What a master class! Please do a video on how to get great funk guitar tones in the box, what di box to use or preamp, etc. What compressor vst works best (in your opinion) and so on! I'm trying hard to get good tones but it's really difficult. My playing is alright, but i can tell it's more of a tone thing. I'm looking for that old school disco funk/nile rodgers type of tone. Thanks in advice!
Thanks for watching. I think straight into ... is good funk tone. If you use compressor while you play... then you could play a bit harder. You can add compressor after your performance (as mixing stage) if you needed.

About your the triplet trick you do all the time. Does it comes more from the wrist or the forearm ? I'm trying to work it slowly but to get the right move before increase speed. I really like this effect like a speed hi-hat. Thanks for bringing your stamp in the music world. Hello from France !
