For somebody with a 17+ year career in journalism & parts of it investigative journalism, she is a shame. She was so taken up with the glamour, looks, lifestyle, money, romance that she lost her sensibilities & years of investigative skills learnt. Right from the start if all the fluff is removed, it's obvious this guy is deliberately keeping her at the periphery of his life & is not telling her everything.

I really don’t feel for this woman. She seemed to care so much for the rich and extravagant lifestyle that she didn’t care to question it. This documentary should’ve been about the suffering and death he caused his patients who trusted him. Disgusting that he made all of his money to treat this ridiculous woman to a lavish lifestyle off of the unnecessary deaths of innocent patients to give this guy clout.

This whole documentary was an apology letter to her friends and attempt to salvage her reputation as an investigative reporter.

I read the summary online of this whole case in about 2 minutes. They broke up she's devoted her life to groups and documentaries about men who scam women in romance and he is in jail. The end there you go

Like many of you I got hooked by this story, and fortunately have access to Hulu so that I could watch the remainder of the episode. These five segments altogether are roughly half of the episode. I hope this channel eventually gets its act together and at least tell you in advance that each part is only one in ten total. It would at least warn you in advance that you will not have access to the entire program at this time on UA-cam (they do have embedded in the description a link to their website to watch the whole thing there, but I would prefer that this aspect would be mentioned in the video rather than the fine print.)

This story is tragic for those patients who suffered at the hands of this surgeon, Bonita saw what she chose to see. The first clue early on should have been the fact that he was legally married, and she saw no evidence otherwise I felt they were both caught up in a delusional fantasy. The story should have been about the tragedy that the patients and their families were left with. And should not have been intertwined with her experiences with him.

Loneliness, romantic dreams and longings can overpower education, professional attainment, common sense, etc. The actress, Jennifer Lewis, recently admitted to being scammed out of many thousands of dollars by a romantic fraud.

I just looked up the article by ABC on this story and it gets to the point. Apparently when she arrived at the villa the doctor was there with another woman who is not his wife. He just turned around and walked back into the villa. No conversation between them.
