Hi! So they did this to me today to treat a cavity in the last molar on the left side. It was the first time in my life I feel pain when they injected me, and I´ve done this many times. Also, my jaw locked shortly after and I could not open it so we had to cancel the procedure. Is what she is explaining what happened to me?

I am from India.
My father is not able to open the mouth after the root canal treatment. It is been 25 days since the rct done. 3 RCT was done. One on 6th molar on right and and one on left side , and one in the middle. Problem is happening on the right side . Mouth is not opening for more than 1 fingure. if he tries to open more, sever pain comes near the mandibular joint. His age is 59 and he is also a diabetic patitent. We have been taking antibiotics and muscle relxant since last couple of days. Not much improvement. As per the suggesions, we have been trying to do the excercise as well. We trying to insert bundled ice-cream sticks. Since last 6 days, we are stuck at max 10 sticks only. if we try to increase one more stick, immense pain is happening.
My life has become really miserbale mam now.
Could you please help us with this issue ?

Did he get better? The same thing is happening to me. I had a root canal. It’s been 1 week and I cannot open my mouth wide enough for them to place the crown. I cant food like hot dogs, sandwiches, only liquids or very small foods like nuts. Hopefully I lose 5-10 lbs but also it is very frustrating to be this way.

Take ibuprofen 600 3 times daily
Keep mouth forcefully open for 1 hour after taking every ibuprofen
