His point about Lenin wanting to nationalise industry and land is only half true. He thought that it would eventually be the most efficient system but he did really believe in workers and peasant power (with the workers playing the leading role) and it was the factory committees and soviets which eventually pushed for nationalisation. The civil war basically destroyed the power of the soviets though and created the party dictatorship.
I can tell this instructor teaches with good research and enthusiasm I think that he's great..There is an old Hollywood actor named George E.Stone...and this speaker reminds me of him .The soldiers were indeed walking home .and do you know how big Russia was...they had a long walk.. especially if the railroad wasn't working....in a previous comment I made I took exception to a phrase he made but it was silly in my behalf, and I really like this guy and wish I would have had him as my history teacher compared to the teacher I had..
The Russian Revolution was the most crucial moment of modern history

Listening to historians speak makes me unable to support any group
You sound like the weak-willed Omar Shariff character in Dr.Zhivago (great movie, by the way).
@@jaysonbiggs8979 I've seen advertisements for that movie on Amazon.
Love this : It’s like a member of the Goodfellas talking about different mobs.
