- Owning a cammed C5 Corvette… my 2003 Corvette has a BTR stage 3 cam along with a couple other mods. In this video we go over how the cam has affected the driveability of the car, any issues ive had with it so far and I show some POV driving/Pulls. why did you throw it in neutral after 3:30, does that not hurt the trans or engine? I drive a manual, but only got a 5 minute lesson on how to before i was on my own, so i really dont know. Just wondering🙃
better to engine brake to let the oil pressure drop smoothly so youre right
No it doesn’t hurt your engine or trans it’s normal. Neutral gear doesn’t get worn out by coasting. Engine is still being warmed up by oil regardless if the pump works you’re good.
So, the Stage 3 cam would not be a good choice for a C5 auto with stock converter?
You’d need a different converter
