Damn dude, I run pugs every week since my guild doesnt have a large enough of a core raid to do a full run, about 16 raiders. I also was planning on starting my farming for my TF when I get one binding, little did i know, I happened to get both in one run weds.
Our guild got both bindings, second one dropped around Xmas, a miracle really. We're already working on the mats and will hopefully get it soon after phase 3 releases.

This is what new expansions needs, as you said you know only couple of them that is going to have tf. Now everyone have legendary items, quests are long but not hard. I remember back in the days that quest was mind blowing.
Just had both bindings drop in a single run and most of the raid voted to give them to me as the MT-RL. Immediately after the raid came to this to learn what I need to do next.
I remember when I got this weapon after Naxx raid had arrived. The OP look and insane proc rate it had was just a true legendary weapon. In the hand of a fury warrior, this was every melee nightmare to face in PVP. in PVE this was every tanks nightmare. Holding aggro off a fury warrior was hard AF unless he himself had the TF.
Dumbest comment in 2020 granted. Congratulations on being the dumbest fuck nut to ever use the internet. Ravager not "The ravager" is an over hyped piece of garbage that is only used while "Dungeon Leveling" only. It got no use in PvP, no use in Solo Leveling and you don't even use it till 60 while Dungeon Leveling, and for the -20 levels that you use it for it doesn't proc 60% of the time so you'd be better off with a slow 2H even in dungeons like Whirlwind Axe if you don't wanna be waiting for a proc that doesn't happen a lot and when it does the damage isn't that good unless there is 20+ mobs or so.
@@skull1164 You can do a /cancleaura Bladestorm macro and cancel the Whirlwind effect 0,5s before the actuall swingtimer goes off. You get the dmg from the proc and the dmg from your auto attack. In fact, this weapon is better then Whirlwind Axe 8)
I did a numbercrunch real quick and the number of guilds with both bindings is probably larger than you realise. Assuming a typical raiding guild has killed both bosses needed 14 times so far, if the true droprate is 4% they have about a 19% chance of having both bindings. If the true droprate is 3% it's more like a 12% chance of having both. Using Wowhead classic it actually looks like the Garr binding has a better droprate than the Geddon one at 2 and 6% respectively. If this is the case it's something like 14% chance of having them both already. Looking at census data, assuming that you need about 60 active L60s to maintain a raiding guild and that about half of active 60s are raiders you get about 3 or 4 guilds currently with both bindings for a typical server/faction. This tallies up with my server where there are 2 guilds I know of with both bindings, so there are probably 1 or 2 with both that I don't know about. On a server like Faerlina there may well be considerably more.
My guild leader has both bindings. I also know of 3 others on alliance Herod. Thats 4 people total on a highly Horde populated realm. Im speculating around 7 to 10 people have both bindings on Herod alone
Herod has a lot more players that log their raids almost 50% more than Faerlina. Based on warcraft logs numbers. Also we finally got our first binding drop to weeks ago and the second last week so our MT is set. We might be the only horde to have in on Heartseeker but our population is tiny as its Alliance dominated.
So you can't start the quest with only one half of the bindings... I know because I went into my bank after I watched this and wanted to go to Silithus but, yeah, you can't in Classic. The video was awesome tho. Thank you

Amurica from Thundercats on Whitemane has both Bindings. Artimus our main tank from our 2nd raid is missing the Garr binding. Whitemane has been confirmed as the largest server due to it's long cue times still. Also I play on Faerlina as Horde. I have been hopeing to see you(and probably would die to you as I am a low level shaman healer). But I will probably just have to catch you on my main in AV. As always. Take care and have fun. you are wrong. thunderfury doesnt do aoe damage, the 300dmg apply only to the first target, the big aoe threat it does comes from the debuff it applies to the other targets
My maintank is duo running dm east with a pally / priest heal for arcane crystals. Works so far and with boes and librams and felcloth and stuff its a great money maker as well.

WHAT the WHAT!!? How did you completely fail to adress the problem that someone else could steal Thunderaan and his loot right in front of your eyes?? What happens if multiple raids from both factions comes to turn in the quest at the same time just after P3 launches?? Can the top guild just STEAL Thunderfury drops from everyone else?? Will all your 5000 gold and farming be all for nothing?? Or can you resummon?? Other than that - good video! I've been confused about all the different drops/objectives surrounding Thunderfury. No more. Now can I have another one for Atiesh? EDIT: I think you can only loot the quest item when you are on the quest, and you can just abandon quest and reaccept to resummon the boss so no worries.

Many Furbolgs and Yeti's died back in the day, that'll learn them to stand near Thorium nodes. Used mine pretty much all of TBC, although there was a nerf (proc rate ?) towards the tail end of TBC which whilst a bit annoying for those who had one but like you said Tanks fell into the have/have not which quite crappy for the have nots
In vanilla, my guild didnt know what the bindings were for. This was just a few months into launch and I am ashamed to say that the first binding went to a hunter who spent dkp on it.
Reducing resistance is not the same as increased damage taken. However what was said was not entirely wrong, spells can be partially resisted greatly reducing the damage done by the spell but lowering targets resistance to said school of magic does not actually increase the 'max' damage that school of magic can do, but rather reduces the chances of partial or full resists.
i hate seeing thunderfury everyday now on my server.... only reason is our raiding guild has 3 raids.. 1 been clearing since september - 1 since late oct - and another started late DEC... we have not seen a single binding... yet due to our excellence with our bwl elementium ore we made the first 3 thunderfuries on the server (surprisingly... we get a lot of elementium ore) .... but still never see a binding.... now we are i think 6 thunderfuries built horde side and possibly starting to sell on alliance side ....

How often is the proc rate on MH and OH? And do you know if a rogue Does get it.... if it should be placed in MH for phase 3 over any other 1h weapons? And why if so?
Thunderfury got nerfed later on in TBC because Blizzard came up with the idea of only making the current tier viable (bad idea) TBC Classic will likely be on the nerfed patch if it ever happens.
Thunderfury is definitely a hunter weapon.

Thunderfury was heavily nerfed in TBC, so it was only very situational and if you didn't have a prot pally

on my server the biggest guild on kirtonos - The Oranthul have 3 sets of bindings. Nova the second has 2 sets and as does mine Fresh

3 warriors in the guild Hakuna Matata EU-Firemaw have both bindings. We have been very lucky on the drops

While everyone in classic struggles to get the bindings to drop and win the roll you can pretty much solo farm them on retail wow each week.
