#replay. I just watched this video and I must say that this is the first time I’ve seen a video that makes converting a printer for DTF so simple and easy to follow along. I’ve done HTV and sublimation but everybody knows DTF is the way to go. I’m retired and live on a fixed income and the cost of a DTF printer is not in my budget, so l’ve started purchasing transfers but would like to do them myself. With this video and your E book help I think I can do this. Thank you 😊

OMG!!! This is awesome. I just set up my printer and software. The instructions were truly wonderful.. so I printed my first DTF image. too tickled. Even pulling out the roller wasn't too bad, I was more concerned with losing a screw. LOL Thanks so much!!

@kristenpineda1836 What paper type did you select on the actual printer when you loaded your sheet? The print will ask the size and then the type of paper. He does not show this critical step in the video. I followed these instructions to the t but am getting smudges. Really bummed and regret purchasing this setup.
@@lisanereida mine worked perfect I followed his step by step setup. Cadlink does ask the size and he tells you where to set it up.
You don’t need to choose a type only a size in cadlink . Just make sure you do exactly what he says.
@@kristenpineda1836 Gotcha. I did follow that video to the tee, several time in fact…my printer still ask when loading the paper to tray, despite the settings applied to Cadlink. But thank you for replying. Wish mine worked right away like yours. You’re so lucky.

No lie, I watched a 30 minute video and the whole time buddy was showing how to take the rollers out og an Epson 8550. I couldn't take too much more so I kept fast forwarding the video and literally at about 28mins he finally got the rollers out.... After watching the first part of your video I paused and it literally took me less than 5mins to remove the rollers from my 8550. I really appreciate your video it was very clear and simple and most of all it did not take you 30mins to remove the rollers, lol. - THANK YOU!

One question that I have, that I have searched the internet for and been unable to find a solid answer to is this, - is there a difference between 'Sublimation Ink' and 'DTF Ink' other than the obvious lack of White ink in Sublimation? Can the inks be used interchangeably?
eg. Can I put 'DTF ink in my Sublimation printer and vice versa?

I have followed all steps and only getting alot of ink printing and running.. ..no white layer and smears....very frustrating...have no idea what I'm missing here. I saw you placed the same ink fillers I have -- saying the first two are white - but the labels say black lol where does the white come in at? I'm lost..sigh

so you don't need a maintenance chip reset, to waterproof your print head or a ink waste tank? how long does the printer last by putting Dtf ink straight into it. i see people have a problem with white ink you didn't install a continuous white ink system?
Those are all great questions. So let me start with the first. It's not mandatory to do an extended waste tank but it is helpful in the long run. I have a video on how to do it. You don't need to water period your print head. My orginal has done over 1000 prints literally. And I guess that answers how long it last as well. Everything you mentioned can help improve experience but work property maintenance isn't necessary

So do you have to worry about pizza marks on this machine ? Or by taking out that first roller piece is why you don't worry. I have ep 4800. I was gone buy the 1500. I called in to work today and rolled over grabbed phone and this video showed up first cuz i found you yesterday. I’m only watching for a little bit. I haven’t gotten into the meat of things however, I’m thinking I would’ve sold the Epson ink and gotten myself bottles that were already filled and ready to go on Amazon. It’s not that expensive that it’s worth your time to do this.
Unfortunately they don’t make dtf ink bottles that fit the epson or I’m sure everyone would. The tops will only work that that specific ink color on the 8550 printer so you don’t have much choice. I ordered the epson etf ink ready bottles and they don’t fit the 8550. Live and learn!
My PB & BK ink bottles are switched somehow, meaning the PB is the bottle that fits in the BK and Vice-versa. Does that really matter since they’re both the white ink?
So I followed this video to set it up WiFi. It I just ordered and received the cord to plug it into my computer. What steps or settings g do I need to change to change it from WiFi to the printer cord?

I hope you or someone can help me out. I have the et8550 for sublimation and one that I am converting to dtf. my problem is I took out the waist tank and it will not push all the way back in, ever have that issue before and if so what is the solution. I have tried everyone except taking the printer apart. i can't see what is blocking it but the tank will not snap in place so that it can be read. any help will be greatly appreciated

Great Video and thx for this but why you use the "default colors"? The default colors are not DTF Colors and there is no white? :)
How do you stir the white ink so it doesn't clog up in the lines? I read all over the internet that when you have a DTF printer, you have to mix or shake the white ink up regularly, or it will settle or separate and won't print correctly, I hope that makes sense.

But now its dripping on the film everytime, what would cause that? And how would i go about fixing it?

@highlyflavored Nah, when I say dripping..
I mean the printhead is dripping at the sides of the image especially on larger images.
