My favorite Bible at any price point. I have Bibles which are very expensive but this is my everyday and church Bible. The font size and style are very easy on my aging eyes and the verse by verse format means plenty of breaks which helps me keep my place on the page. I have it in the pink color which is lovely but just bought another in black to start some new studies with new underlines and highlights. Very nice ribbons. Love chunky Bibles. Highly recommended.

I am amazed at how much they actually made the cover look like leather.
As a NKJV fan for a decade now, I've dreamed of a verse-by-verse, personal size, large print edition. Add line-matching, a gorgeous imitation leather and good paper and this is my "dream Bible."

I myself use the ESV as well and I enjoy it and I use the NLT to help me understand what i am reading better. My Church is King James Only but I'm not. I ordered a NKJV for church since i figured it will be easier to follow along when my pastor reads from the old KJV. Also I read the KJV for about 5-6 years so this NKJV may be good for memorizing verses as well. The NKJV will be mainly my Sunday and Wednesday Bible for church and probably scripture memorization since its close to the KJV which I'm the most used to
I just got one because my eyes are at the point where I needed to get a Bible with a larger font. The readability is fantastic and the overall quality is better than expected. It’s not as quite as nice as my premium goatskin editions, but I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything
Yeah I like this Bible a lot! I tend to give them away at church because they're a great size, great font size, easy lay out and not all that pricy.

I have this bible that i had rebound and i must say its the perfect bible to travel with not too big or small. Very readable and i have really bad eyes. I have another one for writing in and marking up too. Simple to the point and not micro script.
It is a pretty fantastic size. Who did the rebind??

God has blessed her with talent thats for sure. Maybe one day i can afford Paul to do a re bind for me? I love his work too,but a little over my budget right now.

Thanks for a great review. I want one of these for highlighting and underlining, which I don't do in my expensive editions. I like the layout and the Comfort Print with its generous white spacing.

I have a KJV in the vintage series and that black leathersoft is very nice as well. I have s few from different publishers and the leathersoft/tex covers have really improved in recent years.

The NKJV is my favorite translation, but I also like the NASB95, ESV, and KJV.

Just received this bible one observation is that the red ribbon is in the book block in the old testament and the black in the new testament. I wonder if it's just mine.
I have red in old and black in new as well.
I agree with what you said about the leathersoft. Does Thomas Nelson spray their bible covers with something to make them smell like real leather? When I opened the box, I smelled leather without actually sniffing the Bible.

Hi! I'm just worried about the quality of the Leathersoft cover. I have a few Leathersoft editions by Thomas Nelson and with frequent use, the cover flakes easily. I'm a person who loves all my Bible collections and very careful in protecting the cover. I bought Bible bags and covers for my Bibles and yet the Leathersoft editions don't seem to hold up that well as expected.
Any comments or experience on that?

Well I'll be honest. I have never had a problem with Leathersoft. BUT two things. I do know others have, and I also don't tend to use "leathersoft" bible for my everyday, go everywhere do everything bible. I would say...if it's a Bible that means a lot to you and the cover is falling apart...get it rebound. There are a bunch of really good rebinders I could refer you to. Or another option would be to save up for a really nice "premium" Bible that will last generations. I have a hand full of reviews on those as well. Lemme know if that helps...or if I can get you more info.

@@ClaimingChristianity Hey thanks so much for the reply. Really appreciate your effort to make this review, I really like the NKJV and the verse by verse format. Yes the way to own a long lasting Bible is to get a premium leather one, which I did last year. I got myself the NKJV SINGLE COLUMN REFERENCE BIBLE, the goat skin is fantastic. Premium but inexpensive. But I’m a verse by verse fan, so when this large print came out last year, which I was waiting for quite awhile, I thought I want and should get it. But no premium edition, so sad. My church uses the NKJV and the preachers would mainly preach from the NKJV, and using a verse by verse Bible is really a joy while listening and reading the verses being quoted during the sermons.
By the way, I live in Singapore and Bible rebinding is not really available. May I just confirm that the difference between a regular leathersoft and a deluxe is only in the design of the cover, or are there any differences in quality wise?

@@blsingal3637 Thanks again for the chat! I honestly don't know if there's a difference between "leather-soft" and deluxe leather-soft. ( I actually don't know if i've seen a deluxe leather-soft). But there is a HUGE difference between anything else and premium goatskin.
I also have a review coming out in the next week or so on Thomas Nelson's new "Maclaren Series" NKJV. It's really nice and it is VBV. So you may want watch for that. Maybe a good option.

Yeah. I could go with a thinline. Just a little taller and wider but thin.
