- Here's another method on getting the cb mics looking great without the hassle of wiring a new cord to your mic.
If you have a good mic and cable but the cord has lost it's spring, here's a way to get that coil back into the cord.
Especially good if you have a colored mic cord like on the blue Turner mics or wanted to keep a mic all original.
You may need to repeat the process two or three times, but it works with permanent results.

I found that I if I use a piece of PVC pipe it works just as well same idea.

As a comms guy, I have a bad habit of keeping everything. Never know when you might need something.
I don't throw out my cb radio cable even cat5 lan cable i take wires out then use them my other projects.

It's pretty common for me to see cords like this. Many times these radios are thrown in a box with mic wrapped all around inside for 20+ years and they kind of just stay that way until the time comes to restore the radio they found.
