I hate to be a downer but I see some design flaws and wonder how they impacted you after using this coop. Or maybe they were not an issue? Egg hatches opening from the top. Did it tend to make setting hens skittish when you opened? Did the coop door/ramp become troublesome opening and closing every day instead of a vertical explosion sliding door or even better an automatic. Was the screen door that opened into the coop an issue with pushing it into the floor litter every time you wanted to go inside?

Love the workmanship. However, I didn't catch the type of flooring.

We also got a coop and covered run that was Amish built. Not the same company as yours and I can see that you have a much better quality one than ours and we paid almost $6,000. We put a lot of upgrades after it was delivered, insulation, linoleum floor, paneling, we finished the ceiling and painted it white, electricity, painted trim interior windows, and we made a divider wall in the coop and in the run in case we need to separate different age groups of chickens or overly aggressive chickens. We also strengthened the structure with hurricane ties and screws. I have 18 new babies that are almost ready to go outside once we reinforce the 1/2" wire fabric on the run, the company used staples which could be pulled out easily by a bear or coyote and we want to replace those with deck screws. This is all new to me and I want my babies to stay safe and sound. Do you have an update on your finished run? I would love to see the finished project.
