I can imagine Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin all standing in a circle, struck by a fever of paranoia and debating on whom the "Napoleón Bonaparte" could be. Who will "Hijack the Revolution"? They never even imagined just looking into the mirror!

    Just a view.
What Putin had to face in Chechnia was Mujahedin army which heavily radicalized the population during 90's coming from Afganistan.
The Ukranian problem was also instigated with the heavy foreign funding to overthrow the government two months from normal elections. This did actually start the civil war there. While the Crimean solution was bloodless it can be. Considering the human factor, the soldiers in the Russian bases located in Crimea would not sit inside the bases watching the civil war, they would desert with weapons leading to mass casualties and total loss of control. Again, Ukraine slid into anarchy after foreign heavy funding of quite shady actions.
The Syrian issue is more like the USSR training with Germans to gain experience for the war to come. First of all, leaving Syria to ISIS just so the government would fall is just immoral. The fall of Syria would not destroy the world but would cause great strains on Russia since it would be basically the next in line for the ISIS through Turkey or Afganistan. Again, another foreign power has severely destabilized the region to focus on Putin's actions so harshly.
It just seems like an elephant in the room.
P.S. I loved the speech. It is decentralised from races and "evil".

10:40. What a timely comment! Somebody sitting in the Oval Office now. Very true. You had the foresight of Joe even then. What an analysis! And I admire you standing for the truth though you are a anti-human leftist.
