This just feels gross, collecting cards is getting to be a massive corporate monolith hobby. Now that is for Ultra Modern. Luckily I can go back to singles from days of yesteryear.
Having the major sports, marvel, star wars, etc under the same roof blows card wise. It's just Topps and Topps just doesn't have the brands that Panini and Upper Deck do. Plus who will provide competition to keep prices in check and what not.
Not looking forward to Topps with Marvel, just like not looking forward to them doing WWE again. Panini has done such a great job with WWE compared to what Topps was doing with it before.
These stuff are getting too expensive for my taste. Once marketed for kids, but is now for adults cause of the prices. I think it's time for me to move back to tcg, cause most of those products are still marketed for younger audiences and are therefore more affordable. I'm hoping the MTG & Marvel collaboration will be nice looking and affordable, at least the set box ones.
What is upper deck e pack? And what’s the difference between the topps marvel app that you can collect digital cards? Same with topps star wars and t Disney collect
1992 Marvel Masterpieces to the moon 😂 it is nostalgic for GenX/ older Millennials but this new product won’t create more demand for the old stuff because it’ll be marketed to Gen Z/Gen Alpha imo
Will things being “readily available” really be a positive? Doesn’t that just mean junk wax? I honestly don’t think the hobby is gonna be 10x any time soon.
I wonder how much of a big deal this is since Disney (and soon PIxar) has Lorcana. As soon as the TCG champion card price is determined by the market next year (Golden mickey card for winner), the only trading cards people might be interested in will be Lorcana. It's also evident based on my discussion with a store owner that collectibility is picking up with people collecting not only the cards but the playmats and sleeves too from Lorcana. I understand there is still a market for the other IPs like starwars an marvel but Disney and Pixar are most likely going to find more interest from the Lorcana TCG.
Am I crazy or is it insane that UD didn't have some agreement to sell Marvel product in the epack store once the license expired as long as it was old stock and they weren't producing any new sets?
The cool thing about Marvel cards was that they could use those top of the mountain 90s basketball era designs/themes via upper deck. So here I still sit, hoping the Fanatics monster absorbs Upper Deck and their elite tier card design/brand rights.
@@ronalddesjardins3547Correct, but let’s not pretend they haven’t had failure after failure on D+ and those projects have movie level budgets. Ups & downs lately when it used to be only ups.
The hate for the fake autos does not make sense to me. Secondary market has spoken and it loves them. If it has an impact on the sealed box price, then as a consumer you have the power to not buy it out of fear of hitting a card that you think is silly/not worth it. Personally, I think it's a unique take on the concept of an autograph, especially if the "auto" has a personalized touch on it like Wolverines having the 3 slashes for the "E". I'll probably never own one, but I'd rather have a fake iron man auto instead of 3 relief pitcher autos out of Topps Chrome for the same price.
I say fake sales til you show me the adults with dunce hats that pay anything above $20 for them....then again there does seem to be plenty of those folks out there
This is all part of bigger deal tied to merchandising as well I'm guessing. Cheaper option for Fanatics to also produce Disney licensed merchandise for Fanatics and Lids stores. Hoping I can finally get a Moon Knight jersey in my size lol

So in a few years Fanatics will be printing 300 sets a year between sports and non-sports. I'm sure that wont cause any problems.
They'll stop when the economy crashes

Here comes the sports card breakers! :)
You know a Donald Duck Super “Quackter” and X-men “X-Fractors” are coming
I’m all in on X-men xfractors
Joker PMG would be fire

How is this not an anti-trust/monopoly issue at this point ?
topps have their own lobbyists in the congress and senate. im sure they have parallels there too sadly
When it comes Mirabel Madrigal cards....I.....am.....BUYING!
All the BRUNO CARDS!!!!!
@@DerpaDerpaDooo We don't talk about those.
Monopoly = lack of ingenuity.

Marvel should add artist signature chase cards or even real sketch cards of characters.
1992 Marvel Masterpieces to the moon 😂 it is nostalgic for GenX/ older Millennials but this new product won’t create more demand for the old stuff because it’ll be marketed to Gen Z/Gen Alpha imo
At least all those iconic upper deck sets will live on with DC right??
Yes they will
Topps Star Wars Chrome Sapphire has been a thing for a while
I hope Topps doesn’t do crossovers with the licenses in product releases. Wembenyama dunking on Goofy doesn’t sound great.
delete this , dont give them ideas
Upper Deck got 23xi NASCAR racing license now

Cinderella never turned into a pumpkin. It was just the horse carriage.

Topps Chrome Marvel 😱

I’m wondering if it’s exclusive license. I know Kakawow has license too, or did they lose it? Multiple licenses perhaps 🤷🏻♂️
Overseas licenses are different than US
Topps been had rights to star wars
So if they have marvel chrome out now what's the new addition in 2025 for marvel?
TUAs career is over
Random but true
What’s up Neo

Upper deck might buy metazoo license soon?
Partnering with Disney is a HUGE mistake !!! That franchise is on their way down !!!
😂 They just made 1.9Billion off of Inside Out 2😂

The sports card market is already rekt lol
Cant wait for the transgen gender affirming physician cards to roll out
🙄
Lmfao😂😂😂
Sad thing is...he isn't wrong
More expensive? Yeah I’m out ✌🏻

A few years back, graded base cards were popular as well, so we'll see if it's real demand or another pump and dump.

So no more Marvel pmg cards.
Topps Chrome Donald Duck wen

Cheers to a new phase of Marvel cards. Let’s see how it goes.
I would eat up marvel X-men 97 if it’s good
Your show is being sabotage by Kam à la Harris ads so if you want me to continue to watch your show, get rid of those Kamala Harris ads
Content creators do not control what ads get shown. If you don’t like ads sign up for YT premium than all of UA-cam is ad free.
Lol you’re a dope. 😂
Does this license have any affect on Kakawow?
