🙋♀️🌷 Lol! I have 2 cats and a cat door. During the summer, I don't usually close the inside door but have a screen door thankfully no wild animals have come in. Your Raccoon looked as if he knew what he wanted 💞

Re: racoons in you house. If you don't want a screen door, what about a baby gate? They run about $10 at Walmart. Or can raccoons climb a baby gate? If the raccoon pushes through the screen on a screendoor, there's nothing more country than a metal grate on the bottom half of the door. 💖🌞🌵😷

Hi Mary. I so enjoy your creativity! The small soap favors are great. Just a thought, there is a way to have your labels marked by the printer when printed so that they would be so fast to fold onto the bars. And small glue dots would be fast and easier on your nieces fingers when she pushes in the pin. I bet the dollar tree dots would cost less in bulk. Just my idea to streamline those little jobs! Peace!
Agree. Glue dots are a lot quicker than tape and probably a lot less expensive than pins. Also, the pin seems to be potentially dangerous to the consumer, or at least gives someone a reason for a lawsuit.

Leave the racoon a bowl of his on your deck. Then he shouldn't come in. Also water. We have racoons at the beach at our house, We feed them dog food.

I leave my doors open too. I love the feel of fresh air and listening to the birds. Last month, I finally invested in a screen door and I love it. I get all the positives and none of the pesky unwanted visitors.

YES, you did the Soap and Candles for the Bridal Shower I Hosted for my Granddaughter. I should have ordered more than I did , I didn’t expect everyone on the list to come! Should have ordered 30 of both scents of soap and both scents of candle. We had 53 ladies attend, plus their preteen daughters. LOL!!! The ladies loved them all! Big, big hit for sure. Your Lilac Soap I bought is almost gone, that smell is so true to the scent of real Lilac… amazing! Hope you make more.

Oh my the Raccoon! When we lived in the Country, they would eat our cats food also. So we started feeding them inside!

Here in the middle of Nebraska we have cold winters as well so I so love having flowers in the spring, summer and fall. The racoon in your home was so funny! A wooden screen door with a latch lock would solve your issue with raccoons, and you would also get the breeze from the outdoors. 😊

I enjoyed this DITL. I always love seeing Ohio in the spring. Your raccoon visitor reminded me of my Grandmother. Years ago she walked into her bedroom, and there, curled up on her bed like a stuffed animal, was a LIVE raccoon!!!! She eventually shooed it out with a broom.
Your level of calmness looking up and seeing a very large racoon in your home was amazing! Lol. I would have freaked out. Might be time to definitely have a screen door installed.

Lol! I have 2 cats and a cat door. During the summer, I don't usually close the inside door but have a screen door thankfully no wild animals have come in.

Mary I watch your videos for relaxation. I do not have the same taste as you with decoration but can appreciate what you do. I used to paint furniture when I was young like you. I love your videos Mary & they are never boring! Even a day filming your life is very interesting. I have always enjoyed whatever you are able to share. I also enjoy watching you cook! Also, you were so calm with the raccoon coming in your home. I know I wouldn't have been that way! We live in a wooded area so many outdoor creatures roam thru the woods but never come close. Thankfully your visitor knew to go right back outside.

Re: racoons in you house. If you don't want a screen door, what about a baby gate? They run about $10 at Walmart. Or can raccoons climb a baby gate? If the raccoon pushes through the screen on a screendoor, there's nothing more country than a metal grate on the bottom half of the door. 💖🌞🌵😷

Hi Mary. I so enjoy your creativity! The small soap favors are great. Just a thought, there is a way to have your labels marked by the printer when printed so that they would be so fast to fold onto the bars. And small glue dots would be fast and easier on your nieces fingers when she pushes in the pin. I bet the dollar tree dots would cost less in bulk. Just my idea to streamline those little jobs! Peace!
Agree. Glue dots are a lot quicker than tape and probably a lot less expensive than pins. Also, the pin seems to be potentially dangerous to the consumer, or at least gives someone a reason for a lawsuit.
