Hahaha I love when Greg gets really excited by playing its favorite guitar model in such a way that it gets taken into another space-time, what's or where's that? I don't know... perhaps magical dust..
The body almost looks water damaged, and the metal hardware should be pretty dark and pitted to match that but it looks all shiny brand new like they ran out of time that day. Sounds all right!
Fender - "In the 'good old days' we painted our guitars with cheap toxic paint, that aged and peeled off quickly. We changed it to better stuff, but now people with more money than sense, have nonsensical nostalgia. So, we now recreate the guitars with the same rubbish finish and damage them ourselves, and charge the fools extra money for them. Mwahaha!".
@Wildwood Guitars Greag Im a fan , and wonderful store...but if there is one thing i really cannot digest, is all these custom shop relic crap, i can totlay support wood agine, even roasitng to apoint...but teh relicking for an expensive guitar is totly unacceptable , espeiclay when it is teh ONLY option uone is given to purchase one.... any product shoudl look mint perfeclty assembled, refined , calibrated and set up, and as shiny as a diamond.. I do understand that You guys got a business to run, but It woudl be great if wildwood would have teh guts to take an incfredible decision NOT TO commerce with fake relicked stuff, and ONLY new or True vintage.... so for Fender gibson and who ever , to move on into making better stuff instead of screwing people and development becuase of relicking . This tele u demoign hasanamzing sound, better thana true vintage and proly even better set up, bteh paint is awesome, the neck too....but its a totla piece of junk, if u lok at th econditionof this thing...its totally uneccaptable, esoeicly whne even teh body seems to have been roasted. My first real guitar was a 1982 strat.... when i got my second one i used the body of the first one as a stool, which i still use today...and in NO WAY it is even close to the condition of this tele...on top of that i smoke like a turk and i dont give a shit about my strat stool, whic is veyr useful to put ur feet on to ties ur shoe laces in the bathroom
A lot of hate for relic. It's weird. If It feels good, and sounds good, and it looks good, who cares? Oh well. If you don't like a relic cuz you don't like how it looks, that's cool, but if it looks nice...whatev
@@liamtahaney713 I personally love how it looks, because after all a Guitar is just like a pair of shoes, If you don't fuck them up do you really like them?
If you're going to make a reliced guitar, you must slap a brand new, completely pristine pickguard on it, and also make the headstock brand new and perfect. Because that's what a heavily played guitar would look like in real life, you see. Perfect pickguard. Perfect frets. Perfect headstock. Ruined body. Happens all the time. Very realistic.
Enough now. They are not vintage guitars, if they were they would be considered in very poor condition. Men should think hard before spending thousands on this crap.
Try telling that to serious collectors like Bonamassa who actively look for Strats and Teles that show signs of wear. If a guitar is beat to hell it's a telling sign that it was well loved. Moreover, I fail to see how some missing paint and/or lacquer from the body and neck makes a guitar 'crap'. The Fender CS stuff sounds great.
Greg plays the nicest guitars in America.... Wildwood really nabs the look and vibe of vintage instruments made for the modern player. But Greg does the absolute worst job of showing what a guitar sounds like. Everything shouldn’t sound like gristlepig. Not every guitar needs the bacon brother. If I want to know what a guitar sounds like, I want to hear cleans with big chords and a swell in the volume and tone. And then some arpeggios and hybrid picking. Not quick staccato and ghost notes. You get nothing from the character of the guitar. I know what Greg Koch sounds like. Let’s hear the guitar.
Wildwood offer a service where they get Greg to play and talk about any guitars that a customer is interested in. Perhaps this would be more suitable for your requirements?
I wonder how much the loser/tragic ended up paying for this piece of junk? It's arrived at the stage now where the Fender Custom Shop are turning out joke guitars, knowing that some tossers will fall for them. It sort of reminds how you can sell just about ANYTHING on ebay. Similarly, you can always trick a fool out of their money. Ha ha ha. Ya gotta laugh.......
Somebody bought a really nice Tele. That's a real gem of a guitar.
When are they going to finish painting that guitar?
It looks like something you would find at the dump.
I'd take it. She's a nice little dirty piece of ash.
I will take it that's not the question. Would you pay $4,500 for it. Or more.
It's manly.
It appears to have been made from an old barn door.
Played beautifully, sounds wonderful, looks abysmal.
It looks rough, but it sounds amazing.
That’s a sweet blouse
Serious mojo on this one. Love the color and the practically abusive relicing.
Cool Telecaster.
Dude, nice playing. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🍻
Wouldn't be surprised if it's gone already Good one
Gregory is on fire today! 🔥🔥
It's orange. Mostly.
It only weighs 6.6 lbs. The missing half pound was paint.
Geez that sounds good. I’ve got a candy tangerine tele. They did American deluxe in that colour about 20 years ago.
Awesome guitar
Excellent as always Greg,..plus you dropped a cheeky Frank Zappa ( R.I.P ) line in there as well..Dinah Moe Hum.
Wow, they really went overboard on the relic job!
Greg went overboard with the shirt too!
Hahaha I love when Greg gets really excited by playing its favorite guitar model in such a way that it gets taken into another space-time, what's or where's that? I don't know... perhaps magical dust..
Nice and light
Sold!
Geez this guitar sounds amazing. Relic job is great too
That guitar drastically needs a refinish.
I'm not a tele guy, but DAMM that baby sounds delish. 🎶🎶🎶🎶😜
Best one yet
That 'relic job" is just a little bit silly isn't it?
The intro riff is totally spooky
WOOOOOOOOOO!!! Gristle!!!
You need to pay greg more - he's a trip.

Cool comments

@William Rackham It might not kill you but it's certainly not a good thing to expose yourself to. nj.gov/health/eoh/rtkweb/documents/fs/1366.pdf
Mostly dumb men buy this crap!
This is the nature of art. In the Renaissance, they painted ancient ruins.
So, dude you’re the best guitar player
Without his skills it will look like you are playing a guitar from a pawn shop
Anybody know how much $$ it went for?
First thing I'd do is scrape off all the paint and put a clear coat on that ash to show it off properly.
I can imagine someone trying to sell this guitar for 2grand in the 6Os, hah.
i like some relics but this just looks goofy
…… and it can be yours for only 250 squillion dollars!

Looks disgusting, but thats the appeal of it (so whats the "hate" about? It is not meant to look clean and beautiful)

@@SuperEdge67 You don't have to buy a piece of junk to get a good sound.
I'm on welfare and just got a Masterbuilt Telecaster...I love scamming the system...
I hope this trend of lawyer/doctor/trust fund baby money driven shite ends soon.

I mean you have a point, but in this case, I mean....
And regardless, how many videos have the "sold" tag, so it's not a problem for the business
