- I definitely believe that Chanel Flap Bags are timeless classics, and they are definitely here to stay. On the other hand, I think the bag itself is not THAT unique. I know I know, some of you will disagree with me for sure, but just hear me out. I promise I have my reasons to think that way and today I’ll share them with you guys. Then I want to show a few alternatives for those who can’t afford or just simply refuse to pay $10.000 for a bag that falls apart after a few uses. So if you’re ready, what are we waiting for? I think the Chanel Classic Flap bag was once considered unique and classic because it was the first handbag to have a strap.

Aspinal of London, Coach, Kurt Geiger are looking really nice right about now. $10K for a bag that falls apart after a couple of uses? No thank you. That's a down payment for a tiny house 🏠.

Classic Flap is probably only the only luxury bag I love for years. Nothing else even if cheaper and better quality makes me feel the same. Having said that, I don't think I will pay current prices anymore. Xx

After looking at the Chanel Flap Bag and Coach Tabby, I am being reminded of the Bradley from Ralph Lauren, and the fact the Sophee has a new quilted version.
I have a 2 Kurt Geiger bags- love this brand.
sometimes I'm just curious how a brand can price their products with such "outrageous" price tags when it is just a bag...not being disrespectful, just curious lol

It’s unique to me as I’ve seen one 3 times in my 55 years. I love mine and it’s great quality. I have 12 bags. Zero quality issues.
the Kurt Geiger is literly a 2 in one, its like the Chanel 19 meets Bvlgari, rather than the serpenti clasp you get an eagle

I purchased from them and the bag was horrible quality, the strap was deformed among other defects. They would not pay for return shipping ( to London!) and were very rude about it . Never again with that brand

I own 4 classic flaps and they are in excellent quality I never had problem with their quality. You know you also have to take care of your bag.... I dont like to buy seasonal bags so I dont know about seasonal bags quality but classic flap is perfect quality to me.

No one ever called the classic flap unique, especiallyil in black or white. It's just an elegant, "classic" bag. I love the aesthetic of it, but preferences are subjective.
