I don't have knowledge of the intricacies of classical music, but what a wonderful journey and crescendo! Just close one ears from the outside sounds and mesmerise in another world. As I said I have no understanding. Such a loss Kishori no more
Wonderful ! This recording has been uploaded a few times earlier but here it is as a crystal clear recording. I believe that this is Kishori's finest Yaman - .......... In this Spirit of Freedom concert she sang Bhimpalasi , then this Yaman followed by a bhajan - would you by any chance have access to this third part ? If so please upload it. Many Thanks for these gems.
Lyrics with English translation: First section: Vilambit Khayal (literally translates to Extended Imagination/Meditation) Mo mann lagan laagi Tumi sang, kripanidhan, adham udharan Tum Brahma, tumahi Vishnu, Mahesh [Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh comprise the trinity of supreme divinity in Hinduism] kaun jatan tora gun gaun, hey dayadhan Second section: Chhota Khayal (Literal translation is "Small Imagination/Meditation) Sakhi ae ri, aali piya bin, Kal na parat mohe ghadi pal chhin din Jabse piya pardes gawan kino Ratiya katat mohe taare gin gin P.S.: Raag Yaman is meant to evoke a mood of devotion and dedication. So, the lyrics are in line with that. I tried to keep the translation as literal as possible. In Indian culture, the feeling between the devotee and God is often compared to the feeling of longing/yearning that a lover has for his/her beloved. Hope you enjoy this marvelous rendering of Raag Yaman with all the encompassing emotions. RIP Goddess Kishori Amonkar.
Lyrics for compositions are in description.

Listen the Yaman by Tai in the Samarpan Album.
I did not fine anyone to sing this raag nice
Not sure if this is 1987. There is a notable cell phone interference at the beginning. This could be the 2000s
Haha I caught that too. Maybe that happened while digitizing the original recording.
Could someone please provide an (approximate) English translation of the bandish text?
