There were many discrepancies throughout the whole video, and the gate agent was not necessarily being rude, however she simply obeyed the protocol that the airport, airline, and the FAA require to have. Should your temperature reading exceed what is expected for a uninfected individual to have, then you should expect there to be repercussions. And finally, a baggage handler does not work for an airline, they are working for the airport in general and are overseen by airport administration and authorities.

Exactly. Many people volunteer to do that if they feel like their carry ons are way to big. There is no "check in for bags are closed". Oftentimes the airline itself as for volunteers especially if its a full flight.
