The episodes blu-ray order was kinda strange because the time they had the plays was in that order, too. Episode 2 was postponed because of covid, while the schedules for ep.3 stayed as it was. So they had ep.2 after ep.3 with addition of new characters Victor, Luca and Andrew. Hope this explains well for you 😙

If you like Hirai, you should watch S.Q.S Episode 3, Romeo in the Darkness. Freddy and Mike are in it, and Hirai plays a vampire.

If I'm not mistaken, the reason why Mercenary wasn't there for the third play was because of scheduling conflict (he joined SASUKE if I'm not mistaken) and movic, the company who produced both IDV and the Machine Elements plays you mentioned, pretty much have a habit of not changing actors as long as possible if they can help it, that's why they'd rather let Acrobat, Lawyer, and Mercenary disappear for no reason instead of recasting them! I'm a fan of both so I feel like adding in, but Suzuki Yota who plays Postman is actually another main character for the first Machine Elements along with Agata Gouki and Hirai Yuuki.

man i genuinely miss them so much 🥲 especially the time when they were performing double down, i remember being in lock down and i'd just religiously check twitter every second because the actors would post pictures & videos of the performance everyday

I know virtually nothing about it because I can’t find it, but IDV stage is one of the best parts of the fandom I think!! You’re so right!! So much time and dedication and it became something that almost everyone loved so much…. my heart aches knowing we aren’t going to get any more…..
It’s quite hard to find online because you’re only supposed to have it on DVD, but there are some clips on Kano Suga’s youtube channel and there are also some clips on Bilibili!

But do exercise caution!! The DVDS don’t come with English subtitles!! There are copies online that have English subtitles attached but they aren’t exactly legal and can be quite hard to find at times.

They took the public download link for their translated subtitles down due to people sharing them without permission, but if you have Tumblr, maybe consider shooting them a message regarding the subtitles? I’m not sure if they’re active in IDV fandom or super active at all for the matter, as I don’t have Tumblr, but it may be worth a shot!!
